"Ahem. I just remembered that I have something to do. I'll be going now."

"Me too. Forgot to collect my laundry before I left."

"My wife told me to take care of the kids-"

"Bullshit. Where'd you find a wife?"

"J-Just now...?"

The crowd was restless, as they sensed from Sienna's tone over the phone that Cloudnine Sect would come for them..

And when they do, Kornac's Keep, Frank, and even innocent participants would be in deep trouble.

Fleeing was therefore the best thing to do here, or even bystanders like them would get caught in the crossfire.

However, while Horey presumed that Frank would drop his facade and flee at her mentor's threat, she found him standing there nonchalantly, as if he had never heard Sienna.

"You asked for this!" she growled through her teeth and told Sienna the phone, "It's this scumbag named Frank Lawrence! He's strong... stronger than Kairo, and butchered him savagely! You have to avenge him, Master Noirot!"

Yosil was at once anxious when Horey mentioned Frank by name, but Frank stopped him before he could reach Horey.

"It's alright." Frank smiled at him. "I'd actually love to see what Cloudnine Sect can do!"

"Hah! You're going to die!"

Horey shot Frank a look of cool glee, as Kairo had been a prodigy treasured in Cloudnine Sect.

And now that Frank killed him, Cloudnine Sect would not let Kairo's death go unanswered.

And yet, even as Horey smirked, what Sienna said over the phone left her expression stiffening.

bygones be bygones. Remember to never insult him, because none of you would survive, do you understand? Also, I have things to do. That's all I have to say.

And with that, Sienna hung up, leaving the entire scene silent.

It was not just Horey-even the rowdy crowd that was ready to turn and flee were all left standing there and looking backward at Frank in disbelief.

The elders of Kornac's Keep were all trading glances in astonishment as well, not entirely sure what had just happened.

Only Yosil had a look of realization on his face, as Cloudnine Sect would not want to upset Frank because of his father, the Lord of the Southern Woods.

"Master?! Master!!!"

Horey was completely caught off guard, holding her phone in disbelief.

She glanced between Frank and the puddle of green pus in the distance.

After all, their mentor had always thought highly of Kairo for his gifts-it would not be exaggeration to say that he was spoiled. As such, it would be logical to think that Sienna would go all out to avenge his death, or at least retaliate to maintain the honor of Cloudnine Sect.

So why did Sienna give up so quickly after hearing Frank's name, even telling Horey to go down on her

knees to apologize, while forbidding them from provoking Frank any further?!
