The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2169

"Alright, that's enough," Frank spoke up again. "Stop fighting-let's get started now."

Ida and Sadie promptly stopped arguing and sat on the couch, crossing their legs.

Frank did not start their training, however, and began with theory.

It was certainly amusing as neither Sadie nor Ida were one for theories. While they could hold on at first, they were soon yawning one after another.

"Why don't we stick to sparring, master?" Sadie suggested, feeling apologetic.

"True. Learning theories through actual practice would be better than forgetting about the lesson," Ida said in agreement.

Frank sighed in exasperation-his own training had been way more difficult than this.noveldrama

Still, he had no choice since training was more effective when tailored for the individual.

Getting to his feet, he said, "Alright, let's head outside."

They arrived at the foot of the hill, and Frank kept one hand behind his back while beckoning at them. "Both of you, come at me at once!"

Sadie and Ida traded glances but quickly resolved themselves and leapt toward Frank.

They were no match for him, however, as he floored them with a punch each.

As Sadie rubbed her rear as she got up, she exclaimed, "There's such a huge gap between us. Isn't there another way to get better quicker?" Frank shook his head. "There are no shortcuts to training, only hard work."

Sadie sighed but did not appear deflated as she attacked Frank again.

Ida did not give in either, quickly pushing herself to her feet and rejoined the fray. Nheless, neither of them could land a blow on Frank even as the sun set. Wiping the sweat off her brown, Sadie asked, "How did you become so strong?" "Hard work and nothing else," Frank replied.

Sadie sighed in exasperation. "How much hard work would it take from my level?"

Frank chuckled. "You've both done well, improving considerably over the afternoon."

It was a fact and not encouragement-as he had thought, their cultivation could improve despite being granted it.

That naturally made things easier, as those thugs in the group would prove useful!

Even as the thought crossed his mind, his phone rang-it was a call from Meg.

"What happened?" He quickly asked as he answered the call.

"Sorry to bother you, Mr. Frankton, but there's some trouble here. Please help me you're the only one who can!"

She was stammering, making it clear that it was serious.

"Alright, just hold on. I'll be right there."

Frank promptly returned into the village to get the keys.

He would drive to Golden Lily on his own, but considering that he had been drinking around noon, he decided that he should not drive.

Finding Sadie and Ida, he asked, "Can either of you drive?"

"Yes!" both answered at once.

"Good. Then come with me."

They got into an Audi A6 and drove

Baldie, their leader, was pointing at Meg with a baseball bat and smirking. "You're the one who bullied my brother, huh?"

Meg snorted coolly. "Are you drunk? Then leave, and stop making a scene."

Baldie laughed. "Don't even think that I'm that stupid. You're keeping me talking just to buy time! But it doesn't matter, since I'm here not for you mostly. I'm here for that pretty boy."
