Richest Mogul

Chapter 1541

"Is Hendrix talking about today's trending topics? Who gave him the guts to interfere in our affairs? Does he think he can teach us how to handle things?" Finn asked angrily. Miriam felt uneasy and slowly shook her head. "He's not trying to meddle in our affairs. He wants to resign."

"Resign? He calls at this time to resign? Is he using his resignation to pressure you into raising his salary? He's already earning over a million a year, and he's still not satisfied? Isn't that too greedy?" Finn's anger flared up immediately.

Miriam felt a heavy weight on her chest. "He said he doesn't want this month's salary and won't come to work tomorrow. He doesn't sound like he's asking for a raise."noveldrama

"He's picked the perfect time, knowing that we're too busy to be distracted! He might not have said it outright, but he's trying to force us to raise his salary. His greed knows no bounds. People like him have no future in the workplace," Finn sneered coldly. Miriam frowned deeply. "He said the trending topics are bad for our company."

Finn laughed as if he had heard a joke. "Bad for our company? How is that possible?

"Right now, everyone is talking about how much we love our daughter, and all their criticism is directed at Steven and the others. Under these circumstances, what could be bad?"

The only downside was probably that his relationship with Steven and his siblings was truly over. From now on, they might no longer acknowledge him as their father.

But he didn't feel sad about it. When he left 20 years ago, he had already made peace with the fact that they would have nothing to do with him for the rest of his life.

Besides, what kind of bond could he have with children who didn't grow up by his side? He would rather focus on being a good father to Ruth.

"You're right. Hendrix is really out of line. I'll contact a headhunting company to find someone new. I wasn't very satisfied with Hendrix anyway, so now is the perfect time to replace him," Miriam said, nodding, putting the matter out of her mind. She immediately dialed a number. But no one picked up.

Then, she dialed again. This time, someone answered.

"Mr. Faulkner, I'm not satisfied with Hendrix. Please help me find a replacement. Preferably someone who can start work directly in the next couple of days," Miriam said.

"Ms. Nicholson, I'm truly sorry, but I can't work with you right now. When you get through this crisis, give me a call.

"However, let me just say

this-Hendrixis very capable, and many companies are trying to recruit him. They readily offered him two million dollars in annual salary, yet he still turned it down.If he couldn't satisfy you, I don't think anyone else can."

Miriam was about to say something when the call was abruptly disconnected.

After being hung up on twice in one day, Miriam's face darkened completely. Seeing her expression, Finn immediately embraced her.

"How dare they hang up on me! Do they think just because I cried at the press conference that I can't handle the company? Isn't this just kicking someone when they're down?"

Miriam said angrily.

Finn comforted her softly, "If they're treating you like this because we cried in front of the press, then they're blind."

"They are blind!" Miriam bit her lip.

After calming down a bit, she picked up her phone and opened an app. "Let's check the trending topics and see if there's any bad press targeting me right now.

"Over the years, we've made some

enemies. With so many competitors out there, it's possible someone is trying to stir up trouble at this moment. If my guess is right, I'll make sure they regret it."

"That's a good idea. We haven't checked the trending topics since this afternoon. There might really be some new voices out there now," Finn said, now calm and analytical. It was all Steven and the others' fault-if they had agreed earlier, none of this would have happened.

"This... How is this possible?"
