Chapter 151
Chapter 151
Charlotte pulled her hand away from Tom, who was still holding it. Everything felt like an illusion, but there was nothing she could do about it other than accepting her fate.
If someone had told her when she was bad that she was going to turn good one day, she would not have believed it. So how could she assure him that she was going to remain this good?
“I never said I’m perfect, and I don’t know what would happen tomorrow. Tom, I can only promise today, but tomorrow is vague to me. I should leave now,”
She was about to stand up, but Tom stopped her. His life revolved around one woman, and that was Charlotte.
Back then, he hoped fiercely for her to be his mate, but upon their return to the pack, she found out Alpha Nick was her fated mate.
Alpha Nick was also his best friend, but he could not choose friendship over love, even when his prayers to have Charlotte as his mate were unanswered.
He did all he could to keep her, but she was so slimy. At this point, nothing could stand between them.
“If all that you are saying is true, then come with me and let’s start over,” he said seriously. Charlotte was confused, and it showed on her face.
“What about the woman who helped you?” She was no longer the vile woman and cared about the one who made a sacrifice for her man.
Tom got the answers he wanted and decided to come clean. “There is nothing between us, so I will compensate her when our businesses pick up. I was just afraid you would cause problems for her.” Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
Charlotte was stunned by the confession but equally found it a bit too hard to believe and asked him,
“Have you slept with her?”
Tom shook his head and replied, no longer putting up any pranks. “No, but she’s always been with me and is currently taking care of things in my absence. I honestly wanted to propose to her after my return.”
Charlotte was grateful for how candid he was with her. “So if not for the
pregnancy, you would not have come back for me?”
Tom was not expecting this question from her when she was the one who broke things off with him.
“Charlotte, did you forget the conditions you gave me before I left the magic pack? What did you expect me to do?”
Guilt welled up in Charlotte’s heart as she replied candidly. “I understand that everything is my fault. I will take the opportunity you have given me and I promise not to harm that woman even if you have slept with her.”
This was her only opportunity to get her life back together and give her unborn child a complete family. She was not going to waste it, but Tom was a little skeptical about her acceptance of his conditions.
“Now you are getting me scared. You used to be
be very jealous.”
Shaking her head, Charlotte replied, “You did not cheat on me when we were together, and that makes you trustworthy.”
Taking stock of their relationship, Charlotte knew her weaknesses and was determined to work on them. To make Tom happy for once, for all the sacrifices he made for her, which he still did not regret and was willing to take her back.
“Okay. Then no need to return to the magic pack. We can leave from here,” Tom put his cards on the table, but Charlotte felt that things were a little rushed.
“I have to go get my stuff,” she reminded him, but he assured her. “Charlotte, I might not be rich, but I can get you some clothes.”
A genuine smile lined the corners of Charlotte’s lips as she made ready to take this journey with Tom once again.
“Alright, let’s go.”
Tom was about to stand up when he recalled something important. “But that reminds me. Why did you give the dew drops pearl bracelet to Daisy? Did you know that it had supernatural powers?”
He felt that Charlotte would not have parted with the bracelet if she knew the true value of it.
“She liked it and even snatched it. Sheridan called me to come back for it, but I felt it did not belong to me anymore. As for it having powers, I don’t really care for it,” Charlotte said seriously. Nothing else mattered to her.

It took her a long time to realize that the most important things in life were priceless, just like family.
“My grandmother asked me to give it to the woman I love, so how could you throw it away?” Tom was a little irritated, feeling like she did not cherish his gift, but that made Charlotte equally reveal her findings on it.
“I did not throw it away. Your grandmother should have told you the truth about that bracelet.”
Tom was realizing that there was indeed more to everything than he thought and asked her,
“What is the truth about it? Did you know it all along before giving it to the little girl? What if it hurts her?”
He thought the truth about it was something awful, afraid that Alpha Nick might come to look for them if that were the case, but Charlotte: explained it to his understanding.
“I’m happy that you care about Daisy, but so do I. I lost it at the magic pack, and somebody found and returned it, calling it a treasure.”
Confusion clouded Tom’s mind as he asked her again, “If it was indeed a treasure, then why did the person return it?”
Charlotte swallowed tightly, unable to keep it in anymore. “He said that the dew drops pearl bracelet cannot be stolen and would always find its way to the rightful owner.”
Creasing his brow, Tom felt there was more to this mystery. “What is that supposed to mean? Are you saying that my grandmother stole the bracelet? From who?”
