Chapter 431
Chapter 431
Just like how she constantly reminded Sadie not to be late, but Sadie still took her own sweet time
shopping, causing Mr. Simonds, the assistant director, to lose his cool that day. Sidney gave her an
earful over the phone.
She even had to apologize to the crew with a smile, but Sadie was still not satisfied with her.
The morning shoot was extended by an hour and a half because Sadie couldn’t remember her lines.
But Allison had no scenes in the afternoon, so the delay didn’t matter to her.
When she was about to leave, someone from the crew told her that she needed to reshoot two scenes
at a different location.
Allison agreed with a smile. She didn’t have a trailer and had to wait for the crew’s car to pick her up.
Sadie’s voice could be heard from afar. “Where’s the driver?”
Sadie also wanted to leave, but she couldn’t find the driver.
Emma said, “The driver took a leave, he had an emergency at home and has already left.”
Sadie stood under an umbrella and said, “Don’t you know you should’ve arranged for a standby driver
immediately?” Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
“I’ve arranged for one. He’ll be here soon.” Emma took out her phone, called the driver to hurry him up,
and was told that he was stuck on an overpass and would definitely arrive within half an hour.
Sadie said, “Go get me a cup of Starbucks black coffee.”
Emma asked, “Now?” The nearest Starbucks was ove
Sadie nodded, “Got a problem? Go.”
hour round trip.
Emma glanced at Kendra, who was Sadie’s assistant standing behind her. Kendra was a relative of
Sadie, and Sadie wouldn’t have her do such a thing.
Emma nodded, “Okay, I’ll go right away.”
Emma took a taxi to get the coffee, spent 52 minutes on the round trip, but Sadie had already left.
The standby driver came and drove off with Sadie’s trailer.
Emma sighed deeply, knowing that Sadie wouldn’t wait for her. She took a sip of the black coffee in her
hand, which was indeed bitter.
Suddenly, a gentle voice came, like a mist dissolving in Emma’s ear, without any ups and downs, but
very comfortable.
“Emma, my car is here, do you want to come with me?” Allison asked.
Emma looked at Allison. The car that was picking up Allison had just arrived, and Allison was looking at
Emma, motioning her to come along.
Lola said, “Emma, come with us, or else you’ll have to take a taxi back.”
Emma smiled and said, “Alright.”
Emma was young, about twenty-five years old. She probably just graduated from college, and became
an agent in the entertainment industry. But she was inexperienced and young, with no connections.
After joining Epic Entertainment, she was assigned to be Sadie’s executive agent.
Lola asked, “Emma, where are you going? Are you looking for Sadie?”
Emma shook her head, “I’m going to the company.”
Lola told the driver, “Sir, after you drop us off at the shooting location, don’t forget to take Emma to the
company.”
Lola looked very cute, with a round face that was likable.
The driver smiled, “Alright, no problem.”
Emma looked out the window. The journey didn’t seem to have shortened; it would take at least an
hour to get to the shooting location from here.
Her gaze fell on Allison.
Allison was wearing an eye mask. Her hair was smooth. She was wearing a white shirt and jeans,
sitting in the chair resting, in a comfortable and natural posture.
“Allison, did you get some rest?” Emma asked.
“Mm, not yet.” Allison said.
“Allison, you don’t have many scenes, and you’ll be done shooting soon. Have you decided on your
next movie?” Emma asked.
Allison had many options, but Lucian had more for her.
She was leaning back in her chair, wearing an eye mask and enjoying the breeze, “I’m not sure yet.
We’ll see what my sugar daddy arranges for me.”
Emma was startled by Allison’s words, “Allison, you’re joking, right?”
Lola also laughed, “Emma, just consider it as joking. Allison hasn’t picked her next play.”
Lola’s eyes shifted, seemingly wanting to dig for some information, “Has Sadie confirmed her next
play?”
Emma said, “Yes, she has. Her next play is a supporting role in a sci-fi film. Sidney is in charge, it’s a
rare opportunity and it’s very confidential.”
Sadie was the lead of this play, she had at least twenty days left before she finished shooting, but her
next play was already set.
Allison’s next play was still undecided..
Emma felt that the entertainment industry was indeed unfair. Allison was beautiful. She had a good
personality, and was capable. However, she was not valued in the company.
On the other hand, Sadie, who was always forgetting her lines, being late and disrespectful to her work,
was getting opportunities one after another.
In the same company, their gap was huge as newcomers.
Allison laughed softly, “If it’s supposed to be confidential, why did you tell us?”
Emma gave a bitter smile and didn’t say anything.
