The Billionaire’s Pretend Fiancée

Roman’s POV

“Are you sure this menu is in English? Because I literally can’t pronounce most of the dishes here.” Sofie said, causing me to chuckle.

I watched her raise the menu again with a frown etching her ethereal features,, and I couldn’t help but be swooned all over again.

“Why are you looking at me? Is there something on my face?” She asked, placing the menu on the table.

“Yes, beauty. Lots of it.” I casually said.

Damien was right, I was really the biggest simp in the world for Sofie.

“Please never say stuff like that again.” Sofie muttered, rolling her eyes as a waitress stopped at our table.

“A lovely evening to you sir and ma. I hope the ambiance is cozy enough for your comfort.” She said, a business smile curving her lips upward.

I nodded, “Yes, thank you.”

“My pleasure, sir. Are you ready to have dinner yet?”

“Yes, I am.” I said, “I’ll have filet mignon.”

She wrote it down on a small jotter before averting her gaze on Sofie whose lips were wordlessly moving with a squint curving her eyes.

“Have you chosen anything yet, cara?” I asked, to which she nodded.

“Yeah but I don’t think I know how to pronounce it but I’ll try.” She said and cleared her throat, “I’d like to have some steak au priver please.”

The waitress also noted down Sofie’s order before asking. “While your meals are being prepared, would you like to have some appetizers as you wait?”

I shook my head, “No. I’m good, thanks.”

“I’m good too.” Sofie said, to which the waitress nodded before she left.

“I guess I did pretty good with pronouncing that strange language.” Sofie muttered as soon as the server was out of hearing range.

“Yeah, you did good but the correct pronunciation is Steak au poivre.” I lectured her.

She shrugged, “They both sound the same to me though. There’s no significant difference.”

Soon our meals were served with a bottle of exotic red wine. For a good ten minutes, Sofie stared at her food, with horror visible in her eyes before picking up her cutlery and gingerly cutting a tiny slice of steak, while deftly avoiding the peppercorn sauce.

I stifled the urge to laugh as I watched her slowly place the forkful of the meat inside her mouth.

“So how is it? Do you like it?” I asked, closely observing her demeanor.

She grinned sheepishly, “Surprisingly, it tastes like normal meat.”

“Of course, it’s going to taste like normal meat because steak is made from beef. Now dip it into the sauce, you’ll see that your palate will thank you.” I motioned to the creamy soup on her plate which she cringed at before shaking her head in negation.

“No, thank you. This thing looks like cum sprinkled with grated vegetables.” She blurted out before the gravity of her lewd words hit her, causing her to redden in embarrassment.

“You’re sexualizing food now, huh?” I taunted her with a chuckle, and a humourous shake of head.NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

She flustered as she cut another piece of meat for herself. “It slipped out okay? I didn’t mean to say it like that.”

“So will you try it now?”

“Try what?”

“What else? The peppercorn sauce of course.” I huffed, and she heaved a deep sigh before tentatively poking the sauce with her steak.

Her facial expression was priceless; it made me snort out loud.

She looked like she was about to puke but she forced herself to swallow it before chugging down her glass of water, “Never give me food combination ideas again.”

I tsked as I swallowed the last piece of steak on my plate, “Your palate is just as unique as you are.”

“Do you want some wine?” I asked, already making to pour some into the wine goblet placed in front of her.

She fervently shook her head as she instantly snatched the goblet, “No, thank you. I’ll have some non-alcoholic wine please.”

I frowned, that was strangely unlike her because I knew how much she loved drinking wine from that specific brand.

“Am I dreaming? You saying no to wine? In what universe am I in?” I huffed, pouring myself some wine.

“I visited the obstetrician yesterday and he advised me to stop taking alcoholic drinks. He said it’s not good for me and the-” She paused as her face instantly became devoid of colour for a split second.

“You went to see an obstetrician? Why?” I asked.

“Did I say an obstetrician? I meant a physician, I keep mixing things like these up.” She laughed which made me smile, although something within me didn’t quite believe her but I ignored it.

If she said she went to see a physician, then she surely did.

“Why did you go to see a physician anyway? Did the flu come back?”

“No, not really. I went for a full body check up, I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to get worried.” She replied, and I nodded.

“From now on, you should always let me know if you’re not feeling well, okay?”

“Okay.”

“What would you like for dessert?” I asked, in an attempt to lift the weird tension of the ambiance between us.

“Cheesecake tartlets, you?”

“I guess I’ll also go with that too.” I muttered, and she darted me a pleased grin.

Two servings of mini blueberry cheesecake tartlets and a serving of sticky toffee pudding later, we were done with the first aspect of our date, and we left the restaurant.

“How well did you like the restaurant?” I asked moments later, when we had settled in the limousine and were on our way back home.

“I really loved everything about it, especially the dessert, it atoned for that weird peppercorn sauce. I really enjoyed today, thanks for giving me such a wonderful experience.” Sofie said, pressing a kiss to my cheek.

“I’m glad you liked it.”

“Me too.”

“Can I ask you a question?” I inquired, and she nodded, smiling.

“Do you have a sexual fantasy?”

Her smile instantly dissipated as she choked on air and started coughing.

“Easy, cara.” I said, patting her back.

“I’m fine but your question really caught me off guard.” She muttered as her face reddened.

“So yes or no? Do you have one?”

She nibbled on her lower lip as she shyly nodded, “Yes.”

“What is it?”

“I’ve always wanted to have sex in a car.” She mumbled, and I felt the sensual heat of lust pool at the pit of my belly as I leaned in toward her.

“Really?”

“Yes.” She squeaked.

“There’s nothing stopping us from fulfilling that thrilling fantasy of yours right now, is there?” I whispered, raising her jaw with a finger and darting my gaze from her eyes to her plump, sultry lips.

“No.” She whimpered, and I smirked before closing the gap between us with a kiss.
