Taming The CEO The Escaping Wife

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

What the hell?

Elgin scooped her up with his big hands and tossed her into the car like it was nothing.

Cowering in the corner, Letitia panicked. “Who, who are you marrying me off to No, let me out of the car…”

She was a living and breathing person, not some parcel they could pass around.

“I could marry you off to anyone I want.” Elgin pinched her chin. saying icily, “You don’t get a say”

Letitia felt like crying but feared annoying him, so she held back her tears, not daring to let them fall. Catching a glimpse of Letitia’s tear-filled and bright eyes, Elgin felt a momentary softness in his heart.

No, how could he feel pity for his enemy’s daughter? Ridiculous! Elgin’s face looked cold and impassive again as he irritably adjusted his tie.

Suddenly, a pair of soft and pale hands appeared in his cuffs.

“Please, please don’t…” Letitia’s tears splashed onto the back of his hand. “Anything but this. Don’t ruin me like this…”

It was the first time she had begged Elgin, and she didn’t know if it would make any difference.

Her voice eerily reminded Elgin of the woman from the night before.

There was a resemblance! But it couldn’t be Letitia. She had been locked up in the mental hospital and had no way out.

Elgin gently cleaned the tears from his hand. “After two years, I finally hear you back down.”

Then, he said with a cruel smile, “Too bad. It’s pointless.”

Her hands slipped from his sleeve.

His phone started ringing. Phedra, his stepmother, was calling.

“Dear Elgin,” Phedra pretended to care and asked, “I heard you were with a woman at the hotel last night..

Before she could finish, Elgin cut her off, “That’s right. We’re on our way to the city hall now.”

“What. huh? You’re marrying her?”

“Yes.”

Elgin was a master at striking the first blow.

Phedra was trying to plant a spy by his side by sending him women, and he was not about to let her have her way.

Elgin would keep searching for the woman from last night, but he couldn’t let Phedra catch on.

The room was pitch black, and he hadn’t seen her face. So Phedra could easily find someone to impersonate her, and he couldn’t tell.

The best plan for the time was to have Letitia fill in temporarily!

After all, she was bound to him for life, paying for her sins.

After hanging up, Elgin raised an eyebrow slightly. “Listen up, Letitia. The man you’re marrying… is me.”

Marry him? Letitia couldn’t believe her ears.

Yet, judging by his expression, he didn’t appear to be joking at all!

Letitia held the pen but didn’t sign at the city hall.

She had never imagined becoming Mrs. Ramirez. She didn’t belong in that place.

She would stay in the psychiatric hospital rather than stay by Elgin’s side day and night.

The clerk asked suspiciously, “Ms. Sanders, are you doing this of your own free will?”

“Of course.” Elgin embraced her from behind, guiding her hand to sign. “My wife is too excited.”

His broad chest against her back felt seemingly gentle but was forceful!

“Letitia, if this marriage doesn’t go through, I’ll definitely make you suffer!” Elgin warned in a chilling whisper.

Letitia felt like a puppet, manipulated at his will

When the marriage certificate was issued, Elgin took it away. “Don’t get any ideas, Letitia. You’re still nothing.”

She bit her lip. “Is marrying me just another way to torment me?”

“You could say that.” Elgin walked out. “Back to Ivory Towers.”

Ivory Towers was Elgin’s private residence, located in an upscale neighborhood and surrounded by mountains and water, which was the epitome of luxury.

It was like a gilded cage.

Standing in the middle of the living room, Letitia looked out of place in her faded clothes and canvas shoes like an ugly duckling that had stumbled into a castle.

The servants whispered among themselves, “Who is that? Jesus. She’s dressed poorer than us.”

“Shush, Mr. Ramirez brought her here himself.”

The butler scolded, “Have you no desire to keep your tongues? That’s Mrs. Ramirez, the lady of Ivory Towers!”

Goodness, Mrs. Ramirez looked so plain!

Elgin walked over and instructed indifferently, “Clean her up and bring her to my room.”

Letitia was horrified, wondering what he was going to do.

No, he would see the love bites on her body!

Even without having sex, just being in the same room with Elgin was enough to suffocate Letitia!

She shrank back. “I can sleep anywhere, like the basement, the utility room, or even on the floor!”

“I decide what you do!” Elgin waved his hand, signaling the servants to take her away as he headed upstairs.

Letitia’s palms sweated with nervousness, dreading what awaited her.

She couldn’t keep being so submissive. She must escape! Of all stratagems, retreat is the best!

The bathtub was full of water, and the servants were about to undress her.

“I can do it myself,” she said, “Just wait at the door.” Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.

“But Mr. Ramirez instructed…”

“I won’t tell him.”

After sending everyone away, Letitia looked up at the small window.

Elgin sat before the computer in the study, looking at Dr. William on the screen. “Did the results come out?”

William coughed, “They did, but…”

“Spit it out.”

“Asthenozoospermia,” William said, “I’ve checked three times. No mistake.”

Elgin’s fingers, tapping on the desk, halted all at once.

When he received the medical report two days ago, he couldn’t believe he had such a disease and immediately contacted top-notch urologists abroad. Surprisingly, he got the same result.

William continued, “But Mr. Ramirez, I found something unusual in the tests.”

“Oh

“I’m sure some food or medication you’ve been taking for a long time has caused this ”

Hearing this, Elgin relaxed a bit.

He smirked coldly. “Is it curable?”

“Absolutely. Mr. Ramirez, I’ll prescribe you medication, a three-month course. But the best way is to find the cause for a

permanent cure.”

“Hmm” Elgin looked out the window, his mind crystal clear

Since his father’s death, Phedra had been sending all sorts of soups to Ivory Towers daily under the quise of caring for

him

If he didn’t make a move, Phedra would nag non stop, going on and on about stuff like Marcel’s favorite drinks when he

was alive

Elgin was so annoyed that he couldn’t stand it and took several sips each time to humor her. Who would’ve thought that Phedra had such a wicked scheme up her sleeve?

She wanted to use this trick to make sure none could carry his child even if he got a bunch of women, and thus cut off the Ramirez family line!

“Thump thump thump!” He heard footsteps rushing outside, and the butler banged on the door hard. “Mr. Ramirez! Trouble!

Elgin had an icy look. “What’s the panic? Spill it!”

“Mrs. Ramirez… is gone!”

The bathroom was in perfect order, and the bath water was untouched. Only the ventilation window was open, just wide enough for a person to wriggle through.

Letitia had the nerve to escape through the window! She sure had some nerve!

Elgin’s face was as dark as thunder. “A bunch of good-for-nothings! You can’t even keep an eye on one woman!”

“Mr. Ramirez, Mrs. Ramirez’s phone is still here… There’s a voice message.”

Elgin played it, and a clear female voice came through.

“Elgin, I’ve had two years of atonement, and we’re even. Don’t count on seeing me again!”
