Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 47

It was evident that Amelia had something to say. Naomi could practically sense it.

“Hmph, you’ve kept it well hidden, going to Azalea Hills with Charles. If that despicable Sean hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t have known.”

Instead of confronting the issue, Naomi smiled and said, “It’s not that big of a deal.”

“Not a big deal? Right after your divorce, he followed you to Horizon City and even invited you to Azalea Hills. Do you really believe he has nobody else to do this with?”

Naomi was stunned.

Ignoring her silence, Amelia continued, “You blockhead. Can’t you see that someone is interested in you?”

Naomi’s heart skipped a beat. For a moment, she acknowledged the implication in Amelia’s words. Of course, the deliberation did not last long.

“I don’t think so.”

She never considered that Charles might have such intentions toward her, not even once. However, Amelia’s words made her realize that there might be a possibility.

How could that be?

Charles was outstanding in every aspect. He excelled with his knowledge, family background, and personality. He was not inferior even to Scott.

If she were still unmarried, she might have entertained the idea a bit upon hearing Amelia’s words. Nonetheless, she was married…and divorced. How could Charles have such feelings for her?

He was an amazing man, surrounded by many outstanding girls far better than her. He could not possibly be thinking of her.

As Naomi earnestly expressed her thoughts, Amelia could not help but roll her eyes.

“I’m telling you, girl–don’t you realize how great you are? Come on, let me enlighten you. Your parents have a great relationship, and you have a simple family without all those messy complications, right?

“Next, your parents were in good health and had respectable professions. Overall, things weren’t bad. While your family might not have billions, when you add up various assets, it’s in the tens of millions, right?

“Of course, it may not compare to families like the Lawsons and Wards, but it’s better off than many others, isn’t it? Furthermore, you’re beautiful. Your educational background may not be the talk of the entire world, but it’s not bad either, is it?

“Most importantly, you’re a good woman with a good temperament, and you have a decent career. Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

Considering all of this, what’s lacking in you? Where do you fall short? Why wouldn’t Charles see your worth?”

Naomi had not thought about these things, but when Amelia mentioned them, she did seem to be doing quite well. Nonetheless…

Naomi muttered, “I am divorced.”

“Ugh! So you have to belittle yourself just because you’re divorced,? Scott hasn’t made a move on you. You’re still pure, so why are you unworthy? Or is it that you don’t plan to get married? Or if you

1. do. you’ll only consider someone divorced or with a child? Do you have to degrade yourself like this?”

Naomi furrowed her brow. She had not thought about it this way. She just thought that matters of the heart should unfold naturally.

“Ugh, forget it. You’re so dull. I don’t want to explain so much to you. I’ll be straightforward: Charles likes you! He’s liked you for a long time! If he hadn’t been so slow, you might have had kids by now!

“But I won’t say much now. Since fate has given you this chance, don’t let it slip away. Make your move, girl! A flash marriage with Charles isn’t out of the question. I can assure you that Charles is a good man, absolutely fitting your image of a good man!”

Amelia continued one sentence after another, and Naomi could truly feel her urgency.

Naomi smiled and said, “Alright, alright, I get it. Don’t worry about me. Focus on yourself. Sean has been in contact with you all this time, right? He’s a nice guy.”

“Tch! Him? ‘Nice‘? Nonsense! If he has the guts to handle the tiger at his home, I’ll pack my bags and move in with him immediately. But he’s a coward. If he can’t handle it, I’m not going there to suffer!” Naomi sighed.
