Chapter 266
Chapter 266
Andre looked down at the compliant Mia in his arms, always managing to surprise him by turning things
in his favor.
It seemed like fate. His previous anger gradually dissipated.
Mia, being very good at reading people’s mind, could sense her husband’s improved mood and
snuggled against him, “Andre, have I made up for my mistake? Please don’t be mad anymore.”
Andre didn't respond but simply told her, “Next time you decide to throw down, let me know first.”
“Why?” Mia asked, looking up at him curiously from his arms.
Andre: “So I can back you up.”
Mia burst into laughter, “Deal!”
Mia had managed to dodge a bullet. She could tell her husband was back to treating her like his
precious gem. So she decided to bring up a question that had been on her mind for a while, “Honey,
you’ve been wanting to get back for Naomi for a while now, haven't you?”
Even just thinking about Naomi made Andre grimace. “She’s weak and useless. She’s been bullied for
over a decade and she still lets it happen. Her soft heart is her downfall. As expected, no one
compares to my wife.”
Mia wasn't sure whether Andre was praising her or criticizing her. Based on her two fights, it seemed
that Andre wasn't angry about the people she fought, but rather he was upset that she got into fights
and put herself at risk. He was worried about her getting hurt.
Mia deduced that her husband probably had long wanted to teach Ellory and Kyle a lesson. But since
Naomi never complained to the Cedillo family, he didn't think it appropriate to interfere in the Mastin
family’s affairs. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
But she was different, she would fight back. If the Mastin family dared to bully her, Andre would
definitely step in.
Little did Ellory and Kyle know, they were so pathetic they couldn't even beat a girl, and got put in their
place by her.
Andre told his wife, “Mia, you need to be decisive in your actions and leave no loose ends. Reputation
is for others to see, not to create trouble for ourselves, got it?”
Mia nodded, she was starting to feel like Andre’s pet kitten. “Don’t worry, honey, I’m no saint.”
Andre also added a condition, “You can fight, but you have to win. And you can't get hurt.”
Mia nodded again. “Rest assured, honey, so far I haven’t met my match.”
Andre believed his wife was a formidable foe, but he also felt she was a bit overconfident.
“There are many masters in this world.”
Mia: “I get it, why are you lecturing me like an old man? You’re my husband, just pamper me and don’t
preach, it goes in one ear and out the other.”
Andre was left speechless by Mia’s teasing. Having just pacified her husband, Mia didn't dare to mess
up again.
She finished her glass of water and absentmindedly admired the surroundings. This was her second
time at Maplewood Estates, but her first time actually going in.
She looked around the room. The decor was to her liking. Moreover, she had this strange feeling that
this would be her future home. Even though she hadn't given much thought to what her future home
would look like, the image filled her mind the moment she saw this house.
Andre saw his wife appreciating the house and a satisfied smile crept up his face. He got up, took Mia’s
hand, and gave her a more direct tour of the house layout.
The first room they went to was the master bedroom, which was very spacious and had double doors.
Mia fell in love with it the moment she saw the bedroom door. Once inside, she left her husband and
excitedly ran around the huge master bedroom. "Honey, you sure know how to live in style."
Seeing the joy in her eyes, Andre couldn't help but smile.
Mia sat on the edge of the bed, lay down to test the comfort, got up and went to the walk-in closet, then
to the window sill. She was like a never-ending cleaning machine, inspecting every room one by one.
She didn't need Andre to guide her anymore and ran around the house on her own.
Andre ended up waiting for her in the upstairs living room.
"Honey, you have a private cinema."
"Honey, you have so much wine in your basement, I..."
"You are not allowed to drink." Andre rushed to the basement, put the bottle of wine back on the shelf,
led Mia out of the wine room, and told her, "You can roam around the first floor and above, but you are
not allowed to go to the two floors below."
Mia opened her mouth slightly, sneaking another glance at the basement. "Alright..."
Andre chose to ignore the look of interest in her eyes.
Later, he took her to the outdoor lawn and let her play in the pool.
Mia played at Maplewood Estates for the entire afternoon, and returned to the Cedillo family with her
husband for dinner. The moment they walked in, Hansen saw Andre and immediately hid away.
Andre glanced at his father's retreating figure; he knew his father was afraid he would come and
question him.
Hansen stealthily asked his daughter on the phone: "Molly, why haven't you come back?"
At that moment, Molly was at the Byrne family's dinner table, eating while checking her phone. Chad
cleared his throat and she quickly put her phone down. But she still replied to her father’s message:
"You are on your own now. I’m back at the Byrne family."
Hansen secretly chatted with his daughter-in-law. "Weren't you supposed to come back after the job
was done? If you weren't discovered by Andre, why did you come back with him?"
Mia replied: "Hansen, just accept the scolding like a good boy. All three of us messed up today and got
caught. Molly was taken away by Chad for a lecture, Bruce and Naomi took Leo away, and I've already
been scolded by Andre. It’s your turn now."
Hansen was speechless. In his bedroom, he looked at Mia's chat history on his phone and fumed, "I
knew you three were unreliable. I shouldn't have joined you guys last night."
The original plan was to leave in the morning and return home in the afternoon. Settling the person
down, and ensuring that the guardians at home wouldn't find out.
Hansen waited at home, ready to immediately call the three of them and inform them if Andre were to
return suddenly. But it turned out that all three of them were caught before noon.
Now the situations with Leo and Molly were still unknown.
At the Byrne's, Mr. Kendrick asked his daughter, "You've only been gone a few days, why are you back
so soon?"
Molly replied, "My brother took me back for punishment."
Mr. Kendrick and Coleen were puzzled, turning to look at their son.
Picking up his cutlery, Chad said, "We're not discussing this at the dinner table. We can talk about it
after we eat."
With that, the family of four started their meal.
After dinner, as Molly was about to head off to sleep, Coleen called out softly from the living room,
"Come here, clarify what happened today before you go."
Chad was wiping the table and Mr. Kendrick was placing the dishes in the dishwasher. Soon the father
and son also arrived in the living room, looking at Molly who was hanging her head.
"I, I got into a fight today."
Upon hearing her words, both Mr. & Mrs. Byrne were stunned.
Molly got into a fight today?
Chad added, "Not just her, she had two accomplices."
