Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 104

Naomi and Charles had not been spending much time, but he could clearly feel that she was not as distant to him as before. Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

She had welcomed him into her life, but there was still a slight distance to her heart.

Scott suppressed his excitement and tried to stay calm. He replied gently, “Okay.”

Naomi smiled. “Master Chandler will be returning to Herland tomorrow morning. I’ll be free, so I can meet you. When will you be free?”

Her question made his heart flutter once more. His suppressed excitement was bubbling over. At that moment, his eyes brightened. “Noon? How about noon?”

“Sure.”

“T-Then…call me when you’ll be arriving.”

He pondered for a while before adding, “I can pick you up tomorrow, too. I…”

It was then he remembered that he would be having a class tomorrow. Realizing he could not go,

he furrowed his brows.

Naomi heard the fluster in his voice. Gone was his usual calmness. She smiled and replied gently, “I’ll come and find you tomorrow, Charles. I’m free.”

If one cared for someone, one would react according to their voice, what they said, or just a single expression. The more one cared for them, the more one would react strongly.

Charles felt even his skin shivering with such feelings.

Listening to her trying to comfort him seriously, he gradually calmed down. “Okay.”

All Scott could hear was his heart racing, and his heart did not settle even after their call.

It was at this very minute that he felt a surge of courage… He wanted to let her know already.

He wanted to tell her that he liked her and that he wanted to be with her. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

As the night grew darker, the night creatures started to come to life. The frogs’ croaks cut through the silence of the night.

Naomi wore a beige sweater and a pair of wide-cut light blue jeans. She had a white square handbag by her side.

Still holding her phone, she smiled a little.

The Mercedes-Benz arrived. Its headlights shone ahead at the woman standing under the streetlamp.

Scott was on a phone call.

“He’s coming back tomorrow. When are you returning?”

Scott looked at Naomi smiling gracefully like a flower blooming in the night.

“Tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow? With him?”

“Slightly later.”

“Uh…what do you mean?”

As the car moved forward, Naomi lowered her head and hung up, still smiling.

Scott noticed. He said to the phone, “Exactly as I put it.”

He hung up. His gaze darkened.

“Stop the car.”

“Okay.”

Naomi ended the conversation with Charles and looked at the time. It was almost ten. When she returned home, it would be almost 11.

It was indeed quite late. Still, she would have no trouble meeting Charles the following day.

Of course, she could not just head there empty–handed. She had to bring something. As luck would have it, she already thought of what she wanted to bring.

She blinked and smiled.

Everything was mutual. If Charles treated her well, she had to reciprocate equally.

Slam!

The closing of the car door cut through the night and the frogs‘ croaks.

Startled by the sound, Naomi looked up.
