Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 301 Nydia’s Return

Nydia was inside the temple, she wished there were 48 hours in a day, so she could have enough time.

Mr. Black was now confident in leaving the patients in her care.

“Hello, your mother is old and difficult to cure,” Nydia apologized to the old lady who had come for treatment. Her leg was broken and wanted Nydia to care her so that she could walk normally.

“Why can’t she be treated? Do you look down on the elderly? Aren’t you self-proclaimed miracle doctor? You can’t even cure this? What a bunch of fake healers!” The old lady’s son shouted at Nydia angrily.

“I’m sorry, we’re not miracle doctors. We’re just telling you the truth that we can’t treat her. Please seek other professional help,” Nydia replied.

“We came a long way and climbed the mountain because we believed you were miracle doctors. Now you’re saying you can’t treat her? My mother was able to walk, but now she can’t because of you. What kind of quacks are you?” The man accused Nydia of ruining his mother’s leg.

“We haven’t even treated your mother. We just examined her and told you she couldn’t be cured. Don’t make baseless accusations,” Nydia retorted.

“You’re the one who can’t cure her. She was fine before you messed it up. You broke her leg!” The man was convinced that Nydia was the one who ruined his mother’s leg. Nydia was speechless and laughed out of anger. “In that case, call the police,” she said.

“Call the police if you want. You broke my mother’s leg and won’t even compensate us. You’re kicking us out!” Nydia realized they were trying to extort her.

The master had been silent all this time, only looking at the family with pity.

“Old baldy, what are you looking at? You’re just trying to cheat people and take their money!” The man continued to insult them.

Nydia wanted to speak, but the master stopped her. She decided to call the police. Since the master had been living there for a while and had treated many people, they rushed to help when they heard there was trouble.Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

When the police arrived, the man was still cursing and even his wife was joining in. Only the old lady remained silent, and her face looked grim.

After Nydia explained the situation, the man started shouting again. “They’re all just cheating and tricking people. They ruined my mother’s leg. We don’t have much money, and they’re just trying to scam us! Officer, you have to help us!”

“Enough, calm down!” One of the middle-aged officers shouted at him, which silenced the man.

“Master, we’ll investigate and inform you of the results,” he said respectfully to the master, and then they took the family away.

The man was very dissatisfied and continued to curse as they left.

After only two days, the investigation results came out. It turned out that the couple did not take care of their old mother at all and let her fend for herself. They even beat and scolded her. The leg was actually broken by the daughter-in-law, and they were planning to extort money.

“Thank you, Sheriff Gabriel,” the master bowed with his hands clasped in gratitude.

“You’re welcome. This is what we should do. Fortunately, they were trying to extort money from you, or else who knows how badly they would have treated their mother!” Sheriff Gabriel was still very angry when he talked about this man.

Nydia, however, stared at Sheriff Gabriel with a strange look in her eyes.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Sheriff Gabriel was embarrassed, and he unconsciously touched his face, worried that there was something on it.

“Sheriff Gabriel, may I take your pulse?”

“Am I sick?”

“Let me check your pulse first.”

Sheriff Gabriel thought for a moment and decided to let her check his pulse. As a result, Nydia’s face turned solemn.

“Um… you should go for a check-up when you have time, especially your liver,” Nydia hesitated before saying, “If it’s nothing, that would be great.”

Sheriff Gabriel frowned. “I had a check-up before and there was no problem.”

“Try again or just check your liver,” she suggested.

“I…,” he looked at the master, “What do you think?”

“Go for a check-up,” the master said.

This made Sheriff Gabriel take it seriously. He knew very well about the master’s medical skills. After he left, Nydia asked the master, “I think there’s something wrong with his liver.”

“Yeah, there should be a problem. I hope he can go for a check-up. There’s still time now,” the master replied.

Nydia breathed a sigh of relief. “Master, am I considered a graduate now?” Learning medicine involves the four diagnostic methods of observation, listening and smelling, questioning, and pulse-taking. When she saw Sheriff Gabriel earlier, she felt something was off, and sure enough, after taking his pulse, she discovered the problem. However, if she said there was a problem, he might not believe her, so it would be more reliable for him to get a check-up at the hospital.

“Yes, you can pack up and go now,” the master replied.

“In two more days,” Nydia thought that after parting with the master this time, she didn’t know when she would see him again. She and Jesse agreed to meet in half a month, and she would be going back one day earlier if she returned in two days.

She didn’t know how Jesse was doing now. The way he left that day lingered in her mind, making her very worried.

“Master, how long do you plan to stay here?”

“Depends on fate.”

Well, the master’s words are always so mystical.

On the evening before Nydia’s departure, a female patient came to the temple.

“Master, I…” she seemed hesitant.

“If you have any questions, you can talk to my female disciple,” the master pointed at Nydia.

The woman was instantly relieved. At this point, the master walked out, leaving only Nydia and the woman.

“Do you have any difficult-to-talk-about medical conditions?”

The woman hesitated to speak, “It’s a gynecological problem, can it be treated?”

Although Nydia was somewhat surprised, she could guess that the condition must be something that was difficult to talk about.

“Tell me about your situation, I’ll see if it can be treated. If it can’t, I’ll let you know.”

The woman gathered up her courage and told Nydia her problem. After listening, Nydia felt that it might be treatable.

She checked the woman’s pulse, “You have a cold body, and do your periods sometimes come and irregularly?”

“Yes, that’s right!”

“Do you have trouble sleeping and often can’t fall asleep?”

“Yes!” The woman was somewhat excited.

“Your problem is indeed a bit tricky. Have you been to the hospital?”

“I have, but it’s been back and forth and very annoying, so I just wanted to try here.”

Nydia nodded, “Okay, I’ll write you a prescription first. Drink it for four days and see how you feel. Take the medicine before bedtime, and don’t stay up late recently. Set a time for yourself, when the alarm rings, take the medicine and go to sleep.”

“What if I can’t sleep?”

“It should work, but if you can’t sleep, let me know. Here’s my contact information.”

“Okay, thank you.”

Nydia handed her a sticky thing, “Put this on your belly when you sleep.”

“Okay, thank you!”

“I’m leaving tomorrow. If you have any follow-up questions, call me or come here to find the master.”

The woman nodded, looking very grateful.

After seeing off the female patient, Nydia began to pack her things. She was somewhat anxious about how to face Jesse tomorrow.

The next morning, she got up early and bid farewell to the master.

“Master, I’m leaving.”

“Okay, go forth on your path with determination, and remember to do more good deeds.”

“Okay!”

Six hours later, she returned, standing at the doorstep of the Pascall’s house.
