Chapter 22 Forced to Get Married
Chapter 22 Forced to Get Married
Christy wiped the blood on her mouth and looked at Susie with tears in her beautiful almond-shaped
eyes. She covered her grievance and said firmly, "You can insult me or beat me, but please don’t insult
my mother."
She didn’t mind herself being beat or insulted. But she would never allow anyone to insult her families.
Even though her mother abandoned her not long after her birth.
"You told me not to insult your mother? Hah..." Susie sneered and said in a cold voice, "Your mother is
already a slut. She had have sex with a number of different men before she married your short-lived
father. And since you are her daughter, you should be a slut, too."
"That’s enough, you’ve gone too far. Shut up, Osborne is coming." Alberto stopped Susie and said in a
sullen look.
He wanted his daughter to marry into the Davidson family, so he must stop Susie from being so rude in
front of Osborne.
Seeing Osborne, Susie immediately stopped her uncouth behavior and put on a pretentious smile.
"Osborne, welcome! Excuse my words. Christy is so wild and doesn’t subject to discipline, so I have to
admonish her." She said.
The voice just fell, she winked at Thelma who followed Osborne inside, "Thelma, what are you waiting
for? Take Osborne upstairs to have a rest."
Thelma then walked to Osborne and said, "Osborne, let’s go upstairs first."
Osborne glanced at Christy with his cold eyes and wore on a mocking smile, then he went upstairs with
Thelma.
Alberto looked at Christy kindly, whose cheek was red and swollen with mouth bleeding. "Please don’t
mind. Susie didn’t mean what she had said. Why didn’t you come back last night? We were all worried
about you." He said. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
Worried about me?
Christy disdained his words secretly and thought that they wouldn’t even care if she died.
Susie’s words hurt her greatly. Her eyes were brimmed with tears, but she restrained herself from
letting them drop.
She had never shed a tear In the Lauren family no matter how she was wronged, humiliated or
ridiculed.
She forced her tears back, endured the sadness in her heart and the impulse to cry out, and said
lightly, "If there’s nothing else, I will go back to school."
Just when she turned around and was about to leave, Susie’s arrogant voice rang behind her.
"Stop there. You are not allowed to leave. Since we have called you back, there must be something
happening. If you dare to step out of the gate tonight, I will immediately call the nursing home to stop
treating your grandmother."
Grandmother was Christy’s Achilles heel.
Grandmother was the best person in the world after her father died. So there was nothing she couldn’t
put up with to protect her grandmother.
She made a fist and pinched her palm hard. Then she loosened her hand and took a deep breath.
"What?" She said quietly as if nothing had happened just now.
Susie gave her a sarcastic look, sat down, and said in a relatively gentle tone, "It’s time for you to get
married."
Hearing this, Christy pinched her palms and asked, "So what?"
"Actually, we have found a suitable person from a decent family for you. A little old as he may be, he is
rich and is quite a big name in Yuchin City. You can enjoy a happy and leisurely life after marriage."
"Is that so?" Christy snickered and asked, "So who he is?"
