“About the saw and the ketchup on it, you should ask your two kids about that.” Stella and Noah were still outside and scaring the others with the rest of the residents. But Stella slyly picked up a plastic chainsaw covered in ketchup, so there was no doubt that she had planned this.

They thought she wanted to scare the others, but she had no tools or props, so she did it herself. However, the girl didn’t think of the idea of the chainsaw being used to scare Hayden. It must have been Noah’s idea, Noah asked Joseph to bring him the chainsaw just before Hayden returned.

“You’ve spoiled them too much!”. Hayden rolled his eyes and touched his bump grumpily.

He gave a slight yelp, frowning in rebuttal. But when he saw Hayden’s sullen expression, he paused slightly. He seemed to remember something and fell silent.

When he was a kid, he liked to watch Addison’s parents argue. That’s why he often went to Addison’s house, he found the couple bickering from time to time, a little warm. He enjoyed the atmosphere of a noisy but warm family.

“What if you were to run into your old friends, would you feel ashamed?”

“I don’t feel embarrassed when they make fun of me. Instead, they should feel very embarrassed.” Joseph said casually. From his voice, he really didn’t care.

“So, would you like to attend the AW party with me? Cleveland invited me and I plan to be present. But if you go with me, you’ll have to see some ‘old friends’…”.

Joseph was silent.

Hayden was a little embarrassed to mention this matter, he knew he was very proud. After a long while, Hayden felt arms hugging her tighter. Then a deep voice was heard next to her ears.

“If I don’t go, who would you go with?”.

Hayden was stunned and hesitantly said, “Dante is the designer of the company, and it would be nice if he would attend the party to gain more popularity, however, he is very busy lately; Freddie must be with Cleveland; so Benjamin is the only one who could go with me.”

He continued talking without noticing that Joseph’s face had changed.
