Stolen Virtue

Chapter 8: After party

This is where everything changed, I should have just gone home like I wanted too. If I had, maybe, just maybe things would have turned out differently for me.

“Ohmygod, Jewels I never knew you could have danced like that. I knew you could sing, but dancing… Wow.” Jenny was going on and on about how good I was and that I’ll have to teach her. How Dennis would just love to see her move like that.

Wait, whoa. Hold up a freaking minute. Dennis!? Who the hell is Dennis!?

“Who the hell is Dennis!?” I voice what I was thinking.

Jenny’s eyes went wide with guilt. “Dennis? Did I say, Dennis? I meant Denise.” She tried to backpedal. When she saw that I wasn’t buying it she caved.

“Oh alright, Dennis is my boyfriend, and before you ask. I didn’t tell you about him because I knew you’d freak out.”

Darned right I will freak out. What the hell is she thinking, having a boyfriend at 15?

“Jenny you’re only 15, you needn’t bother with a boyfriend, you’re just way too young.”Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Jenny rolled her eyes, “Mom doesn’t think so, and she actually likes Dennis.”

I gasped, “Mom knows about this, and she’s still letting you have a boyfriend.” Jenny grinned triumphantly. “Yep, Mom’s cool that way.”

I threw my hands up frustrated, “Unbelievable, am I the only grown-up in this family?”

I set about walking away, rushing to get my bags. All I desired to do was go home and have a nice long soak. Ahh, paradise. In any case first things first, I needed to get the hell out of my shoes. My feet were absolutely killing me. Jenny ran up to catch me.

“Uh, where are you going?”

I replied without stopping, “Getting my bag and bouncing.” She grabbed on my arm to get my attention.

“What!?” I asked a little bit annoyed.

“Are you gonna act like that kiss never happened?”

Hell yeah. That’s precisely what I wanted to do. Actually no, I wanted to wipe it from everyone’s mind. What was Clyde thinking? Scratch that. What was I think kissing him back like that? No doubt, the sooner everyone forgets about that mind-blowing kiss, the sooner my life can get back to being boring. I miss boring.

I turned fully to face my sister, putting on my best-irritated look. “Yes, that’s exactly what I’m gonna do, on the grounds that it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. So just drop it,”

she carried on talking as if she didn’t hear me. “Well, it happened, and it was hot. Sizzling actually. So who is he? I tried asking Dillon, however, he just stormed out like hell was after him.”

I groaned. Ohmygod Dillon. I figured I’m gonna have to tell him it can never be that way between us.

“That’s because he’s madly in love with Juliet, and her doing the tongue dance with Clyde was just too much for his poor, poor heart.” Sanity chimed in. Coming to great us. Jenny looked about ready to burst with excitement.

“OMG! You’ve got two guys fighting over you. Why don’t I know about this?”

I glared at Sanity, “That’s because I don’t. Look can we just… not talk about this right now?” Jenny did not want to give in, however, one look at my face and she complied. “Fine, but later I want details.” Yeah like that’s gonna happen.

“So, are you guys going to the after-party at Clyde’s house?”

“No,” I said the same time as Jenny said, “Sure.”

I looked at her sternly, “No we are not. We are going to go home, right Jenny?”

She looked at me like I’ve lost my mind, “Uh, so not right. I’m gonna go to the party, you can go home if you want to. Dennis will drop me home after.”

She walked away leaving me to pursue her.

“Jenny Judith Daniels, get your skinny butt back here right this instance!” I yelled after her, but she was already out the doors and hopping into a red mustang. I stood and watch the car drove away.

“I’m gonna kill her.”

Sanity came to stand next to me, “Well, I guess that means we’re going to the party after all.” I glared at her, then storm back inside to get my bag and follow my dumbass sister. No way was I leaving her with a bunch of drunk horny teenagers.

We drove up to Clyde’s house, which was gated. However, the gates were opened. I guessed they opened it for the party.

As I drove in I could see the brilliant polished white rock mansion looming over everything, standing magnificently tall. Over to the right of the entrance was a stunning marble fountain. A mermaid pouring water out of a golden jug, onto a step of lily pads. Hedge bushes trimmed in unique shapes creating a maze, just beyond the fountain. On the left was a driveway leading to the back of the house.

We drove on and came up to a miniature version of the mansion. There was a massive car park filled with cars of other students from school. I parked the car and we got out. I notice that there was another house that sat directly behind the mansion with a very large pool. However, the house that the noise was coming from was the mini-mansion. Which I then noticed was situated more to the side than the back. This likewise had a pool in front of it, fill with people.

I grabbed Sanity and we made our way into the house. A few of the student greeted me, offering up congratulation on an awesome performance. I thanked them and went in search of my sister.

“Stay close to me San, we can’t afford to lose each other in this jungle. We need to find Jenny and get the hell out of here.”

“Sure thing, Grinch.” Sanity yelled over the music. I turned to look at her.

“What?”

She rolled her eyes, “Let’s have some fun, then we can find your sister and get going.” I provided her with a look that said, I didn’t think it was possible to have fun with so many sweaty, drunk bodies.

She tugged her hand away from me and started dancing, “Come on, loosen up a bit. You never know you might like it.”

I shook my head, told her to be careful and not to drink any alcohol. I set off in search of my wayward little sister. I came across a few of her friends and inquired as to whether they saw her. They all said no, so I moved on, continuing my search. After about 30 minutes of nothing, I gave up.

