Chapter 2003
"What? She's the chief of Zamri Hospital?"
The young police officer appeared surprised but soon snorted after glancing at Winter. "None of your assurances mean a thing. Frank Lawrence has murdered Geon Kramer, the Zamri commissioner, and that's a fact!
"Considering how serious this crime is, the Martial Alliance has put him on their most wanted list, and everyone from the police to the bounty hunters are on the move. He'll definitely get caught, while anyone still siding with him might be pressed charges too."
And with that, the police officers left, since they did not actually find anything of value in Lanecorp Tower.
It was obvious that Frank had left Zamri.
But on that very day, the leader of every governing body on the east coast and the Martial Alliance sent all the people they had, all of them focused on arresting Frank.
All of the east coast was shaken, as even famous martial artists and Blackranks were out looking for Frank, as they were all interested in the Martial Alliance's bounty on him.
Meanwhile, on Waver Street in Morhen, Frank was not hiding or covering his tracks after leaving Zamri. In fact, he was not even concerned about his own safety-he was only focused on finding the truth behind Geon's death soon.
As such, he sneaked off to the liveliest spot in Morhen, right under the nose of the Martial Alliance.
If anyone knew that he was not fleeing and instead going straight into the Martial Alliance's turf, their jaws would certainly drop!
Nevertheless, Frank was not just loitering around he was here to see Juno Enigma, the information broker who stood at the top of Blackrank.
Arriving at her tavern, Frank heard her coquettish laugher just as she quietly sat beside him. "Aren't you worried I'd capture you and claim your bounty from the Martial Alliance?"
"Do you know anything about Geon Kramer's death?" Frank asked bluntly, ignoring her joke as he never liked chit-chatting.
"Oh..."
Juno rubbed her temples, pouting. "You're always like this, so direct when it's me... You're going to upset me, y'know."
Frank turned, staring at her broad grin a moment and then at her deliberately flaunted cleavage the next.Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
Sighing exasperatedly, he said, "Just tell me what I have to trade for that information."
"But there's nothing to trade."
Juno pouted, shrugging as she leaned on his shoulder and giggled. "I don't even know who did it. I don't have clairvoyance, you see."
"Y-You don't know?
Frank did a double take-this was the first time he found Juno stumped.
"Hey, what do you take me for?"
Juno twirled her finger around Frank's chest, giggling charmingly. "Why would pay my undivided attention to someone as unimportant as the Zamri
someone is out to get you, which is why they're blowing things out of proportion. The bottom line is, it's just a commissioner!"

You know that every police commissioner represents the government, and killing one is a declaration of war against the government!"
"Exactly."
Juno giggled. "Being implicated in a commissioner's death makes you an enemy of the state. Now take guess is there anyone who would really like that to happen to you?"
"The Lionhearts?"

Frank rubbed his chin as he frowned in thought. "No. I know for a fact that they want the spiritron vein and are trying their best to keep things quiet."
