"My fam's been all peace and quiet. My daughter-in-law might have gotten into some scraps, but she

never raised a hand to us." Hansen said.

Naomi felt guilty, and Mia comforted her sister-in-law by saying, "Naomi, it's actually my fault for not

listening to you and heading to the loo. I sneaked off to the banquet hall when you weren't around."

Naomi grabbed Mia's hand and said, "Mia, I will never leave you in the lurch ever again."

Mia quickly hugged Naomi and patted her back.

After comforting Naomi, Mia rushed off to find her parents. She said, "Dad, let me check your back."

Knowing about his father-in-law's condition, Andre said, "I'll accompany you to the restroom to check.

Mia and mom will wait outside."

Mia nodded and pushed her father to follow her husband to the men's restroom.

Outside, Madison asked her daughter, "Do you have any issues with the Marshal family?"

such a banquet, it wouldn't be appropriate for her to leave midway. So she stood at the door, shivering

Andre let her go and followed her to the buffet area.

Mia started eating the bread she had picked up, taking a bite, "The matcha flavor isn't good, honey, you

try it."

She tried the cookies next, "Too greasy, honey, you try."

She saw the cream puffs and reached out to grab one.

She took a bite, chewed on it, "Hmm, this is really good. I'll grab a few more for Naomi and Hansen."

When she was enjoying good food, she completely forgot her husband. Andre felt a bit left out on the

side, but he comforted himself that Mia still loved him. She just knew he didn't like cream puffs.

Mia was about to give the cream puff to Naomi. Suddenly, she noticed that Naomi's gaze was fixed in a

"Are you full yet?" He asked.

Mia licked her lips, "Honey, I've only eaten sweet stuff, didn't have anything savoury. I feel like having

something savoury for a change now."

Andre put the plate in her hand aside, and took her to the other side.

"Hold on!" Mia stopped her husband. She looked in Naomi's direction, "That's Naomi, right?"

Andre took a glance, he knew about the family affairs, and responded, "Don't worry about it, I'll take

you to get some yummy food."

Mia was itching to do something when she saw Naomi being bullied. Holy moly, someone was actually

picking on Naomi! She might not have shown her true colors to everyone just yet.

Just as she was about to step in, Andre also noticed Naomi being slapped mercilessly by a middle-

aged man. Without a word, he grabbed his wife's wrist and steered her to a corner, away from the

crowd.

Mia saw Naomi getting hit. She was all set to jump in, her fists clenched tight. But before she could

make a move, her husband had her in a tight hold around her waist.

"Let go of me, I'm gonna stop them. I need to stand up for Naomi. Please, let go of me, I'm going to

punch that guy." Mia struggled ferociously in her husband's arms.
