Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 370

Chapter 370

Molly added, "Even if they end up being soulmates, where love evolves to a point where looks don't

matter, they would never have gotten there without an initial physical attraction.

If it were you and you were asked to marry an ugly person, would you be willing to have a deep

conversation with them?

Don't drag my brother Chad into this and for God's sake, stop insulting him. He's made it clear that he'll

only marry for love, not for any strategic advantage.

Leo, your thinking is twisted. You need some serious help."

Leo had barely said a word, and Molly was already on a roll.

"Enough, Molly. I'm sorry, alright?" Leo was left speechless.

After observing for a while, Mia finally interjected, "Molly, you're so worked up, it's as if you want to

marry your own brother."

"I'm just angry," Molly replied.

Seeing that the situation was getting out of hand, Mia stepped in, "You've been too hard on Leo. All he

said was 'what if Chad marries a politician's daughter for protection' and you went on a rant.

We're here to discuss, not to argue. Leo has a good temper and won't hold it against you." She then

turned to Leo, "You know what sets her off, yet you keep poking the bear."

In the end, they stopped arguing.

Molly insisted, "Chad will not marry anyone else."

"And would you marry him if he asked?" Mia questioned.

"If he asks, I'll say yes," Molly replied.

...

Molly was eating her roast duck and telling the story of the afternoon. She couldn't look Chad in the

eye. "I was asked if I'd marry you if you never found a wife and I impulsively said yes."

Chad paused, looking at the girl who wouldn't meet his gaze. He asked her in a low voice, "Would you

really marry me if I never found a wife?"

"Well, come on, Chad. You're handsome, successful and come from a good family. You'll have no

trouble finding a wife. Don't take what I said to heart. Later, I had to explain it to them for a long time."

Chad's eyes filled with disappointment, and he glanced at his sister, who was eating duck quietly, not

daring to look up. He could clearly sense her avoidance. He didn't say anything more.

He finally understood why Leo had been so hesitant to tell him what had happened.

"Would an argument like this affect your friendship?" Chad wondered about their relationship.

Molly shook her head confidently, "Not at all. We've been friends for many years. One argument won't

break us up. Besides, now we're family. Even if we wanted to, we couldn't break up."

After dinner, when Chad was going to pay, Molly stopped him, "I've got this one, Chad."

She ran off to pay the bill with a huge smile on her face.

...

At the Cedillo's family dinner, Mia was eating her meal with utmost concentration. Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

Naomi, her sister-in-law, offered her some chicken, "Eat some, Mia. It's good for your calcium intake."

"Thank you, Naomi," Mia replied.

After finishing her meal, Mia got up to get some beef stew.

Naomi offered to help, but Mia refused, "I can manage, Naomi. Eat your meal."

After her second bowl of stew, Mia finally stopped eating.

"No more for me. I'm full and the baby should be well-fed too," she announced, rubbing her belly.

She got up and announced, "I'm going for a walk."

Naomi and Leo watched her leave, both noticing a change in her.

Leo asked his mother, "What's up with her?"

Naomi shrugged, "I have no idea."

Hansen speculated, "Did our argument this afternoon upset her?"

Outside, Mia was walking around their lawn. After a while, she sat down on a bench and said to her

belly, "Kick me, kiddo."

There was no response.

"Come on, baby. Give me a little kick," she coaxed.

Still, there was no movement.

She then said, "Baby..."

And her belly kicked.

Her eyes widened in surprise, "Well, so you prefer being called 'baby' over 'kiddo'. You certainly know

how to pick your names. Let's see how your dad reacts to this. He's not as sensitive I am, you should

be happy when he calls you 'kiddo'."

There was no response from her belly.

Mia called, "Kiddo?"

No response.

"Baby?"

Oops, no response again.

"Andre?"

"Mia?"

The belly didn't move at all.

Mia sighed and lay back on the bench, "You're too little for me to control. But once you're born, if you

don't listen to me, I'll spank you. Well, maybe not. You're my flesh and blood after all."

"Son, save your energy. When your dad comes home, give him a little surprise. Not a real one, just a

kick or two like you did this afternoon. Otherwise, your dad won't be surprised and I'll be in trouble."

Mia kept talking to herself.

After finishing his dinner, Leo made his way back to his bedroom. As he passed by the window, he

noticed a girl sitting alone in the yard.

Just then, Naomi was about to bring a glass of juice to Mia. Seeing this, Leo intercepted his mother

mid-way, taking the juice from her. "I'll do it," he said.

Naomi handed the glass to her son. "Alright then, I'm going back to my room."

Leo approached the pregnant girl with the juice in his hand. "My mom says you should drink this. It's

good for your vitamins."

Mia took the glass and thanked him. Then, she began to sip from the straw. "Leo," she began, "Did my

husband assign you some task this afternoon?"

Leo hesitated for a moment before replying, "I must ask, do you know your husband too well or do you

just know when I'm lying?"

Mia had been in the dining room earlier, clearly eating her meal. How on earth did she overhear his

conversation with his mother?

Mia replied, "Just because I was eating doesn't mean I wasn't listening."
