The Cursed Wolf’s Love

Sleep with me

Iris was unable to react to Adolphus’ statements. Why were his statements so intimidating and confusing?

“Master Adolphus, let me help you take you to the bed.” At the moment, it was best for Iris to avoid his drunk talks. She gently held his arm and to her surprise, he let her. She stood by his side and put her arm over his shoulder. Her other hand went to his back as she started to walk, dragging Adolphus with her.

“Didn’t you bring dinner for me?” Adolphus asked her. She could feel that his lips were merely inches away from her skin.

Her fingers clutched his shirt on his back, and she replied, “I think Master Adolphus must take a rest.”

“Hmm. Tell me, why did you smile at Radulf? Why did you let him see you dance?” Adolphus again landed on the same question.

“I did not know that Prince Radulf would watch me dance. I didn’t know that he was the prince until I saw him in the great dining hall,” Iris replied, “pardon me,” she immediately apologized.

“Iris, I hate it when other men cast a glance at you. It makes my blood boil.” His husky deep voice fell into her ears. Her breath hitched when Adolphus swirled her and their eyes locked. Those green eyes, which would charm anyone, once again fixated on hers.

“Let’s have a dance, Iris. I looked for you everywhere in the ballroom, but I could not find you,” Adolphus said. His breath hit her lips and her eyes fluttered. She was so close to him that it made her heart race. It was strange, right?

“Her Majesty asked me to help the other servants,” Iris answered. “I saw Master Adolphus on the grand stage of the ballroom,” she asserted.

“I wanted to have my first dance with you, Iris,” Adolphus said.

“With me?” Iris gaped at him. “But, why? I don’t think a lowly servant like me can dance with the Crown Prince,” she murmured and lowered her eyes for a brief moment.

“You are not a lowly servant,” Adolphus said in a hoarse voice. “You are Iris Vinsant,” he reminded her. She peered at him once again, wondering what he meant by that.

Adolphus slowly moved his hand to Iris’ left hand and held her hand. “Place your hand over my shoulder, Iris,” he urged. Iris blinked to hear him for a few seconds and then complied with him. His left hand went to her back as he pulled her up.

“Master,” she whispered, and closed her eyes when Adolphus moved his head to her ear.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Follow my moves, Iris,” he whispered. His lips brushed her earlobe and she felt her body burn. Her body moved automatically with Adolphus’, and she tried not to step on his shoes. But since it was her first time, she ended up stepping over his shoes one after the other. The series of apologies started when Adolphus stopped.

He looked at her again and said, “Let’s take off our shoes.”

Iris nodded, and they removed their respective shoes. Adolphus kicked them away and asked Iris to step over his feet.

“I cannot do that, Master Adolphus. It is wrong to-” she paused when Adolphus pressed his index finger on her lips.

“Just do as I say, Iris,” he stated and lowered his hand. He rested it on her back while Iris put her feet on top of his.

Iris and Adolphus started to dance again and he taught Iris the couple dance. “I never let any woman dance with me. So, you are indeed a special woman to me,” he stated.

Iris bit her bottom lip, unable to understand what to say. She had the idea by now that she was not merely a servant to Adolphus, but more than that. He was attracted to her when he should not.

“You are as light as a feather, Iris,” Adolphus stated.

“I am glad that I didn’t crush Master Adolphus’ feet under my feet’s weight,” Iris answered. “Master Adolphus shall go to bed. It is late at night. I have to wake up early too.” She thought he would let her go, but she was wrong.

“I will sleep after making you learn the dance. Also, I want you to sleep with me in the same bed,” Adolphus said. His lips curled into a smile.

“Pardon me?” Iris widened her eyes in shock.

“I am your master, Iris,” Adolphus stated. “I want to cuddle you while sleeping,” he muttered.

“I am afraid, but I cannot do that,” Iris replied, averting her gaze from him.

“You will be punished if you don’t listen to my command,” Adolphus stated.

“I will willingly take the punishment, Master Adolphus,” Iris answered, and looked into his eyes.

Adolphus ended up smiling at hearing her. “This is what I like about you. You don’t listen to me. You don’t fear death, and it is what makes me interested in you,” he asserted. They had stopped dancing. Iris moved her feet to the floor when Adolphus carried her up.

“Master!” She was again shocked to see his reaction.

Adolphus started walking towards the bedchamber while Iris kept requesting him to put her down. He gently put her on the mattress, and pulled up the blanket to cover her up. He told her that he would not do anything to her as he slid into the blanket beside her.

Iris moved to the other side when Adolphus said, “I had told you this earlier too. Nothing will happen until you want it to happen,” he stated, and kissed the middle of her forehead. He moved away and snuggled her close. Iris’s back hit his chest and her heart palpitated.

“You lit up my lonely world, Iris,” he mumbled, and he drifted off to sleep.

Iris was astonished to hear his words. Adolphus was lonely, and she ended up bringing warmth to him. She had never thought that there would be someone who would ever say something like this to her. She also felt secure in his arms, but she could not let her heart build any feelings towards him, which would never be reciprocated.
