He Fainted!
I kicked him lightly and turned my back to him, covering myself with the blanket.
“That’s your problem! And if that doesn’t get little, I won’t agree to make love with you!”
I saw from the corner of my eye that Rozzean scratched his head. He slowly moved closer to me and slid under the blanket. I could feel his firmness against my back, poking me.
“Rozzean,” I warned in my tone.
“Baby, it won’t get little anymore. Besides, isn’t it good to feel me inside? The longer, the better…” he whispered. His hand glided over my breast, massaging it.
His lips were on my neck, giving it soft kisses. When I faced him, I gasped as he lifted me and seated me on top of him. I moaned when I felt him move.
“Rozzean!” I exclaimed, slapping his chest. I heard a hearty laugh.
“Sorry, Thaliana, I can’t make it smaller. This is my size, and I’m proud.”
I averted my gaze from him.
“It might reach and poke our baby, so no more–”
“W-What? Poke the?”
Rozzean turned me to face him. I saw the surprise on his face. I cleared my throat and got off him. I reached for my pants on the side. Fumbling through the pocket, I pulled out a pregnancy test kit.
I went back to Rozzean and presented it to him.
“I’m pregnant.”
“We are having a baby.”
I saw him swallow hard. He took the kit from me and examined it.
“Fck. Really?!”
I smiled and nodded at him. His reaction was delightful. He couldn’t believe he was looking at the pregnancy test kit in his hands. I held him by both cheeks, and his gaze lingered on me.
“I used four pregnancy test kits. All positive. We are pregnant, Rozzean. We are having a baby.”
It was a special moment. I didn’t expect him to cry in front of me.
“You are amazing… so amazing, baby,” he said and kissed my forehead. He hugged me tightly.
I heard him sobbing. I knew he wanted a baby, but I didn’t anticipate this level of emotion. I stroked his back, and my hand reached his head, running my fingers through his hair.
“Thank you… thank you so much, Thaliana. This is the best wedding gift for us. Thank you, baby. I-I don’t know how to express how happy I am. There are no right words for what I feel right now. I am so happy… extremely happy.”
After Rozzean found out I was pregnant, we decided to go for a check-up the next day. He couldn’t wait. He suggested going yesterday, but I asked to wait until today to prepare.
“Oh? Where are you guys going?” It was Luther. I shifted my gaze, looking for Thes. She spent the night here too.
“Where’s Thes?”
“She’s in the kitchen. I told her to cook breakfast for me-oh, she’s here.”
I looked at Thes, who was carrying hotdogs.
“Here it is!” my friend shouted and placed four hotdogs in front of Luther.
Luther pierced one hotdog and happily bit into it while looking at Thes. My friend gave Luther a stern look. She walked over, took a hotdog, and I chuckled at the way she ate it. She licked the tip and slowly took it in.
“Mmm… delicious,” Thes said, making Luther suddenly choke.
He quickly stood up and went to the kitchen.
“Annoying ass!” Thes said as she sat on the sofa.
“Are they fighting?”Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
I glanced at Rozzean. I shrugged at him because I also didn’t know what happened between them.
“Thes, we are going for a check-up. Are you coming?” Rozzean approached her.
“What? Now? Yes, I’m coming!”
“Who is getting a check-up?” Luther asked upon returning.
“Thaliana is pregnant.”
“Oh? Congrats! I’ll go with you guys!”
And that’s what happened. We used just one car for the four of us. I peeked at the two in the back. There was a lot of space between them, and it seemed like Thes was avoiding contact with Luther.
I wonder what happened between them and how they met. I can’t recall mentioning Luther to Thes. It’s the same with my friend. Now, when they talk, it’s like something’s different.
“Good afternoon, Mr. Valleje. Dr. Trezzio will be here in a moment.”
I tightly held Rozzean’s hand. He seemed to know where we were going right away.
“This is Ferline’s clinic, baby. She’s an ob-gyn, and she’s our cousin.”
Ohhh…
“Hey! Rozz! Luther!”
