Chapter 464
Dawson Enterprises.
After years away, Cameron found himself back at Dawson Enterprises, only to discover it was just a shadow of its former glory. The once lively office was now hauntingly quiet.
Massive layoffs had left behind a team of older and less healthy employees who clung to their jobs for dear life, plunging the company into a stagnant state. To make matters worse, the heart of Dawson Enterprises had been sold off to Maple Group, leaving just a few managers to handle the transition. The buzz and prosperity of the company had faded like a distant memory, now just remnants of the past.
Cameron's return, however, sparked a glimmer of hope among the loyal staff. They gathered around him, exclaiming, "Mr. Dawson, it's so good to have you back."
"We've got faith in you. With you at the helm, Dawson Enterprises will rise again. We'll soon be back on top."
Cameron asked, "Where's the list of companies that have taken over our departments?"
The PR manager replied, "Mr. Dawson, there aren't many local companies capable of buying us out. Only Maple Group, from overseas, made an offer, but they really lowballed us."
"Has the contract been signed?" Cameron inquired.
"Mr. Griffin couldn't stand to see Dawson dismantled, so he reorganized the unprofitable divisions. The acquisition was staggered in phases, and the last sale only included parts of the smart tech department." Cameron, clearly disheartened, said, "Smart tech?"
Everyone knew smart tech was the hot ticket these days. Selling that division would mean stepping back into traditional industries, severely hurting Dawson's market position.
"Yes, Mr. Dawson. The second phase of the acquisition signing is tomorrow."
Cameron frowned, "What time?"
"Ten in the morning."
"Do you have the contact for Maple Group's CEO? I want to cancel this acquisition." "Yes."
""Get it to me."
Without a moment's pause, Cameron dialed Morris as soon as he had the number. "Hello, Mr. Morris?"
"This is he."
Nathan, on the other end, was caught off guard by the familiar voice.
"Mr. Morris, I'm Cameron, CEO of Dawson Enterprises. I'd like to discuss postponing your company's acquisition of ours."
WY
Nathan smirked, "You don't really think Dawson Enterprises can make a comeback, do you?"
Cameron replied, "Would you be open to doing me a favor?"
"You want to partner with Maple Group to help Dawson weather this storm, so you don't have to sell?"
Cameron said, "Dealing withnoveldrama

refreshing. Rest assured, Mr. Morris, you'lDget a sixty-forty profit split."
In most industries, a forty-sixty deal shows real intent, but Nathan wasn't biting.
"Mr. Dawson, I'm more interested in acquiring Dawson Enterprises."
Cameron said, "Why insist on the acquisition, Mr. Morris? By keeping Dawson Enterprises, you'd get a nice yearly dividend without liftinga finger. Isn't that better?"
Nathan chuckled, "If I buy Dawson Enterprises, it's mine. If not, what's to stop you from bouncing back and ditching me?"
Cameron, gritting his teeth, proposed, "How about a seventy-thirty profit split?"
Nathan, in a leisurely tone, said, "Mr. Dawson, it's not about the money."
Cameron paused, then asked, "What do you want?"
