Sleeping Pills
“Excuse me”
“Excuse me,” Alexander and Amelia said simultaneously and they gazed at each other for a while before nodding at each other.
Amelia got up and walked towards the stairs while Alexander had a confused look on as he headed towards the kitchen.
Meanwhile, in the bedroom shared by Alexander and Amelia, Amelia locked the door quickly and opened the window as she looked outside with the aid of the streetlights that were on.
Their window just happened to be opposite Ash’s new house.
She watched as Resolver carried Ash in and kicked her door open.
After a while, he came out after dropping Ash inside the house.
Amelia’s eyes followed Resolver’s body as he left the compound and walked towards theirs.
As fast as lightning, Amelia brought out her phone as she scrolled through her contacts on WeChat.
It was almost 10 pm already as she hurriedly started to type a message to George.
{Your opportunity is here, go to Ash’s house this minute, she’s currently unconscious}Amelia immediately sent the message.
She paced around the room for a reply but it was as if every second that passed seemed to be years.
This damn George is always so unreliable.
Amelia was about to walk out when her phone dinged.
She quickly checked it out and saw that it was a message from Travis, she rolled her eyes as she tapped into the message and saw that he was active.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
{Hello There}That was the message from Travis.
Amelia quickly sent him a message back {Hello to you too, sorry but kinda busy now}
She wasn’t in for a conversation now, she wanted that dummy to text her back and not him.
Just then, George replied to her {What?? Unconscious?? How??!!}
Amelia immediately felt her forehead as she almost cried, did he even see the rest of the message??
Why couldn’t he change for a while, even if it’s for a second!!!!
{Did you just pick some parts of the message to read??!!}
Amelia was so angry that she texted back in fury.
{uh??} That came the dumb reply and Amelia suddenly regretted having a deal with him.
It was a no-other-choice decision.
Amelia quickly texted back in anxiety, she didn’t know how potent the medicine was so she didn’t know how long Ash could remain asleep!!
{Just go to Ash’s house and take what you need to run the test we made a bet on}
George immediately replied {oh that… On my way}
Amelia let out a sigh of relief that he was finally complying.
But the. Again,{but why’s she unconscious??} George’s message came in after a while.
{sleeping pills} With that reply, Amelia dropped her phone on the bed.
Alexander’s scheme helped her this time, Her plan could have been so impossible.
George at the other end, Gazed at the Text message and sighed again. He felt Amelia was too scheming.
He nevertheless, started the car and zoomed off, fortunately for him, he was on his way to his home when Amelia had texted him about the latest developments.
So he just made a U-turn at where it was safe to and headed towards Eastern land.
They both made a bet, so he had to fulfill it.
At the kitchen, Alexander slowly walked in on the maids who were chatting with Mrs Gale, who was sitting on a stool, monitoring their work.
Mrs Gale smiled when she saw Alexander walk in, She had that motherly love glinting within her eyes.
She had watched Alexander grow so she had always considered him as the child she couldn’t give birth to.
After losing her husband who was once the Gardener at the Ron’s Mansion, She became so immersed in her work when the Rons Couples asked her if she would want a leave from work.
She immediately declined, as taking care of Alexander and Maverick and as well the junior maids, brought her great joy and fulfillment. The work made her so preoccupied to grieve about her loss.
“Ah, Alexander… what are you doing here?? Let’s go out, the air around here is so stuffy” Mrs Gale immediately persuaded Alexander out of the kitchen and he just hummed and walked out with her.
“What do you want child??” Mrs Gale said as she put on an elderly woman’s look, eyes filled with great wisdom.
“I wanted to talk to you about something!” Alexander said calmly as they both stood close to the dining table area.
Mrs Gale nodded at him to talk and he cleared his throat before saying:
“Umm-about earlier when I told you to umm-Put zolpidem in Ash’s Meal so she could fall asleep..” Alexander started as he said calmly.
Mrs. Gale suddenly said, “Umm, I couldn’t inform you earlier since you were with Madam and Mrs Moon..”
Alexander wrinkled his brows “About what??”
“You had instructed I use zolpidem which we usually add to the panther dog’s meal so he can fall asleep easily but at the last moment after you left, We found out that zolpidem is no longer available as it has been used up,” Mrs Gale said and Alexander was suddenly confused.
If they didn’t use zolpidem, which Sleeping pill did they use that made Ash fall asleep??
Seeing his puzzled face, Mrs Gale cleared her throat and replied again “So we add benzodiazepines instead which the guards usually use!”
Alexander’s eyes immediately shrieked “You used benzodiazepines??”
Mrs. Gale was a bit startled by his expression, there was nothing wrong with the drug, it wasn’t a poison.
It was just that, benzodiazepines were more potent than Zolpidem.
Alexander was lost in his thoughts but he nevertheless asked Mrs Gale to return to her duty post.
Alexander dragged a chair from the Dining and sat.
No wonder Ash fell unconscious too soon.
He knew that Sleeping pills increase the risk of cardiovascular events in heart failure patients by 8-fold. So he had told Mrs Gale to use zolpidem which showed a decreased risk (29%) of developing or dying from heart disease, but she just happened to use benzodiazepines that were related to an increased risk (80%) of mortality from heart disease.
Ash said she was suffering from terminal heart disease, and she had consumed Benzodiazepines which could make her illness flare up but it didn’t, instead, it made her sleep just like it should normally do.
Which only means one thing…..