I was just about to go get Sanity so we could clear out. When I bumped into Clyde, who was walking away from Amy.

“Oh, sorry, my fault, I wasn’t watching where I was going.” I apologised, steadying myself.

He looked at me and smiled, swaying a little on his feet, “Any chance of me getting to see you without that top on.”

I was a bit taken aback, however, I let it go, in light of the fact that he was wasted. “Only if it’s in your dreams.” I countered.

He smiled wickedly at me, “believe me, sweetheart, in my dreams, it’s not just the top that’s off.”

Before I could reply, he started swaying again. I took him by his arms and lead him into the kitchen. There were empty beer bottle and red cups all over the place. I helped him to sit and went to the fridge. Pulling it open, all I saw was beers, can of sodas and more beers. I turned once more to Clyde.

“Where do you keep the bottled water?” Clyde looked at me like I’ve never been to a party before. Which I haven’t.

“Nobody wants water at a party, it doesn’t quite hit the spot,” he chuckled. Well, I guess that means there’s no way to sober him up.

“However if you really need it, I’ve got a smaller fridge down in the basement. I’ll go get you one from there.”

He began to get up, swaying on his feet. I quickly went to him, helping him to balance. “Where do you think you’re going?” I asked, really irritated with him for being stupid enough to get drunk.

“To get you water,” he slurred. That’s weird. It appears as though he’s gotten drunker, in the minutes he was with me.

I cursed myself for being a nice person. “Come on, I’ll help you get it. You need it more than I do at any rate. Seems to me that whatever you drank is still working its magic on you.”

He slurred again. “Didn’t drink anything strong, just one beer.” He led the way to the basement through a door in the kitchen. “Yeah well, if you can’t hold your liquor, you ought to not drink.”

We turned on the light and went down the steps gradually, being mindful as to not trip and fall. When we got to the bottom, I gawked at the setting. This was no ordinary basement. This was a basement bedroom. A massive bed sat in the middle, of the pale white room. Fine art decorated the walls. Entertainment system and a chilling out area to one side. A huge walk-in shower, with transparent glass, sat directly before the bed. A walk-in closet in another corner. It was really nice, and someplace I shouldn’t be.

I was just about to tell Clyde I was leaving, when I saw him opened the door to a room. Looking carefully, I saw that it was not a room but a fridge. He was just standing there staring into the fridge. I crossed over to him.

“Is something wrong?” I asked concern. He shook his head. “Huh, that’s odd, I could have sworn, I filled this fridge with water yesterday.” I came to stand beside him, “perhaps you thought you did.” he looked at the fridge again, before taking out the last two bottled water and handed me one, “Yes perhaps.”

He sat on the end of the bed and twist the cap off his bottle and took a long swig. I started to feel uncomfortable, being alone with him anywhere near a bed. He motioned for me to sit, and I looked back at the steps then back at him. He chuckled.

“I’m not going to jump you, Juliet. Let’s just sit and talk for a while, then we can go back up, where we will be seen by everyone.”

I was a bit hesitant at first, but I trusted Clyde. I sat on the bed a little away from him. Having nothing to do or say, I opened my bottle and gulped it all down in one go.

Clyde looked at me smiling, “That thirsty, huh?”

“Sorry,” I said, “I’m just nervous.”

He laughed again, “Yeah, I gather that from the way you’re shaking.”

He stood, “Look, if this makes you uncomfortable, let go back up st… whoa.” he put his hands to his head. I blinked a few time when I saw two of him. I got up to help him and started to sway myself. I fell against him and he caught me.

“Hey, Juliet are you alright?” My head was started to feel heavy and vision was all over the place.

“I’m not certain, I feel woozy and funny.”

Clyde let go of me long enough to grab his half-empty bottle and sniffed it. He cursed a few times and held my arms. He could scarcely stay on his feet himself, yet he tried to get me to move to the stairs. I stumbled and fell on the bed.

Clyde was pulling on my hand, attempting to get me to move. “Juliet, listen to me. We’ve been drugged. We need to get up those stairs and get help, ok?”

I was so out of it. I could hear Clyde’s voice however it was far away as if at the end of a tunnel. He kept saying something about, being drugged and needing help. I tried to listen harder. When it finally hit me it was too late.

I saw the person coming out of the shadows. I couldn’t make them out, but I could see that they were tall. I attempted to caution Clyde to watch out. However, I couldn’t get my mouth to structure the words. The person pushed something into Clyde’s neck and he fell onto the bed.

I lay there staring at Clyde then at the stranger who was removing Clyde’s clothes. I was so terrified and apprehensive inside, however, I couldn’t appear to move or even talk. At the point when the guy completed the process of stripping Clyde, he arranged him appropriately in the bed.

The stranger approached and began to draw off my leggings. With whatever bit of strength I had left, I utilized it to kick him, which got him in the arm. He grunted, however, proceeded. When my leggings and my panties were off, he removed my top and my bra. Inside I was going insane, recalling what happened to my sister. I wanted to scream, shout and cry, however, I could scarcely keep my eyes open.

When he completed the process of undressing me, he merely remains there gazing at me. I’ve never felt so dirty in my life before, I wanted to scrub my skin till it bleeds.

He murmured, “Sa oled nii kaunis.”

Everything within me told me, I had to remember those words. I shut my eyes with those words carved into my brain. I felt him move me under the cover with Clyde and felt the sharp pick at the back of my neck. My last thought before everything went black was ‘I should never have come to this stupid after-party.’