We stood up when their cousin arrived. She’s a beautiful doctor with hair neatly tied on both sides, and she’s also wearing glasses.
“Who’s getting a check-up? Your wife, Luther?” she asked, looking at Thes and checking her pulse.
“Come on, Mrs.”
I almost laughed seeing my friend’s reaction.
“Oh, no! I-I’m not! And he’s not my husband!” Thes replied, pointing to Luther, who just grinned on the side.
“Answer, you ass!” Thes whispered to Luther.
I shook my head at the two of them. Rozzean stepped forward and talked to his cousin.
“My wife here, Ferline. She’s the one getting a check-up. She did a pregnancy test yesterday, and it’s positive.”
“Ohh, okay, come on!”
Rozzean and I followed his cousin. When I felt Rozzean’s grip on me tighten, I looked up at him.
“Why? Is there a problem?”
He shook his head and brought my hand to his lips.
“I am just nervous, baby… I hope our child is healthy.”
I smiled at what he said. He seemed more anxious than us, even though I’m the one being checked.
When we reached the room for the test, Rozzean’s cousin handed me another pregnancy test kit. When it showed positive again, I gave it to her. She did some tests, instructed me to lie down on the bed, and I changed into a patient gown.
I looked around the room. There was equipment on the side. If I was just nervous before, now I was extremely anxious.
Rozzean was beside me, holding my hand while Ferline applied cream. When she finished, I felt her pointing something on my stomach downwards. She was looking at the monitor beside me.
“Hmmm…”
“Based on the ultrasound, you are 6 weeks pregnant.”
6 weeks?! 6 weeks and I didn’t feel a thing?! Why am I not having morning sickness?
“6 weeks already? B-but I haven’t felt anything,” I said, looking at Rozzean, who also seemed surprised.
6 weeks… darn. So we might have conceived even before coming to Rozzean’s house!
“It’s normal, Mrs. Valleje. It’s good that you decided to take a pregnancy test because your babies are quiet,” Ferline reassured.
My forehead wrinkled, and my lips parted in surprise at what she said.
“W-What? Come again, Ferline? T-Twins?” Rozzean, looking equally surprised, stammered.
“Yes! You are having twins!”
I tightly gripped Rozzean’s hand and turned to him upon hearing Ferline’s announcement. I couldn’t explain the joy I felt. Two… I have two in my womb.
“Great job, cousin. Twins right away, huh?” Ferline teased Rozzean with a wide grin.
“W-What do we need to do? What’s not allowed for her? What does she need to take to keep our babies healthy? What should I do?” Rozzean asked. I felt the chill in his hand, but with his questions, I knew he was excited.
But Ferline didn’t answer. She continued to stare at the monitor while moving the transducer she was holding.
“Hmm…”
“Uh, why?” I asked.
She looked at me.
“I need to make sure of this,” she said and adjusted the transducer.
“Ohh!”
Ferline quickly turned to me and Rozzean.
“I’m sorry, I made a mistake. You’re not having twins.”
Rozzean looked at me, his face saddened. I shook my head at him and smiled.
“It’s okay, as long as this one is healthy, that’s what matters, right?” I reassured him.
“No… no…”
I returned my gaze, along with Rozzean’s, to Ferline, who was still looking at the monitor because of what she said.
“I am sorry, you are not going to have twins, but you both will have triplets! Congrats! OMG!”
“T-Triplets,” Rozzean said.
I happily smiled and turned to him, but my smile faded when I saw his face suddenly drained of color.
“Rozzean, we are having-” I stopped when I felt him release his grip on me and lose consciousness.
“Sht. Rozzean!” I shouted. I quickly got up and grabbed his hand.
“Rozzean! Baby!”
“Oh! Cousin!” Ferline screamed, letting go of the transducer.
“What?! What happened?!” Luther and Thes shouted as they just entered the room. It seemed like they heard our cries.
“What happened, guys?!”
The three of us looked at each other, then Luther’s gaze dropped, and he winced at what he saw.
“H-He fainted…” I said, looking at Rozzean lying on the floor unconscious.
