The CEO’s little ones

Chapter 310

Chapter 310:.

As soon as he saw Sofia, Hayden understood why Belinda had arranged that meeting: the replacement of power required the presence of all members.

According to the shares, Sofia owned more shares than her by three percent, which meant that Sofia was the largest shareholder. In addition, she was also the Executive Director.

“Since I’m back, I think everyone agrees that I’m the boss. And you, Miss Downey, should leave this position.”

Sofia now looked cruel and grim, no longer looking hypocritical. She seemed to blame Hayden for all the suffering.

Hayden frowned and stood up, “Of course, you’re the boss.”

Sofia sat directly in Hayden’s chair.

Anna hurriedly gave Hayden a chair, which was silently criticized by Sofia.

“Besides, since I’m here, our company should run as usual. Hayden, I heard you had your own clothing company. Now you can focus on it because I will take care of the Downey Group.”

His words sparked discussion from the board.

After all, Hayden had made a great contribution to the Downey Group’s survival and, thanks to her, the company was now back on track.

They couldn’t treat Hayden so badly.

Listening to the discussion, Hayden was calm. In reality, he had little ambition for the Downey Group and was temporarily running the company this time.

“I agree with you.”

These days, she was so busy that she barely had time to take care of her children, so she was very glad to hear this. She attached little importance to wealth and power.

After the meeting, Hayden went back to the office and gathered her things to make room for Sofia.

After a few minutes, Sophia arrived, looking radiant with health, which made the others doubt whether she had suffered much as she claimed. But Hayden didn’t care so he kept quiet about it.

“I’m done. You can move in whenever you want.”

As Anna had helped move the boxes, Hayden was off to the side.

It was just Sofia and Hayden in the office.

Sofia looked at her coldly, “Why did you accept my decision so quickly, don’t you want the company? Or maybe you have another plan.”

“I’m not interested in the Downey Group. Besides, I have no legacy left. If you still have doubts about it, I can sell my share and the company will remain under your family’s full control.”

“You’re pretending.” Sofia scowled at her, “Don’t lie to me, I know he gave you the insurance with the billion plus money. He pretended he didn’t care about you, but in reality you were his favorite daughter. The only thing he left Chelsea and me with was the company at stake.”

The office seemed in a state of cold war.

Seeing Sofia’s desperation, Hayden found it ridiculous and was quiet for a while. Then he looked at Sofia, “As for my father’s death, you are not innocent.”

“What do you mean?” Sofia frowned anxiously.

“You’re right. My father gave me insurance. But do you know what he insured?” Hayden glared at her with a cruel look, as if from hell.

“An accidental death.” She continued, “So then I can get a billion in profit.”

Hayden looked stern.

“The fund I invested in the Downey Group is the legacy inherited from my mother, which keeps my aunt safe these years. You found the problem of the equity hole and ran away because you also doubt what your siblings have done these years behind you.”

Hayden did not receive the money as he had failed to get proof of his father’s accidental death, which referred to an unnatural death.

Sophia’s face gradually paled.

“You understand what I mean. And, besides, you know the cause of Chelsea’s death.” Hayden settled his belt on his shoulder.

“I can leave, but don’t bother me anymore.”

Sophia had been a poor woman since she lost her husband and daughter. Hayden didn’t want to blame her as long as she kept her nose clean. But who knew what she planned to do next?

As Hayden left the office, she found Joseph waiting at the door.

She was surprised, “Why are you here?”

“I don’t want to stay here now that you’re leaving.” He sounded calm, “But if you’re going to keep working here, I’ll stay too.”

“No, I won’t.”

Hayden took his hands.

“It’s okay.” Joseph touched his nose and said slowly, “It would be embarrassing for me to withdraw my resignation request if you had decided to stay.”

Hearing this, Hayden burst out laughing.

As they were leaving the building, Anna caught up with them.

“Miss Downey, are you leaving? Aren’t you coming back any more?”

“Yes, I’m leaving.” Hayden smiled at her, “But don’t worry, I know you can do a good job.”

“No.” Said Anna breathlessly, “Can I come with you? I want to be your assistant at Green Lemon Clothing.”

Hayden understood what she meant.noveldrama

Anna was her secretary and once Hayden left, she would be treated badly as Sofia would look for her faults and criticize her, even though Anna was actually a distant relative of Sofia.

“The salary at Green Lemon Clothing is not as high as the Downey Group. But if you still want…”.

“I want to!” Anna quickly replied, “I want to learn design. If you agree, I will start working at Green Lemon Clothing immediately.”

Hayden exchanged a knowing glance with Joseph and then smiled at Anna, “It’s okay, you can ask Dante. I think he needs an assistant.”

Anna’s eyes widened in surprise.

“I’ll ask him right now.”

Hayden looked at Anna who was walking away like the wind, and smiled meaningfully.

“Dante is lucky.”

Joseph took his hands and said, “You pay too much attention to other people instead of me.”

“Are you jealous of Anna?” Hayden rolled his eyes at him, “You know, I’ve lost my job, please buy me lunch.”

“I’ve reserved a table at a restaurant.” Joseph looked at her doubtfully, “But first I want to take you to meet someone.”
