Chapter 294
Chapter 294
Why should she personally go out to meet the butler from the Cedillo family who came over to deliver
food?
If there were a lot of food to be delivered, the butler would arrange for his assistant to come along, All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
instead of having to call her to come down to receive them. The butler had been with the Cedillo family
for decades, and he would never do anything like that.
So when Naomi told Mia to go get the butler, Mia was somewhat puzzled. However, she quickly
understood Naomi's intention - she didn't want Mia to stay in the room.
Later, she saw the butler alone, holding the food box, so clearly he didn't need her to receive him. Mia
confirmed her suspicions and told the butler to just pretend she hadn't shown up.
Both Naomi and Hansen were relieved.
Shortly after Finley left, Naomi quickly called Mia to come upstairs because it was cold outside. Mia,
who was about to go back, bumped into Finley who was about to leave.
Finley wanted to get to know the girl a bit, but she was called away by the Cedillo family's people. "Mia,
didn't you see the butler go upstairs with lunch just now?"
Mia nodded and lied, "I didn't see him."
It was customary for the family of a patient to see off a visitor after the visit. Since Naomi didn't come
down, Mia had to walk him to his car. When she reached the parking lot, Mia found out that Finley
didn't come alone. He had a driver. In this day and age, anyone with a bit of status had a driver, so Mia
didn't think much of it.
However, when the driver got out of the car to open the door for Finley, Mia took a few extra looks at
him.
Finley chatted with her, "Mia, you should go back. I need to head home too. Take good care of your
father at the hospital. If I have an appointment with your father next time, come along."
"Huh? Yeah, sure." Mia had been staring at the driver, so she was a bit distracted.
She watched Finley get in the car, and then looked at the driver again.
Finley was observant, he noticed Mia's distraction, so he too looked at his driver. "Mia, do you know
him?"
Mia shook her head awkwardly, "No."
Finley waited for Mia to explain, but she always left him hanging. Normally, people would explain why
after they answered a question. But Mia's answers were always concise. If you didn't ask "why", she
won't explain.
So Finley asked again, "Then why were you looking at him?"
The driver also turned to look at Mia. Yeah, why would a little girl stare at him?
Mia looked away, "I thought all the drivers for Mr. Finley would be young guys. Didn't expect him to be
middle-aged."
Finley burst out laughing, "That's it. There aren't many young people willing to drive for us nowadays."
Just then, Mia's phone rang again. She saw the caller ID, "Naomi's calling me."
Finley rolled up the car window, letting the driver drive out of the hospital.
"Boss, who is she?" The driver was a middle-aged man in his forties. One glance was enough to tell
that he wasn't an ordinary driver, his gazes were fierce and his muscles were more developed than the
average person.
"Andre's wife, Mia." Finley also stopped pretending to nice, he put away his smile, looked out the
window and said seriously.
"So Brian got screwed over by her. Did she notice anything about me just now?"
Finley shook his head, "She's just an ordinary girl, just a bit blunt. She wouldn't know about your
identity."
Just now, in the ward, Naomi and Hansen probably sent her away because they thought she was
young and didn't want her to know about the complexities of business and politics. Even the people of
the Cedillo family treated her like a child, what could she know?
Last time, when she dealt with Brian, she was probably too arrogant, overly reliant on Andre's love for
her, hence her brash behavior. He had just now interacted with this girl, and he didn't feel that she was
scheming at all.
"It's interesting that Andre would marry a woman like this."
The driver was also puzzled, "Is it because of her looks?"
But there were so many beautiful people, why did he marry her? Jillian was also pretty when dressed
up, she and Andre had known each other for fifteen years, but in the end, she still lost.
Finley said, "What I want to know more about now is Molly's situation, who saved her back then."
As the car drove away, Mia stood in the lobby of the hospital, not going upstairs for a long time. That
man just now, she felt very familiar. She was sure she'd seen that driver before. But she couldn't
remember where.
Naomi's third call came in, and Mia turned around and hurried upstairs.
Entering the ward, Hansen complained, "If you don't come back, I'll eat all the meat that's been left for
you."
Although he said that, he still purposefully gave Mia the meat from his plate.
"Who was that person just now?" Mia sat between them, ready to eat while asking curiously.
Hansen clearly didn't want to say too much to his daughter-in-law, and he reminded her seriously, "Mia,
try to keep your distance when you see him in the future; we're on different paths."
Mia blinked, filled with confusion.
In the afternoon, Andre came to the hospital to visit his father and took his always restless cute wife
home. Bruce also came to the hospital directly after work.
Before long, Leo drove Molly over. When Molly heard her father wanted to eat something good, she
and Leo went to the snack street before coming to the hospital. When they arrived at the hospital, she
was carrying all sorts of snacks from the snack street.
Hansen was over the moon.
When both his sons wouldn't let Hansen eat, Hansen got so angry that he had a big argument with
them and ended up chasing them all away. Only Leo and his daughter were left in the ward.
After chasing them all away, Hansen started eating.
"Mia told me you wanted to try Eggs Benedict, so I brought you a portion. There's also barbecue, fish
and chips, fried chicken drumsticks…"
Hansen started eating, "Delicious, delicious. Molly, when I get discharged, I'll go with you to the snack
street and we'll eat from one end to the other."
Leo chimed in from the side, "There's no place for your cane with so many people."
Hansen gave his grandson a gentle kick with his one and only leg.
Mia was brought home, she grabbed her pajamas and was about to hop in the shower, with Andre
following her in.
"Babe, I'm about to take a shower, could you step out for a sec?" Mia looked up at his handsome face,
her voice soft and sweet.
As Andre started unbuttoning his shirt, he said, "Shouldn't we talk about how you snuck out of the
house today?"
Mia reached out and re-buttoned the shirt button Andre had just unfastened. She pouted adorably, "I
already told you on WhatsApp, you can't blame me for this."
With one hand holding her little one, Andre used his other hand to unbuckle his belt and asked, "So
when are you moving in with me?"
