Chapter 459

“Allison!” Grace scolded, “You really don’t know how to behave! Just because you don’t like Penelope

doesn’t mean you can talk behind her back!”

Allison sighed, and their entire journey was filled with silence. The car stopped at Blue Mountain

Estate.

Allison and Grace got out of the car. She said to the driver, “Tom, could you do me a favor?”

“Ms. Zimmer, go ahead.” Tom said. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

“Could you not tell Lucian about what happened today.” Allison said.

“Umm…” Tom hesitated. His job was to chauffeur Allison and report everything he knew to Lucian.

“Ms. Zimmer, are you referring to the hospital visit today?” Tom asked.

Allison nodded, showing a polite smile on her face, “Yes, thanks for your help. I’ll take you out for a

meal as a token of appreciation, and if you ever need anything, I’ll definitely help out.”

Tom nodded, getting a promise from Allison was something he wouldn’t turn down, “Alright, I’ll keep it a

secret.”

“Thank you.” Allison said.

As Allison was about to leave, Tom said, “Ms. Zimmer, where’s your bracelet?”

Tom noticed because he overheard the conversation between Grace and Allison in the car about the

necklace from Penelope and Allison’s bracelet exchange. But from the conversation, it was clear that

Allison didn’t willingly give Penelope the bracelet.

This bracelet was a gift from Mr. Lindberg, bought for two million dollars for Allison.

Allison smiled slightly. Her skin was smooth, and under the sunlight it looked like transparent crystal.

Tom realized he had been staring at Allison for several seconds and quickly looked away, feeling rude.

“That’s why I asked you to keep it a secret.” Allison said, “You already agreed.”

“But this bracelet is from Mr. Lindberg, he’ll find out sooner or later. Have you thought about how you’re

going to explain?” Tom asked.

“I’ve already thought it through.” Allison laughed, “I’ll just say I lost the bracelet.”

Tom was taken aback, “Ms. Zimmer, this is…”

After returning home, Allison was getting ready to take a bath and change clothes. She had to discuss

the script with Emma that evening. As soon as she entered, she saw Grace making a phone call in the

living room.

Allison was planning to go straight to her room, but then she heard Grace say, “You want cherry pie,

okay. I’ll bring it to you tomorrow. Oh you’re being discharged tomorrow and I’ll deliver it to the

Flanagan family.”

Allison stopped in her tracks, and she slowly turned around, “Mom, are you talking to Penelope?”

Grace covered the phone, hastily said a few words, and then hung up. She looked at Allison, saying,

“Penelope wants cherry pie, and I fancy some too. I was planning on making some, so making a little

more doesn’t matter.”

“Mom, she’s a Flanagan. They have a ton of servants to cater to her, and her mother is Leah! She

doesn’t need you to take care of her! Mom, we have our own life!” Allison said.

She was fed up with Grace getting all worked up every time Penelope came up, as if Penelope was her

biological daughter. Allison felt frustrated and helpless.

Grace stood up, “I’ve been making cherry pie for over a decade. Penelope has already gotten used to

the taste. I’m home all day with nothing to do, and it only takes a few minutes to deliver it to her. Plus,

you see, she’s bedridden now, with fractures in her hands and feet.”

Seeing Allison looking upset, Grace quickly said, “Didn’t you always want cherry pie as well? I’ll make it

now, so it can last for three days.”

Watching Grace head towards the kitchen, Allison whispered, “Mom, am I your biological daughter?”

Grace was tying her apron, and she froze as she heard this.

Grace stopped what she was doing.
