She Accepted Divorce, He Panicked

"What are you doing here?!" Scar blurts.

She was expecting Silco to come to save her. Maybe even Damian. They are the only two who know her whereabouts. Never did she expect her cold Ex who had all his heart on Ava would come to her rescue when she literally just slapped him and announced her death sentence on that girl he cared about enough to challenge the law.

Maybe he was telling the truth?

"Who the fuck are you?!" The driver demands at Sebastian, visibly more panicking than before.

Looks like he is new to this business.

"Hey, calm down," Scar has to remind him when his hand is shaking, "You don't want to carry a life on your head, do you?"

"Ohh, sorry!" The driver blurts.

Scar: "..."

Is he really an outlaw Jack Fuller hired to rob her?! Did he just apologize to her for putting a knife on her neck?

The driver doesn't answer. Scar turns to his side slightly, just enough to glance at the earbuds he is wearing. He is getting orders from his boss! "Don't move!" The driver snaps at Scar, his tone mean and vicious when he turns to Sebastian, "You! Put down all your weapons and close the door!" Pausing for a second, Sebastian walks in. His hands raised in the air to calm the driver.

"You are just a hired gun, aren't you?" Sebastian says, his voice calm and dominant, "I can double your payment, if you let her go. Isn't this easier money?"

Scar rolls her eyes.

Didn't he think she would try that strategy? If Jack Fuller sent them, then they wouldn't be easily bought. It's Ava's head on the line. They would want that document by any means. "Do you even know how much I'm getting paid?!" The driver shouts at Sebastian, dragging Scar to circle with Sebastian so he is not getting closer to them.

"I'm Sebastian Knight," The man says calmly, stopping by the chair when he is deep into the room, "If that name means something to you, then you know I can deliver my offer."

"I don't care who you are!" The driver shouts frantically, pointing the chair with the knife only to switch it right back at Scar's neck, "Sit! Sit there and don't move! Do as I say or I'll kill you!"

"Hey, hey, hey, relax! I'm not moving!" Sebastian sits down tamely, "Let her go, and whatever you want, I can give you."

"You two, lock the damn door!" The driver shouts at the two men he brought, and they quickly hurry over and lock all of them in.

The warehouse gets even dimmer.

"Can you let her go, please?" Sebastian asks again, hinting at Scar with all his moves slow, "We are not going anywhere. All I'm asking is that she goes free."

"You would wish, don't you?" The driver laughs.

"He came to rescue me, so you know the police is on their way," Scar bluffs, telling the driver, "I don't have the documents you are looking for on me. The best option for you is to leave, now." "Shut up!" The driver presses the knife on her neck, demanding at Sebastian, "I--I'll kill you--"

"I didn't call the police!" Sebastian says in haste, a shade of fear in his voice, "saw her car on the road so I thought she was hurt, that's why I'm here, looking for her. Please, don't hurt her!" en

Scar: "?!"

Even if he didn't call the police, he should play along her lie and scare them, shouldn't he?!

It's at this moment that it occured to Scar--

This whole abduction looks so...sketchy.

It was already weird when the driver didn't look profession from the start. They don't care about money at all, and when it was clear that they are not getting the documents, they still won't retreat. If they followed her out of the auction house for the documents, shouldn't they have made a move before she get home?

Could all this be a show... directed by Sebastian himself?

He kicked down the door because he knew she was in danger, but then he didn't call the police; he came to rescue her, but he doesn't seem to have any weapon nor plan; he said he saw her car on the road, but they just had a big fall out, and he had no reason to come look for her for

another conversation.

Should he?

After all the shitty things he pulled for Ava, Scar realize she could no longer trust this man. This guy who once was the white knight in her eyes, and everyone else's. She just can't trust him anymore.noveldrama

"You--you didn't call the police?" The driver asks hesitantly.

"I didn't, I swear," Sebastian stands up slowly, walking towards them, "I'm worth billions when she is just a nobody. What's there to gain to hurt her? Please--"

"Sure, if you are worth so much, then you can take her place!" The driver laughs, pushing Scar to the side before he throws a kick at Sebastian, "I'll--"

Sebastian catches his leg with lightening speed, twists it with a even fast move before he dashes over to Scar and drags her:

"Run!"
