Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1036

She lay in bed without moving a muscle, while Chad busied himself around the room. First, he made sure the faucet was tightly closed, then he pulled the curtains so not even a sliver of light could sneak in. After that, he headed downstairs to get her a glass of water. Despite Chad's efforts, Molly was still wide awake and full of energy. Feeling a bit exasperated, Chad decided to try a new tactic to help the lady of the house wind down. Soon, the soft hum of chanting filled the bedroom.

Molly was at a loss for words. She knew Chad was trying to lull her to sleep earlier than usual, but she hadn't expected him to break out the chanting.

"Chad, do you think if I listen to this religious stuff now, our future kid might end up becoming a monk? They say prenatal education is really key." Quick on his feet, Chad switched the tunes to nursery rhymes!

But wouldn't you know it, instead of drifting off, the person snuggled in his arms started humming along. "Let's row our little boat, pushing through the waves..." "Little bugs fly, little bugs fly, who are you missing..." "The evening breeze gently brushes Penghu Bay, waves chasing the shore, wait, hey, where'd the music go?"

Caught up in her singing, Jade suddenly noticed the music had stopped. Curious, she asked, "Chad, could you check if your phone's out of juice?"

Chad lay back, took a deep breath, and then played a philosophical classic on his phone, "Existence' is the most universal change. Whatever one grasps about being in existence, this grasp already includes some understanding of existence. But the universality of 'existence' isn't the universality of a category. If existence..."

The person in his arms quieted down. Molly blinked a few times, and after listening intently for a few seconds, she looked up and said, "Chad, why can I hear each word clearly, but when they're all together, it sounds like gobbledegook?"noveldrama

A sly smile appeared on Chad's face. "Just listen a bit longer, and you'll get it."

So she did, and ten minutes later, Jade was lulled to sleep by the philosophical musings.

Chad looked down at the peaceful face in his arms, finally letting out a sigh of relief. A quick glance at the clock told him it was already ten.

She'd kept him on his toes for a whole hour.

The next morning, at the crack of dawn, while Molly was still lost in dreamland, Chad's mischievous hand reached out to wake her.

A loud shout echoed from upstairs, "Chad!!"

Downstairs, Colleen glanced up with a practiced nonchalance, used to the ruckus, and continued with her tasks.

Andre had returned home.

When Connor found Annie missing the next day, he tended to his bruised face himself, bid farewell to his buddies, and drove over to the Martin family to whisk Annie away, insisting on tending to his injuries with her help. "I can't let this beating be for nothing. If I don't heal, you're stuck with me." Content Belongs to

"I have to report to the base on the tenth."

Connor replied, "Then I'll go with you."

Cooper spent a few delightful days with his little nephew. Despite a week of trying, little Henry still hadn't got the hang of saying "uncle." Cooper, holding his nephew's tiny head, mused, "That's not right, don't take after your mom on this one, okay?"

Mia gave her brother a playful smack, and Henry laughed heartily, adding a couple of playful punches and a few slobbery kisses for good measure.

In the end, just before Cooper boarded his flight, he tried one last time, "Come on, give me a nice 'uncle."

Henry's little lips puckered, "Mmm mmm."

He didn't manage to say it, but he

hugged his uncle tight for a long et

while. Watching his uncle disappear, Henry had a good cry, not ready to say goodbye.

Cooper headed back to school, and Andre, along with his wife and child, returned to Maplewood Estates.
