President Williams Woos His Ex-wife Again

Chapter 26 I Will Save You At All Costs

Chapter 26 I Will Save You At All Costs

“My dear!” Beth yelled, and the darkness disappeared. She quickly sat up. The first sight she saw was

Jessica, tending her knee with cotton swab and disinfectant.

Beth was still a bit unconscious. She croaked, “Jessica?” “Beth!” Jessica raised her head. Her long

slanted eyes were red. “Hold on, it’s gonna be fine,” said Jessica.

Jessica was wearing a heavy makeup in a v-neck red dress, but it didn’t make her flirtatious. She

looked noble and dignified in red, just like a queen from an ancient painting. Plus, her fair face made

her as bright as a rose.

Jessica was born with the temperament of nobleness, though she was made barmaid in the Shades by

her ruthless husband. Here she resembled red plum blossom in winter, braving snow storms proudly.

However difficult it was, she never gave in.

“Jessica!” Beth couldn’t help crying, just like a child finally found someone to rely on. “Don’t worry, I’m

here!” there was tenderness in Jessica’s eyes. She carefully applied disinfectant on Beth’s knee. Her

voice was full of sadness, “I’m sorry. I was late! If only I could get to you earlier, you wouldn’t have been

bullied by Williams!”

Jessica had heard what had happened in that room. She felt regret. She could do nothing to help her

best friend. Years ago every man drooled for her, but now she was just a barmaid despised by many.

“Jessica, I’m not scared of his bullying. But you’re such a brilliant woman. You shouldn’t be subject to

Rawson Thomas! You’re the head of your family, the lady of the Evans family…How could he treat you

like that?” Beth’s throat was burning as she cried.

Jessica held back her tears, hugged Beth, and said, “It’s fine. I don’t care how difficult it is. Don’t cry.

You’ve bled a lot. It worries me.” Jessica’s fair face was full of grief, “Beth, divorce Williams. You should

start a new life. Stop torturing yourself.”

Beth was shaking, crying and smiling at the same time, “Jessica, even though I divorce him, he won’t

let me go.” “What happened?” Jessica released her and asked.

Beth did not intend to tell Jessica what had happened, because Jessica was in a worse situation, but

she couldn’t bear it anymore. She told her everything. Finally, she cried hard in Jessica’s arms.

Jessica shouted, “Kathy that bitch! I knew she wasn’t moral! How dare she frame you like that! I’ll kill

her!” Tears kept streaming down Beth’s face, “Jessica, I have nothing!” Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

Thinking of Beth’s illness, Jessica sobbed, “Don’t worry, I won’t let you die! I will save you at all costs!”

“I’m not afraid to die, but it shouldn’t be like that!” Beth croaked.

Jessica hugged her, and said firmly, “Beth, Williams and his kind are blinded. I trust you. I always do.

You’re such a good girl. How could it be possible for you to kill Mrs. Johnson? Let me help you leave

here.”

“Leave here?” Beth mumbled. ‘Can I still leave here?’ thought Beth. Jessica felt heartbroken for Beth,

“Beth, he doesn’t love you, Can’t you see it? Leaving is your best choice! Look at me. I’m such a bad

example!” Beth lowered her head, shedding tears quietly.

Jessica was the lady of the famous Evans family in City L, but she had fell in love with a deaf man.

She’s the best woman in Beth’s eye, and she deserved a better man. However, Jessica married the

young master of the Thomas family, Rawson, using her power.

Back then, the Thomas family needed money from the Evans, so the Thomas forced Rawson to part

with his fiance Mia Thomas, who was also his childhood lover.

Rawson thought Jessica forced his pregnant fiance to jump into the sea and die. To revenge for her,

Rawson destroyed the Evans family, making them broken. He even sent his wife to be a barmaid in the

Shades, a nightclub. If she upset him, he would prevent her to meet their daughter, Coco Thomas. To

see her daughter, a proud woman like Jessica had to surrender to suffering here.

Beth felt so sad for her, “Jessica, I’ll be fine. I can’t leave, or they’ll think I’m exactly the murderer of my

mother. Then I can’t get justice for myself!”

Even if she had had to leave, it wouldn’t have been now. She had given up hope on Aaron.

Jessica was about to say something when someone shouted at her outside, “Hey, Evans! Are you

dead? There are customers out there waiting for you!” The door of their room was being knocked hard.

“I’ll be there in a minute.” Jessica suppressed all her grievance and answered quickly. Beth felt more

miserable for her.

“Jessica, don’t worry about me. I’ll go home… It’s OK.” Beth didn’t want to trouble her. Jessica really

wanted to take care of Beth, but she feared more that she couldn’t see her daughter if she irritated

Rawson.

She could only wipe her tears, “Beth, I’ll go to work then. Don’t worry, I’ll see to the money you need for

your treatment. Take care of yourself. You should believe… Everything’s gonna be fine.” Beth held back

her tears and nodded unconsciously, ‘Will it be fine? I don’t think so. I only have several months of life.’

Jessica rose, and walked out of the room. She had been the brightest pearl in the city, but now, under

the torture of Rawson, she lost her light and became a silent stone.

She had also tried to help Jessica. When her family went bankrupt, Beth had begged Aaron and the

Johnsons, but they all turned her down. She hated herself being a deaf person, too weak to help

Jessica.

Jessica was her best friend, and the only one who did not despise her as a deaf country girl, but how

did such a good girl like her became this way?

After resting herself in the room, she felt better and was about to leave. Suddenly, she thought of

something. She felt her neck, ‘Where’s my necklace? It’s gone!’ It was the most important thing for her.

She was shaking madly and rushed out. She couldn’t lose it.

When she pulled open the door, she met a pair of dark eyes. She held her breath.

“Why running away from the one who saved you?” The man wore a light smile.
