Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 206

Chapter 206

Everyone was certain that Charles was talking to his girlfriend, based on his expression. They never expected that it was not the case.

Charles said with a smile, "I'm still trying to win her heart."

"W—What?"

"The famous Charles Ward, pursuing someone else's heart?"

"You were the dream lover of so many girls back then! Now you're pursuing someone? Shouldn't she be pursuing you?"

"Yeah, Charles. Come on, stop making jokes!"

"Yes, if such a handsome man like you has to pursue a lady, then what about us?"

"Wait. Maybe the lady is a goddess! Do you have a photo? Let us see!"

"Yeah! Let us look! I want to see who could have our Charles so smitten!"

Everyone went in closer, wanting to have a look at Charles' phone. Charles flipped his phone over. He smiled and said, "If I do get her, I'll bring her along and treat all of you to a meal."

Everyone knew Charles was a kind character. Not only was he handsome and came from a good family background, but he also had a great job.

He was almost flawless. How could a person like this still need to pursue a lady? Who was she?

From the sounds of it, Charles was not completely confident in getting her. His confidence was not like the past.

Charles' friends sat back in their seats and looked at each other.

"What's going on? This is the first time you're so unconfident."

"Yeah, Charles. Is she too perfect or something? With what you have, many ladies are out of your league. What's going on?"

Everyone was curious. Just like what they said, Charles was great in every aspect. A lady who needed someone like him to pursue. How great was she?

Charles smiled helplessly. His confidence wavered even more. "She's different from other ladies."

"How different? In what way?"

"I mean, all you need in a partner is either looks, a great body, or a wealthy background. What else other than this?"

They were no longer kids. Those lovey-dovey relationships would be unrealistic, which was why other than those stated, they could not think of anything else.

Charles lowered his gaze. He was smiling with delight, sincerity, and seriousness.

Everyone did not know what to say because they could see that Charles was head over heels.

The atmosphere in the room turned quiet. It was no longer as before.

Charles sat in silence. His gaze turned tender. "There are some people whom you'll like at first sight, who you want to be in touch with. You'll want to be close to her. You want her to be well. You'll want to treat her well, and you'll want all the good things to happen to her.

"You won't want her to suffer. You don't want her to be sad. You hope that she'll always be well. This has nothing to do with family background, looks, or body. With just one look, you know you want to

be with her."

Everyone's eyes widened. Their mouths gaped in bewilderment. They never thought that Charles would say such things.

When they thought over the matter, however, they realized that he was indeed such a person. He only wanted what he wanted, not something that others thought he should want.

Everyone looked at each other. One of them said, "Then…she should be able to feel your feelings. Everyone has a heart. If you treat her well, she'll feel it no matter what! Also, you're an outstanding guy. She will like you."

"That's right! This lady must surely be great. You're great too. She'll know how great you all are. You two should be fine."

"Yeah, I think so too!"

"She might've hesitated if you're terrible, but you're nothing but dripping in excellence. I'm confident in you."

"I second that!" Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

Everyone started cheering for Charles.

Charles chuckled and looked up. "Thank you, I'll try hard."

Yes. He was going to try hard. Once work was almost done, he would head over to Herland.

He had already arranged for everything.
