Chapter 176
Chapter 176
Natalie was so engrossed in her thoughts that she did not notice someone approaching her from behind. Scott grabbed the handles of the wheelchair and towered over her. His shadow loomed over her, yet she did not even realize.
He looked at her dark hair and calm, gentle face under the lights.
She was so deep in her thoughts that the noise and the chatter did not affect her.
This was her all the time. She was always focused on whatever she did.
His hands clenched tightly for a while before letting go. His darkened gaze has faded a little.
"Hey! Scott!" Belle came off the carousel and immediately noticed Scott standing behind Naomi. He was in a suit and leather shoes, looking out of place in such a fun environment. Everyone had been looking at him for quite a while.
When Naomi heard Belle, she came to her senses. She looked at Belle happily running over, yet her gaze was gleaming delightfully looking behind her.
Naomi was a little stunned. Then, she turned around to see the tall figure looming over her. She wondered how long he had been there.
She initially thought that Belle would be the one who sent her back to the hotel while he returned with Dylan. She would most probably not meet Scott anymore, but she never thought that it would not be the case.
Although she did not expect it, she was not suspicious about it. She soon resumed her usual self and turned back around.
"Scott, you came! Where's Dylan?" Belle f asked before looking behind Scott, searching around for Dylan.
Scott replied, "He's still at St. Deschamps."
"Why?" Belle's expression turned ugly. "I'll head there right away. Bye, Scott! Bye, Naomi!"
Belle quickly waved goodbye to them and ran off. Clearly, she was going to look for Dylan.
Naomi saw Belle quickly rushing into a taxi. She furrowed her brows before taking her phone and sending a message to Dylan.
Although Belle was an adult, she was innocent and naive. Naomi was worried about her being alone late at night.
Scott looked at her, sending the message. From his angle, he could see clearly what she typed. He said nothing. He wrapped his fingers around the handle of the wheelchair and pushed her forward.
As the wheelchair moved forward, Naomi looked up. She was being pushed away.
She did not know where she was going or what she was about to do. She also did not want to ask.
After sending the message, Naomi looked around at the scenery. Scott did not send her back to the hotel. He merely took her around the busy streets, just like what they did that afternoon. They were not in a rush.
They said nothing, letting the lively atmosphere wash over them as the night grew darker.
When it was almost ten at night, they returned to the hotel. Scott took Naomi to her room. Just like the night before, he ran her a hot bath so that she could wash up.
The caretaker was no longer there, but there were some additional things in the room.
Scott's suitcase.
She did not know when his suitcase was placed there, but she recognized it immediately when she saw it.
In the three years of their marriage, she remembered every single detail in the household, especially his suitcases. Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
The suitcase lying in the corner seemed to signify to her that he would be caring for her in the next few days.
Naomi furrowed her brows. Her lips moved a little, but she still said nothing.
She had already said what needed to be said. Saying it once more would be pointless.
Besides, Scott was a person who did whatever according to his liking. He had long made up his mind what he was about to do.
