Spoiled By The Mighty After Dumping The Fuckboy

Chapter 88 Linda’s Help

In the underground garage of the Byran Group.

After the driver stopped the car, Jamie ordered, “Tell Mrs. Old Byran that the boss has an important dinner party tonight and has to go. Please be tactful and don’t make Mrs. Old Byran angry.”

The driver understood. “I understand.”

As soon as Iverson returned to the office, he called the marketing department for a meeting.

“I wonder if he is a robot. He hasn’t stopped attending all kinds of business meetings for half a month. He didn’t take a break when he came back today. Now there’s a meeting again.”

Next to the printer, Tina was binding up the conference materials while complaining in a low voice.

Linda said calmly, “That’s why Mr. Byran is the boss. No one else can do it.”

“I don’t think so. Don’t you think the boss has been acting weird recently? I haven’t seen Miss Jewell for a long time. Linda, do you have any internal news?”

“Don’t gossip. Get to work. Hurry up and send printed information to the conference room.”

Tina pursed her lips to the side. “Got it. Send these over first.”

“Okay.”

Linda went out with printed documents in her arms and ran into Jamie.

“Linda, is this for the meeting?”

“Yes.”

“Give it to me,” Jamie took the documents and said, “There is something wrong with the data in the Marketing department. The boss is holding us accountable. Let’s wait outside for a while before we go in.”

“Mr. Byran seems to be losing his temper lately.”

“I know! What’s wrong? Have you also noticed something?”

“The renovation project in the old city should be coming to an end. If there are no accidents, can we inform Safe Home Real Estate directly?”

Jamie’s eyes lit up. “Linda, the gossipiest person here isn’t Tina.”

Linda’s expression remained unchanged. “You’re well-informed and know how to read people’s minds. As secretaries, it’s our duty to help our boss.”

“But…” Linda paused. “I personally suggest that we give the project to Safe Home Real Estate, but don’t be in such a hurry. It’s best if we leak the news to the other companies.”

“What sort of logic is that?”

“It’s for the boss’s good.”

Early in the morning, Amanda had just finished the morning meeting at the company.

In the office, Joleen was discussing some business matters with Amanda regarding her business plan.

“The bidding results should be coming out in two days. Our chances of winning are still very high.”

“Not necessarily. The opponent is also very strong.”

Joleen reminded, “The Sean Group also quoted a price, the price there is very low.”

“There’s no need to continue the bidding war at a time like this. People in the industry know the consequences of malicious competition. A listed company like the Byran Group won’t take such a big risk with the Sean Group just to save some money.”

“It used to be like this, but I don’t think so now.”

“What do you mean?” Amanda raised her head in confusion.

“Anne just delivered supplies to the Byran Group and called me to tell me that they didn’t treat her well. She also saw Olinka enter the Byran Group. They were talking to her.”

Joleen straightened her back. “You’ve offended their president, so why do you expect them to give us the project? Who can be absolutely fair and just? Mr. Byran cares about his reputation too!”

“Did they talk to Olinka?”

“Anne saw it with her own eyes, how could it be fake?”

Amanda frowned slightly, picked up her bag, and walked out.

“Hey, where are you going?”

“To find Iverson Byran.”

Joleen helplessly shook her head, “I’ll take you there.”

As the saying goes, it’s easy to enjoy the coolness while leaning against a big tree. But Amanda didn’t want to rely on Iverson but insisted on doing everything herself.

The Byran Group.

“Didn’t you make an appointment in advance? Mr. Willson of the marketing department is not in the company today.”

The receptionist stopped Amanda in the lobby with one sentence.

Joleen replied, “Obviously not wanting to see us.”

Amanda frowned. “The result hasn’t come out yet. We can’t rush to come to a conclusion.”

“Anne has come here three times, and she doesn’t get to see anyone every time. Do you still want to wait for the results?”

Joleen urged, “I think you should go look for Iverson directly.”

“No.”

“Why are you being so dramatic? There’s a shortcut, but you won’t take it. Just lower your head to Iverson Byran and you’ll get the project, won’t you?”

“That’s another matter. I don’t want the project to have anything to do with a personal relationship, and I’ve already made it clear to him. Forget it, let’s just leave it to fate. If we really can’t get this project, there’s nothing we can do.”

Joleen helplessly asked, “Then shall we head back now?”

Just as they were about to leave, they ran into Iverson’s assistant, Linda.

“Miss Jewell.”

Amanda was surprised. “Linda, I haven’t seen you for a long time.”

“Are you here to see the president?”

“No,” Amanda immediately denied. “I’m here to talk to Mr. Willson, but unfortunately, he isn’t here.”

“Why didn’t you call me in advance?”

“I passed by here.”

Linda remained unfazed. “I see. Oh, right, I’ll give you the invitation.”

“Invitation letter?”

“On Friday night, the Group’s appreciation banquet.”

Amanda was speechless.C0pyright © 2024 Nôv)(elDrama.Org.

In the car, Amanda flipped through the invitation card.

Joleen said as she drove, “Don’t you think it’s weird? Who would bring an invitation with them? It seems like Linda came specifically for you.”

“It was just a coincidence, wasn’t it? She couldn’t have known beforehand that I was going to the Byran Group.”

“What are you going to do? Are you going to the banquet?”

“Of course I have to go. Mr. Willson should be there at the Group’s appreciation banquet. You can ask him about the bidding and see if he can get some information.”

“Then let me remind you. Iverson must be there. What if he runs into you?”

“There are so many people, and we may not meet them.”

Amanda touched the invitation card and clenched her fists tightly.

Meanwhile, in the office of the Byran Group…

Linda knocked on the door. “Miss Jewell is gone.”

“Okay,” Iverson said without looking up.

To the side, Jamie gave a look at Linda and thought to himself, “Why did she bring this up?”

“Have you decided who will be your date for this Friday’s appreciation banquet?”

Only then did Iverson look up. “You have plans?”

Usually, Linda would accompany him to banquets.

“I am on vacation on Friday. Tina has caught a cold these past two days.”

Iverson frowned slightly. “Got it.”

“Then I’ll go out first.”

“Okay.” Iverson suddenly called out to her. “Wait.”

“Is there anything else, Mr. Byran?”

“Didn’t she say anything?”

Linda shook her head.

Iverson waved his hand, indicating for her to leave. A trace of impatience appeared on his cold face.

She had been so calm and composed for more than half a month and had not contacted him at all.

To the side, Jamie checked out his boss’s expression and said carefully, “Linda doesn’t have time to accompany you. Would you like to consider Miss Ginos?”

Iverson raised his head slightly, his gaze was cold and sharp.

Jamie’s heart sank as he shut his mouth.

Unexpectedly, after the air had frozen for a moment, Iverson suddenly said, “Let her do it.”
