Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 289

“I thought it looked good, so I bought it on a whim,” Jesse said.

Nydia was thrilled and didn’t want to reveal his lie. She wanted to try on the dress.

“I’ll try it on first,” she said.

“Okay, I’ll go out,” Jesse said.

“Why are you going out? I need someone to help me with this dress,” Nydia said, not letting Jesse leave.

“I’ll call Julia to come and help you. I can’t help you much as a disabled person,” Jesse said, resorting to self-deprecation just to get out of the situation.

However, Nydia was not going to let him off the hook so easily.

“No, I want you to help me,” she said, taking hold of Jesse’s hand and placing her palm on the back of his hand, feeling the warmth of his skin through her own palm and into her heart. It was comforting.

“…” Jesse thought he was going to suffocate in this situation.

Nydia locked the door to the dressing room and turned to Jesse, whose pupils dilated as she approached.

“Don’t come any closer!” Jesse said.

“What’s the big deal? I just need help putting on a dress,” Nydia said, moving closer and smirking.

“I have things to do,” Jesse said calmly.

“Oh, don’t worry, you can work late tonight,” Nydia said.

“…” Jesse couldn’t believe what he was hearing.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

Nydia tied up her hair to make it easier to put on the dress, then started to undress.

Jesse grabbed the armrest button on his wheelchair, which would allow him to turn away from Nydia and not watch her change. But if he turned away, wouldn’t that make him look guilty? He couldn’t turn.

Nydia turned halfway through undressing and looked back at him. “Don’t run away,” she said with a smile.

Jesse felt like a lamb waiting to be slaughtered.

Nydia was experienced in putting on dresses like this and could have easily done it herself. She was just playing with Jesse. Although the dress looked great, it wasn’t that complicated. However, her only kindness to Jesse was to turn her back to him.

After the initial preparations were done, all that was left was to put on the dress.

She carefully took off the dress and placed it in front of herself, asking Jesse, “Does this dress have a name?”

Although the dress blocked his view, a picture had already formed in his mind. His ears turned flushing, but his face remained calm. “Song of Night Tide.”

“It does have a feeling of the sea tide. Upon closer inspection, there are many intricate details and many accessories,” Nydia said.

When Nydia wore the dress, she dared not make any big movements, fearing that she might tear it apart. There were too many small details, and many parts were made of very light and thin materials. If she applied too much force, the dress might be ruined.

The dress was a strapless style with a slight V-neck, but the middle part was made of transparent material that adhered to the skin, so it was not immodest.

The skirt also had sleeves, but the sleeves on each side were different. One side was connected to the skirt, while the other had a silver pearl ring at the arm with a blue gemstone and silver thread, making her porcelain-skin even more delicate. The design also extended to the back, with a strong sense of design, like the wings of an elf, light and graceful. The entire dress was full of fairy-like qualities, just like a sea goddess.

“Can you help me tie the back?” Nydia walked up to Jesse and turned around, presenting her back to him.

The back required two very thin silk ribbons tied together, each with a pearl attached to the end. As the ribbons were not tied at this time, she exposed a large area of her back. Her long hair was pulled to one side, revealing the entire back, with curves slowly extending down to the waist before suddenly tightening, accentuating her slender and white waist. Then it slowly stretched out again, forming a beautiful and curvaceous line, but was abruptly cut off by the skirt at the most breathtaking moment.

Jesse’s fingertips trembled and accidentally touched her waist, and the heat spread rapidly like a drop of ink in water.
