Winston couldn’t help but glance at Richard. After confirming that Millie was behind the wheel, he asked anxiously, “Isn’t this madness?”

After all, Millie wasn’t an experienced racer. With such a winding route, what if something were to happen

to her?

“Can we stop the race?” Winston asked Richard.

Richard shook his head. “We can’t call it off. Not only that, they’ve also placed bets.”

“Bets? What sort?” Jake asked with curiosity.

So, Richard called out to Matt. After a brief exchange, the latter promptly brought over two documents.

Richard then turned around and passed the document to Winston and Jake, saying, “Here, take a look.”

Winston’s heart skipped a beat as soon as he saw the added clause on the document. Jake, on the other hand, was astonished.

“What the hell? The loser has to cut off a finger?”

At that point, Jake asked with widened eyes, “Seriously, Winston. Is Millie deeply affected by your divorce? This isn’t a race! She’s practically courting death.”

Winston tightened his grip on the documents before handing them back to Richard. Right then, his expression grew more conflicted.

Was Millie contemplating something drastic? But she showed no signs of distress from the moment they signed their divorce application to the end of the meal. In fact, she seemed happy.

“Woah!” Suddenly, someone nearby shouted, “She’s overtaken him! No way!”

“I can’t believe that woman just overtook Quincy on the toughest S–curve!”

The onlookers started exclaiming in disbelief at the unexpected turn of events. The trio immediately

looked down.

At that moment, Millie’s car accelerated, leaving Quincy in the dust. They had missed the spectacular scene just moments earlier.

In no time, Quincy caught up with Millie. But this time, she blocked him from overtaking.

There was a chorus of gasps from the crowd. In the next second, they burst into laughter,

“Well, it looks like this woman is more than just a pretty face. She’s got some skills!”

“Dammit! Quincy can’t lose now. I’ve put my entire life savings on him!”

“Hey! Quincy just pulled ahead!”

Upon hearing those words, everyone focused intently on the track below.

Quincy had overtaken Millie. A larger curve lay ahead, known as the most challenging on this route. It was said that this curve had caused numerous accidents, with many racers flipping over.

After this curve, it was a straight road, and Quincy would surely pick up speed. If Millie failed to handle

For Millie, this curve was the perfect chance to overtake Quincy and gain the lead.

Someone from the crowd commented, “She’s a newbie, isn’t she? If so, she’s probably not going to handle this curve well.”

“I guess there’s no more surprises in this race. Quincy will definitely win.”

“Quincy’s the champion of street racing, after all. How could he possibly lose to a woman?” another chimed in.

At that point, Quincy slowed down as he prepared to navigate the curve. Everyone had confidence in him. They were certain that he would handle it well.

While the spectators awaited Quincy’s maneuver through the curve, Millie’s car unexpectedly accelerated.

“Oh my goodness! This is a major curve. Is she really speeding up?”

Meanwhile, Quincy, who was slowing down, was left dumbfounded. Millie’s car sped past him like a gust of wind, whooshing by in a flash. He stared at her taillights, his eyes reflecting disbelief.

In the next instant, a piercing screech and drift echoed through the quiet mountain. The friction between the tires and pavement ignited fiery sparks.

The crowd stood agape, completely stunned.

Millie forcefully turned the steering wheel. After navigating a curve, she continued to speed up. Suddenly, there was a sharp screech.

The car drifted three times in a row, sending sparks flying. It was so impressive that the onlookers‘ jaws dropped. They were left utterly speechless.

“Holy crap!” Jack was astounded and sought confirmation from Richard again. “A–Are you sure that’s Millie in your car?”
