Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 312 Jesse, I’m taking Tavish away!

Jesse wanted to say, “Take them all away, I don’t care!” But the thought of Molly and Tavish being taken away with Nydia made him realize that he would lose all contact with them. They would have nothing to do with him anymore… just the thought of it made every nerve in his body scream in protest.

“You’re dreaming! It’s impossible! Don’t even think about it!” he roared like a wild animal.

“I’m telling you, I’m taking both children with me!” Nydia refused to compromise and shouted back at him.

“Nydia, you’re asking for it!” His face was consumed with rage, as if he wanted to burn down everything around him.

Nydia gave him a calm look and turned to leave. She realized that Jesse was beyond reason, and it was no use trying to talk to him anymore. She had hoped to preserve the fragile peace, even though the atmosphere was oppressive, but it had all exploded because of one sentence from Molly.

Molly had gone to find the two children, and Nydia couldn’t control what would happen to Jesse.

“Molly, Tavish, it’s okay now. Mommy’s here.” The two children were clearly frightened.

“Molly, it’s not your fault, really. Daddy is sick and can’t control his emotions. It’s not your fault.” She hugged Molly and patted her back, feeling heartbroken.

Molly cried in Nydia’s arms for a while. She rarely cried, and the fact that she could cry so much now was a sign that she was really scared.

“Mommy, will Daddy… be okay?” Tavish asked softly.

Nydia looked at him. If it were before, she would have confidently said that Jesse would be okay, but now she hesitated. She didn’t know if Jesse would be okay. Sometimes, mental illness was harder to cure than physical illness, and it was easier to relapse.

“If we don’t give up on Daddy, there’s a better chance that he’ll get better.” She could only say that.

Tavish nodded and didn’t say anything more. He didn’t know that many people at school called his dad crazy, and he hoped that his dad could get better.

“Molly, do you want to go and apologize to Daddy?” Molly asked while sobbing.

“We’ll wait until Daddy is feeling better. Daddy needs to apologize to you. For now, Mommy will go check on him.” Nydia wiped away Molly’s tears. “Tavish, you and Molly stay here. Mommy will make you something to eat later.”

“We’re not hungry, Mommy.”

“Mommy will make something for you later.”

Nydia patted their heads and went downstairs to find Jesse. She thought he had gone back to his room, but he was still in the dining room, sitting alone in his wheelchair among the debris on the floor, head hanging low with no expression on his face.

The dinning room was bright, but the area where he was sitting seemed dark. For some reason, her heart softened again. He had come home for dinner and had wanted to join in on their conversation earlier, but… She took a deep breath and walked over to him.

“Jesse.” She squatted down and placed her hand on the back of his hand, the coldness of his skin alarming her. She prepared herself to be pushed away, but Jesse’s hand didn’t move, he just looked at her. The crimson in his eyes had faded and turned into a deep, dark black.

“Molly didn’t want to exclude you, she just cares about you too much. She was angry that you haven’t come home for dinner lately. The kids miss you and she said those hurtful things on purpose, hoping to get your attention.”

“She loves it when the four of us sit down and eat together. But you know, her personality is just like yours, strong-willed and stubborn. She purposely upset you to get your attention.”

In fact, Molly’s personality was very similar to Jesse’s.

Jesse’s eyes relaxed a bit.

“Molly cried and told me that she didn’t mean it, and she wants to apologize to you.” Her gentle voice slowly entered Jesse’s ears. He was slow to react and mechanical, craving to hear more of her voice.

He moved his lips as if he had said something, but his voice was too low for Nydia to hear.

“Jesse, what did you say?”

“I’m sorry.”

Nydia’s heart throbbed. She didn’t expect Jesse to apologize, but she couldn’t tell if it was a genuine apology or one made in a fit of illness. He looked like a child that nobody wanted, exuding a sense of loneliness.

She felt a surge of heat in her eyes, and her eyes became sore and swollen. She unconsciously stood up and hugged him.

“I know you didn’t mean it,” she gently patted his back, just like she did with Molly earlier.

She couldn’t help but let out a sigh in her heart. He always made people explode with anger, but made people love and hate him so much that it was hard to breathe.

Earlier, she was really angry and thought about leaving with the two children and not caring about anything, letting him fend for himself. But now looking at his appearance, she felt it was too cruel.

“Shall we go to the living room first?” She asked softly.

Jesse met her eyes, and it seemed like warm water was flowing slowly in her eyes, making him unconsciously reach out his hand, wanting to touch and warm his cold hand.

Feeling the warmth on his fingertips, he suddenly withdrew like he was startled, looking so cautious.

Nydia immediately grabbed his hand, and the warmth in her palm instantly spread to his hand, making his eyes suddenly brighten.

“Let’s go to the living room first, okay?” Nydia smiled. She could be sure that Jesse was not in a normal state at this time, but she could accept this kind of abnormality as long as he did not have violent tendencies.

“Okay.” He nodded.

Nydia breathed a sigh of relief, pushed his wheelchair to the living room, and asked the servants to clean up the messy dining room.

“You wait for me here, I’ll go get Molly and Tavish.”

As she got up to leave, Jesse grabbed her hand, gripping it a bit hard, making her frown in pain.

Jesse immediately loosened his grip a bit but still didn’t let go completely, making sure not to hurt her.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

He dared not look into her eyes, just silently holding onto her hand.

“I’ll be back soon, in two minutes, okay?”

He didn’t speak or look at her, just holding her hand.

“Just two minutes, I promise to come back.” When she spoke, she gently tried to pull her hand out, but Jesse’s reaction was quick. He immediately held on tightly, and his breathing became rapid. “Don’t go!”

Seeing that his emotions were about to get out of control again, Nydia immediately comforted him. “Okay, okay, I won’t go, I won’t go. Good boy, I won’t go.”

She kept touching his head and comforting him.

“Jesse, you hurt me again.”

He looked up at her, with a probing gaze, as if judging whether she would take the opportunity to leave when he let go, and there seemed to be a hint of ferocity about to surface.
