Alice’s chest rose and fell in anger, she just couldn’t believe that her daughter would do something as atrocious as this..

“Mum listen to me-

“You lied about everything? do you realize what you’ve done?!” Alice barked cutting off Lora’s speech midway, she didn’t want to listen to anymore lies from her daughter..

Vanessa’s lips twitched, this was an unexpected twist in the story, since Alice was aware of this whole drama, there was no way she’d give her daughter’s lies away to the public..

Alice diverted her attention from her daughter to the lady who just spoke behind her, she snapped a brow at Vanessa..

“Wow! really?! have you also lost your mind just like this daughter of mine?!”

Vanessa shook her head in response to Alice’s question, she placed both hands on the older woman’s shoulder and guided her to take a seat on the bed which she reluctantly agreed to without creating a fuss..

Lora wondered what Vanessa was up to, her mum was difficult to deal with, she doubted if she’d listen to whatever Vanessa was planning to say..

Tomorrow was her engagement to Bryan, her big day, she really didn’t want this event to be called off, she’d be a laughing stock in the society and among her friends..

She didn’t want to go through that phase again just like she did when she broke up with Bryan..

Alice looked up to Vanessa who wore a calm smile on her face..

“Ma’am.. everything is fair in love and war, Lora only did that to get the man she had always wanted-

“By lying to him and everyone else?!” Alice said curtly startling Vanessa a bit..

But Vanessa didn’t plan to stop just there, she needed to persuade this woman a bit more..

“I know her approach was wrong! but she was left with no other choice other than to do that, and if you think that her crime is not forgiveable.. then take this”

Alice stared down at the phone outstretched to her in confusion, she raised her head back to meet Vanessa’s mischievous gaze..

“What for?”

“Give a call to Mr Alexander and tell him everything, tell him to call off the engagement ceremony.. and make your daughter a laughing stock once more”

Alice’s hands rubbed on her thighs, she has always been one who stood for the truth no matter what, but this involved her daughter’s life and she wasn’t going to jeopardize it..

Lora stared back and forth between her mum and Vanessa, she couldn’t believe her mum was really falling for this..

“Fine!”

Vanessa smiled like she had won a lottery, she turned back to Lora who breathed a deep sigh of relief..

“Thanks mum!” Lora exclaimed throwing herself into her mum’s arms..

Arya’s eyes widened when a message was relayed to her at the other end of the phone call.

“Really?! I’ll be there as soon as possible!” She sprang up to her feet ready to bolt out but was held back by Chloe..

“Is everything alright Arya?”

Arya shook her head “It’s Kyle.. he’s at our restaurant, I’ll be back before you know it.. in the meantime please take care of everything over here”.

Before Chloe could speak again, she already bolted from her reach..

“Come back quickly!”

Arya entered her office through her window, she looked around wondering where she had kept her clothes, which she kept here a few days back..

She was currently dressed up as Naomi and had to meet Kyle in a few minutes..

She pulled off her eye glasses and contact lenses, she took out a tissue out of its box with a shaky hand wiping off her makeup..

A little commotion outside her door caused her to freeze in place and before she could tell what was going on, the door pushed open as a tall figure stepped in..

Sam’s eyes almost popped out from its socket, he turned to Naomi who was also peeping into the room in horror..

Kyle’s eyes fell on the lady who had her back turned against him, he noticed she wasn’t making an attempt to move which he found a bit suspicious..

“I think we have a lot to talk about Arya”

Arya’s heart beat increased rapidly, this wasn’t supposed to happen yet, her gaze fell on the opened window across the room..

“Can you step out for a second?” she asked hopefully..

Kyle took notice of the eye glasses and blue contact lens on the desk and to top it all, some used up tissues were all over the floor covered in a brown substance..

His sharp brain summed everything up the next minute, he grabbed her shoulder and turned her around to face him..

To his amazement she raised her palm over her face which confirmed his doubts..

“Take your hands off!” he ordered..

Arya didn’t budge, she made an attempt to bolt out of the room but was quickly caught back with ease by Kyle..

He held her hands and in one swift motion, her face appeared before him, her eyes were tightly shut obviously not expecting this move from him..

“It’s you.. it has been you all along! –

Arya slowly opened her eyes, she didn’t miss the look of surprise and disbelief that crossed his face, she bit her bottom lip in embarrassment..

“I’m sorry Kyle, I really had no other choice than to do this.. I promise I didn’t do any of this to harm you”

“You’ve been pretending to be someone else under my roof? and you think this isn’t harmful to me?”

Arya pointed a finger to her chest with a small glare directed at him..

“I’m your wife Kyle! Arya Anderson! I’m not the real imposter here.. Charlotte is, I couldn’t stand to see you get close to her, I had to do something about it!”

Kyle closed his eyes briefly, he hated whatever it was that he was feeling right now..

He wanted to be extremely mad at her but he just couldn’t, an unknown feeling was stopping from doing so..

“You could have told me the truth!”

“How exactly?”

“Any form of explanation would have helped”

Kyle shook his head slowly and was about to leave when he heard her next words..

“You’re upset, I get it. I didn’t want you to find out about me this way but I had to do it either way.. please stop by at the theatre if you want to know the entire truth”

Kyle started walking and left the office leaving Arya..

Charlotte stared at the small white pills Sharon just brought in for her, the last one she had was taken out from where she had kept it..

“Ma’am I got it with great difficulty.. and it was quite expensive” Sharon relayed itching the back of her ear..

Charlotte opened her purse and pulled out a bundle of bills before tossing it to Sharon..

“Take that.. and find out what where she is at the moment, I’d like to know what she’s up to”

Sharon bowed and left the living room..

Charlotte gripped the bottle a little bit harder than necessary..

One way or another she was going to trap Kyle with her forever and no one can stop that from happening not even Naomi..
