Chapter 162
Chapter 162
When Ronan entered the office, Emerson was already waiting for him. With the year's end around the
corner, Emerson just got started, and he'd got a lot on his plate.
"Ronan, what's up with your mouth? Did Cordelia bite you? Did you two have a big fight last night?"
Emerson teased Ronan.
Ronan was aware of the mark on his mouth since he woke up this morning.
"Not just the mouth, right? Got some on your body too?" Emerson continued to tease him. "Cordelia is
really something. But with what happened yesterday, you should be the one pissed off, right? How
come she's the one who's mad?" Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
"How do you know she doesn't have any?" Ronan shot back.
Emerson scratched his head. "I didn't see, nor did I hear. But I heard your quarrel."
"Got anything to say? Spit it out." Ronan switched back to business.
He walked to his desk, put down his stuff, took out a cigarette, and lit it. Emerson opened the file and
reported the work situation to him.
After Ronan proposed a few changes, Emerson went back to his office. There was a knock on the door
again.
"Come in," said Ronan.
In came Samantha.
Ronan met her yesterday and knew she was Cordelia's cousin. But he didn't know her name. "You're
Cordelia's cousin, right?"
"Yes, Mr. Evans." Samantha puffed up her chest, looking resolute. She was hopeful, thinking, “If Ronan
breaks up with Cordelia and starts a relationship with her, maybe, just maybe, they could develop
feelings for each other.”
Ronan, he was really handsome. The kind of handsome that made a woman lose her mind!
"Can I help you with something?"
"I saw you coming out with Cordelia. As her relative, I'm concerned about her future, and I suggest you
break up with her. I don't want my sister to be in this predicament. She's married! You shouldn't put her
in this situation, being the target of everyone's criticism."
"What are you trying to say?" Ronan asked with a frown.
"You shouldn't be having that kind of relationship with her! How will the people in the company see her?
Her husband? They were about to clear up their misunderstanding and watch the fireworks together.
But with you doing this, how can she face her husband?" Samantha said solemnly.
Ronan frowned slightly. "Where do you live?"
Samantha thought, why was Ronan suddenly interested in where she lived? Did he have an interest in
her too?
"I live at my cousin's place." Samantha wasn't sure if Ronan knew Adrian.
"Adrian?"
"Yes."
"Tell him he needs to deal with the cable TV. The mobile company called me. Here's the Property
Deed. Give it to him," Ronan said, pulling out a Property Deed from the drawer. Then, he extinguished
his cigarette in the ashtray. "For the details, ask your cousin. I'm busy."
After being dismissed by Ronan, Samantha felt a bit embarrassed. From Ronan's words, she felt that
he wasn't very pleased with her.
Samantha was a bit confused about Ronan's words. What did Adrian's house have to do with him?
What was it that Ronan said to ask Adrian about?
Holding the Property Deed, Samantha didn't dare to look at it for a moment.
Once she got in the elevator, she opened the Property Deed. Clearly written on it were the
homeowners, Ronan and Cordelia.
Samantha's mind was in a whirl. What did this mean? Could a mistress appear on the Property Deed?
It seemed that Cordelia got quite a lot from Ronan.
