The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 578

Chapter 578

“Lauren, did anyone ever tell you not to rush a man?”

Emma paused, looking at Hughes. “No, you’re the first.”

Hughes was taken aback as well. In fact, the first time he was with Emma, he could sense that she was

quite traditional. He flashed a bright smile, his white teeth gleaming. “Good, remember that I’m the

first.”

“Well, hurry up then. I really do have to go to work soon,” she said seriously.

Hughes couldn’t help but chuckle. He thought Emma wouldn’t come over last night, but to his surprise,

she had turned up at midnight. He lifted Emma in his arms. “Tell me, what do you need me to do?”

He was really about to lose to this woman who, even in such an intimate moment, was seriously

discussing work with him. Somehow, it was endearing.

Emma’s glasses were off. Under the bathroom light, her skin had the glow of silk. Her pretty face and

those bright eyes captivated Hughes, who leaned in to kiss her eyelids. Emma dodged slightly. “Your

stubble…”

“Alright, alright, I’ll make sure I shave next time, okay?” Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

“Do you know any hackers, maybe someone with good skills?”

“How do you rate my skills?” Hughes teased her, changing his movement, which made Emma frown

and moan softly. “I’m trying to talk serious business here. Don’t joke like that… I…” She suddenly bit

her lip, holding back the sounds rising in her throat. Her eyes were reddening a bit due to his boldness.

Half an hour later, they left the bathroom. Emma was fully dressed, composed. Wrapped in a towel,

Hughes opened his laptop. “I’m being serious too. Your request is simple. Don’t worry. They won’t find

anything.”

He had majored in computer science in college. He knew the ropes. Following Emma’s instructions, he

sent the unblurred photos to the given email address.

Emma said, “It’s that simple?”

“Yeah, it’s that simple. Rest assured. They can’t trace this email’s IP, not even with a top-notch hacker.”

“Thank you,” Emma said with a hint of a smile.

Hughes sat in a chair watching Emma. “I’m curious. Why are you so good to your boss? You came to

me for Robbie’s sake, and now for a video. Why? Has she got something on you?”

Emma shook her head. Her lashes were drooping. “She’s been good to me. She helped me when I

was at my lowest. Besides my mom, she’s the kindest to me.’

“You really are easily touched. So, what do you think of me? Haven’t I been good to you?”

All packed up, Emma walked to the door carrying her bag. Her fingers touched the doorknob. At the

sound of his voice, her fingers trembled. “I’m not frivolous, Mr. Hughes. You’ve been good to me, which

is why I came. I think you’re a good person too.”

Hughes had just asked casually. The sincere and heartfelt response from Emma stopped him in his

tracks.

Several minutes had passed since Emma left. Hughes picked up a pack of cigarettes from the table, lit

one, and took a few heavy drags. He exhaled a thick plume of smoke and chuckled softly to himself.

Her words echoed in his mind.
