See You Never, Mr. Lamont

Chapter 250

Chapter 250

Chapter 250 What Did You Like About Me?

“Mr. Fleming,” Claudia interrupted the hostile situation between them helplessly, “Thank you for your kindness.”

This meant rejecting him.

Magnus pursed his lips, his fingers creaking as he clenched them tightly.

She rejected him once again.

She was really considerate towards her fiancé Horace, always defending him and fearing that he might be bullied.

When she was with him back then, why didn’t she protect him like this?

A pressure built up in Magnus’s throat, cutting like a knife, making him uncomfortable.

Beneath the mask, a face had long since turned as cold as ice, but because it was so thoroughly concealed, no one noticed at all.

“Let’s go.” Horace and Claudia stood side by side and left.

Watching the two figures leaving, Magnus ultimately couldn’t hold

back. He quickly stepped forward, firmly grasping Claudia’s hand, and said coldly, “I have something to tell you.”

The low, hoarse voice was filled with suppressed anger. If he had taken off his sunglasses at that moment, one could have seen the red veins in his eyes.

Claudia frowned, a faint pain emanating from her wrist.

Horace’s face instantly darkened, he rudely pulled Claudia to his side, sternly warning, “Magnus, don’t think I won’t dare to hit you!”

Horace’s fist was clenched tightly, trembling slightly, with a faint tendency to explode.

Claudia knew that Magnus was fuming and wouldn’t let it go until things were clarified with him.

“Just say whatever you have to say here.” Claudia’s voice was gentle.

The breeze blew by, lifting her hair, gentle and lingering.

Horace quickly moved aside, turning his back to them, giving them space to talk.

“Do not marry Horace,” Magnus stated bluntly as soon as the door was opened.

It wasn’t that they couldn’t, but they weren’t allowed.

“Why?” Claudia teased, her lips curling into a playful, radiant smile. “Do you like me?”

Liked her…

Magnus’s dark eyes were shimmering with a burning glow.

“Yes, I liked you.”

Unexpectedly, he admitted it directly, leaving Claudia stunned.

“I wished Ms. Friedan would give me a chance to pursue you,” his voice was as flat as water, “Horace is not a good man, you won’t be happy with him.” Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

The matter of Tristen’s press conference today has been thoroughly investigated, and it was Horace who was fanning the flames behind the

scenes.

Anyone who could get involved with Tristen was not a good guy, their ulterior motives were too obvious.

Hearing him say that Horace was no good, Claudia gave a slight smile, “You say Horace is no good, but what about you, Mr. Fleming? Slandering others without proof, you’re no good either.”

With a cold laugh, Magnus gritted his teeth and said, “Tristen’s press conference was orchestrated by Horace behind the scenes.”

“It wasn’t me who slandered others, it was him.”

Claudia’s heart skipped a beat, her eyebrows furrowed tightly.

Was it Horace who plotted against Tristen behind his back?

Why did he want to help Tristen?

“Do you still want to be with someone who slanders your ex–husband like this?” Magnus slightly curled his lips, “I consider myself no worse than Horace. If you’re willing, you can try with me.”

He paused for a moment, then added, “What Horace can give you, I can too.”

Claudia gave a charming smile, in which a bright light shone from her elegant and refined demeanor.

“Mr. Fleming, what exactly do you like about me?” Claudia laughed, three parts ridiculous, seven parts mocking, “Or is it enough for you to like someone, not caring whether they like you or not?”

Magnus froze.

“Unfortunately, you like me, but I don’t like you,” Claudia said,

looking deeply into his sunglasses, as if she could see the real him through them.

That sentence “I don’t like you” was like a heavy hammer, ruthlessly smashing into Magnus’s heart, crushing it.

“What about Edmond?” He couldn’t help but ask, “Did you ever like

him?”

The atmosphere was silent, and the two of them didn’t speak for a long

time.

Claudia’s gaze was distant, her tone indifferent: “I loved.”

It was not that I liked, but that I loved.

Edmond was slightly taken aback, his body beginning to ache dully.

She had once loved him, but he was oblivious. What exactly had he missed?

Thinking of his own identity, Magnus’s eyes gradually darkened. Even if there were regrets, he could still do his utmost to make up for them.

The thought that she once loved him eased his heart.

Have you ever loved?

Enough.

“Since there has always been someone in Ms. Friedan’s heart, I won’t interfere with her love.”

Magnus’s attitude took an immediate 160–degree turn.

After speaking, he immediately turned around and walked briskly towards his own car.

Claudia looked at his inexplicably cheerful demeanor, completely baffled.

Thinking of Magnus’s identity, she sighed deeply.

Forget it, she couldn’t afford to mess with such a person, she’d better avoid them in the future.

Magnus stepped into the car and sent a message to someone: Help me check the progress of Horace and Seraphina’s engagement, including the attitudes of both families and the engagement date.

Hoping everything was still in time…

At Vencumfield Hotel, Tristen lay on the bed, fast asleep.

The next morning, the waiter brought him breakfast..

Enjoying a delicious breakfast, Tristen squinted his eyes in delight.

Yesterday, after a day–long press conference, he had already become a celebrity, quickly dominating the top headlines of the trending

searches.

He just asked Horace for a small favor, but he didn’t expect Horace to do him a big favor. Horace contacted several media outlets that very day and started a nationwide live broadcast.

Edmond was dead, and everything of the Lamont family would be hi as long as his identity was recognized.

The sound of knocking interrupted his thoughts. Tristen lazily opene the door, and upon seeing the visitor, his soft face froze instantly: “Seraphina!”

Coming out of the hotel, Claudia’s steps were a bit unsteady.

Tristen solemnly swore that he was harmed by Edmond.

“He planned all this, just to get the Lamont family’s property.”

“Claudia, you were deceived by him for three years, and you still haven’t seen his true nature?‘

Tristen’s certainty made her uncomfortable.

If anyone was most important to Edmond, it was definitely his brother Tristen. Otherwise, Edmond wouldn’t have indulged Rosalie for so many years.

But Edmond was now dead.

She didn’t want a dead person to be slandered.

“Was the press conference organized by Horace for you?”

As soon as she said this, she saw a slight change in Tristen’s expression. Although he hid it well, she still noticed it.

It felt like a stone was pressing against the bottom of my heart.

“Tristen, lying will strike you with lightning, I hope you can always live up to your own conscience.”

After saying this, she turned around gracefully, not seeing the slightly pale face of Tristen behind her.

Not long after she left, a black Maybach also pulled up at the hotel

entrance.

The car door opened, and a man in a black coat got out. The man was wearing a black mask, revealing only his cold, thin eyes.

The fragmented sunlight fell between his brows and eyes, agitating and eye–catching, shimmering brilliantly.

“Mr. Fleming, Tristen lived here.”

The man dressed in a butler’s uniform next to me was respectfully bowing.
