Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 352

Chapter 352

She handed her phone to Chad, remarking, “Let me be the youngest and prettiest friend in your social

media circle.”

Looking at Chad's contacts, Molly felt like her brother must have been at least 40! Yet, upon glancing at

Chad's handsome face, she uttered, “So confusing.”

“Huh?”

Molly shook her head, “Ah, never mind.”

In the afternoon, Coleen and Kendrick returned home early, both excited by the return of their children.

“Mom, Dad, did you rush home to welcome me?” Molly teased.

Coleen laughed, “I came home early because of my son, not you. I asked you to join me for a hike, but

you refused.”

“I was too busy trying to earn a scholarship.”

Coleen gave her daughter a knowing look, “Sure, which professor would choose you?”

Kendrick interjected, “Don't discourage her. It's great that she has such ambitions. We shouldn't crush

her spirit if she doesn't succeed.”

Molly was slightly upset. The three of them didn't believe in her. “You'll see, I'll definitely get the

scholarship,” she declared.

Chad comforted his sister with a smile, “I believe in you.”

“You are the only one who truly loves me.”

Coleen, sitting on the couch, asked her daughter, “Where are you staying this summer?”

“I'll stay at home and bug you every day.” Molly cheekily sat next to Coleen, hugging her arm.

Coleen couldn't help but smile at her daughter's antics, “Go bother your father. Leave me alone.”

Molly moved to sit next to Kendrick, hugging his arm, “Dad, mom told me to bother you.”

Kendrick laughed heartily, “I love my bothersome little girl.”

After cooling down inside the house, Kendrick couldn't bear to see his wife go into the kitchen to cook,

so he suggested, “Let's go out for dinner tonight.”

Coleen thought for a moment, “Sure.”

Molly immediately suggested, “Mom, Dad, I know a great place. Chad took me to a seafood buffet last

time. It was delicious. Shall we go there?”

“Sure. Seafood buffet it is.” This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

The family of four set off in their car. When they arrived at the restaurant and Coleen went to pay, she

exclaimed, “$699 per person?”

Molly nodded, “Yeah, Mom. Is it too expensive?”

Coleen, looking at her daughter who didn't understand the value of money, paid the bill. She then led

Molly to their table, complaining to her husband, “Honey, can you believe our daughter's extravagant

tastes? A $699 buffet and she's asking if it's expensive?”

It wasn't about the money, but Molly's careless attitude worried her. By this time, Chad had already

brought some of Molly's favorite seafood to the table.

Kendrick joked, “I wouldn't be able to afford our daughter with my annual salary.”

Molly took a bite of her lobster roll, “I don't eat like this every day. Besides, I'll be able to support myself

once I graduate and get a job.”

Coleen asked, “Do you have any plans for the summer?”

Molly shook her head, “No.”

“Then you can work for me at the office. $400 a month.”

Suddenly, dinner didn't taste as good for Molly.

The Byrne men nodded in agreement, “It would be good for her to gain some work experience.”

During dinner, Molly wanted to eat crab, but she didn't know how to crack it open. She usually left the

legs untouched. Seeing this, Chad took her uneaten crab legs, cracked them open for her, and placed

the meat on her plate.

Kendrick asked Chad about the meeting he had attended, “I heard you were called in for a meeting

after you got back?”

Chad simply nodded, “They asked me a few questions about Chade Inc. But Jose knows all about it. It

was just a routine inquiry.”

Kendrick, a seasoned politician, nodded, guessing why his son had been called in for questioning.

While the father was concerned about his son's career, the mother was more interested in his love life.

Coleen asked, “Chad, didn't you meet any nice girls while you were away?”

Chad replied, “If I had, I wouldn't have used Molly to fool people.”

Molly kept her head down, quietly eating her seafood, her ears pricked up to listen to her parents'

conversation.

Coleen continued, “If you meet someone you like, give it a try.”

Before Coleen could finish her conversation with Chad, Molly put down her seafood and said, “Mom,

can you accompany me to the restroom?”

Coleen shifted her attention back to her daughter, “Can't you find the way yourself?”

“I can, but I want you to come with me.”

Resigned, Coleen got up, “Alright, let's go.”

Molly wiped her hands clean, stood up and followed her mother to the restroom. On the way, she said

to Coleen, “Mom, I thought you said you wouldn't rush my brother to get married?”

Coleen, “I didn't.”

“You were just doing that now.”

Confused, Coleen wondered, did I?

...

At the mansion, the atmosphere was gloomy, the darkened wooden furniture adding to the somber

scene. Finley sat in a wooden chair, holding his phone and listening to a call. “Sir, Kaden and Jose

intend to promote Chad to squad leader. The Byrnes have always stayed out of party politics, both

Kendrick and Chad. Officer Rubin was even ousted by Chad. If he gains more power, I fear he'll turn

against us sooner or later.”

Finley closed his eyes, his voice dark and ominous, “No matter what, we cannot let him take that

position, nor can Kendrick gain more influence.”

After a moment, he added, “This world doesn't need so many noble warriors. There are only winners

and losers. Winners are the true noble warriors in people's hearts. Losers are like dust in the wind,

found everywhere.” His voice was chilling, like a ghoul rising from the underworld.

The other party obviously faltered, "My authority is limited. I can't be too aggressive. I'm wary of

drawing the attention of Bruce. I need your guidance."

Finley opened his eyes, the murkiness in his gaze seemed to reflect the world as he saw it – gory and

turbid. "Marlow."

Just one surname, and the other party got it. After thanking him, the call was ended.

Beside Finley, a sturdy middle-aged man stood silently, a leaf tattoo prominent on his hand. "Sir, should

we make a move on Chad?"

Finley, phone still clasped in hand, shook his head, "We can't touch him. Behind Chad are Kendrick,

Jose, Kaden, and Bruce! If anything happens to Chad, these four won't let it go."

Even with his extensive network, if these four were to unite, they'd stir up a storm. What was more,

behind Chad was his mother's company, Chade Inc., and that woman was not one to be trifled with.
