Sweetheart, Do You Still Love Me

Chapter 733 Side Story: Efforts in Pursuing Her 15

Chapter 733 Side Story: Efforts in Pursuing Her 15

Upon hearing this, Hermione instantly fell back into her seat, her face filled with fear. Three hundred million! How could she possibly repay that?! Unfortunately, Elspeth paid no attention to her and simply turned around, pulling Yelena away.

They then entered Elspeth's office. Once there, Yelena couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"What's so funny? Next time you encounter something like this, you can use your power to your advantage."

Elspeth looked at her and clicked her tongue. "Even though I've already transferred all the company shares to you, you still don't dare to reveal your power in front of others. I had to personally come over instead."

Ever since Elspeth's return, she had transferred all the company shares to Yelena. Now, Yelena was the largest shareholder of the entertainment company, which meant that the company was effectively hers.

"Well, I'm trying to be a good actress, you know. If they find out that I'm the CEO of the company, it's like I'm openly giving myself resources." Yelena playfully blinked her eyes. "Thank you for helping me today. How about this? Let me treat you to dinner."

Elspeth thought for a moment and shook her head, feeling a headache coming. "Today might not work. The teacher just called me and said that Damian got into another fight at school."

Yelena tugged at the corners of her mouth. "That brat is quite spirited..."

Damian was currently attending the most well-known elementary school in Damoria. While everyone knew who Damian's parents were and dared not bully him, he always managed to stir up small conflicts for some reason.

"Let's reschedule dinner for another day. Today, I need to go to his school first."

Afraid that Hank might try to invite her to dinner again, Yelena quickly offered herself up. "I'll go with you!"

Elspeth didn't think much of it and simply nodded. "Sure, you can come with me." NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

The two of them drove to Damoria Elementary School. Founded many years ago, the school's architecture leaned toward an old Victorian style. After several years of renovations, it had become even more sophisticated.

To make Damian's schooling more convenient, Elspeth purchased Damoria Elementary School.

On regular days, Elspeth was quite busy, so she often asked the principal for help with taking care of Damian.

The two of them made their way to the principal's office.

As they pushed open the door, they found the principal sitting in his chair, clearly troubled. When he saw Elspeth walking toward him, he stood up with a pleasantly surprised expression.

"Madam Elspeth, you've finally come!"

The principal then shifted his gaze to the person behind her. Yelena was wearing oversized sunglasses, making her unrecognizable.

"And who might this be?"

"Oh, I'm Damian's godmother." Yelena quickly jumped in, avoiding the principal's questions.

Elspeth chuckled awkwardly. "Well, what happened this time? Why is he getting into fights at school again?"

The principal sighed. "It's not exactly fighting. Damian can be impulsive. This time, he said he was defending a little girl..."

Elspeth briskly walked up to Damian and asked, "What's going on here?"

Damian rubbed his arm, which had turned red from the fight, and snorted. "They were bullying that little girl. If I hadn't intervened, they would've made her cry!"

Following his finger, Elspeth saw three tall, sturdy boys who were now hanging their heads in shame, too embarrassed to speak. Beside them stood a little girl holding a plush rabbit doll. She was also looking down, her face slightly dirtied. She bore signs of having been bullied.

It seemed Damian hadn't lied.

"This wasn't a fight, but rather an act of bravery, is that right?"

If the situation was indeed as Damian described, she might even praise him.

The principal eagerly nodded. "Of course, Damian was just standing up for justice."

The matter seemed pretty straightforward at this point. However, one of the three boys behind them suddenly burst into tears.

"Why should he get away with it so easily? He knocked out my tooth!"

The boy spoke with a slight lisp as he cried, and indeed, a front tooth was conspicuously missing.

"Who told you to bully that little girl? It's your fault for getting punched!"

Damian turned his head and made a fist-pounding gesture at the crying boy. The boy who had been wailing moments ago immediately shut his mouth, tears still streaking down his cheeks.

This boy, who appeared to be in fourth or fifth grade, had unexpectedly been put in his place by a first grader. For some reason, Elspeth found herself wanting to silently applaud Damian.

Since the situation had been resolved, Elspeth didn't plan to say much more. To appease the victims, she took out three checks from her pocket, swiftly filled them out, and handed them to the three children in front of her.

"This is compensation for you. Just give these to your parents when you get home."

With that, Elspeth turned her head and nodded at the principal. "Thank you for everything. We'll be leaving now."

Damian shot a fierce glare at the young boy from behind, then ran over to the little girl. "Hey, if he dares to bully you again, just let me know. I promise I won't let him off easy next time."

Even though this girl appeared to be around the same age as Damian, according to the principal, she was already in the fourth grade.

Who's the younger one here?

Elspeth helplessly covered her forehead, but she could only watch as her son gave stern advice word by word.

"I understand. Thank you. What's your name?"

Damian flashed a smile. "I'm Damian Lynwood."

The little girl nodded, about to introduce herself, but Damian turned and walked away before she could say her name.

The little girl was speechless.

This boy is so impolite!

...

Sitting in the car, Elspeth recalled what Damian had done just now and felt puzzled. "Damian, why didn't you let that little girl introduce herself?"

Damian shook his head. Although his face was bruised, it didn't affect his handsomeness. "Well, I don't really want to get to know her. I just genuinely wanted to protect her."

"Oh, is that so? I thought you might have feelings for that girl."

Yelena teased from the side, saying, "Seeing you all fired up earlier, I thought you had a crush on the girl and was standing up for her."

Damian's face instantly turned red. "Don't make things up like that, Ms. Yelena. I don't like any girl. I just happened to pass by and saw those three boys bullying her, trying to take her stuffed toy. I got upset and stepped in to help."
