Chapter 201
Did Harold mention Wealthwave Group? These herbs were actually supposed to be supplied to them.
Matthew immediately dialed Rachel's number. "Healthline Pharmaceutical sold the herbs from our partner farmers to Eastorians, Rae. Send someone to check the statuses of all our partner farmers." Rachel was in the middle of a meeting, but upon hearing Matthew's words, she jumped to her feet.
These herbs were crucial for the production of drugs in the coming year. If the raw materials were taken away, the project would be screwed.
"I'll get someone to investigate this matter right away."
After hanging up, Rachel went to the driver's seat and took the key.
Time passed by slowly. In the meantime, Mason's condition was getting better and better, but Harold was still uneasy.
"How about we get out of here? We shouldn't cause any trouble. I'm afraid he'll have someone come after us."Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
Matthew wanted to find out more about Nelson. "You may not know who I am, but I know Nelson, your father, who works in the medical field. I'm here to see him.
"Word got out that Nelson went missing, so I want to look into it. His disappearance was sudden, just like how people suddenly show up to buy your herbs. This might be a clue."
Matthew had an inkling that Nelson's disappearance was somehow connected to the Eastorians.
Things suddenly clicked for Harold. "I always thought your medical skills were exceptional, and you remind me of my dad. It turns out you're both in the medical field.
"Since you put it like that, are you saying the people who took the herbs and kidnapped my dad are the Eastorians?"
Matthew wasn't planning to keep Harold in the dark. "This is just my speculation."
Harold crouched on the ground as if lost in thought. On the other hand, Mason started pacing around the area. Every so often, he'd turn back and glance at Caron before resuming his pacing. This went on for about ten minutes until Mason suddenly bent down to grab a stick from the ground and charged toward Caron. He then began to beat Caron with it.
As Mason hit Caron, Mason shouted, "You bastard! Where did you take my grandpa?"
Caron was at a loss. "I don't know Nelson. Stop it, or you'll pay for it later."
Seeing this, Harold tried to stop Mason, but Matthew stopped him. "Just let Mason hit Caron. Bottling it up isn't good. He'll feel better after venting his anger."
Harold was taken aback by Matthew's statement and was worried about the consequences of Mason beating up someone.
"If beating Caron up would get us the information we need, I'd gladly do it too. But this won't fix any problem."
With each strike, Mason put in more strength, hitting harder and harder.
The pain was too much for Caron, and he started pleading, "Please, stop. I studied abroad in Eastoria ten years ago, and I haven't been around. How would I know Nelson? Stop hitting me! It hurts."
Mason ceased hitting Caron and sharply asked, "Were there Eastorians here ten years ago?"
Huddled in the corner with his arms around himself, Caron replied, "15 years ago, Ozenia Charity built a high school. The Eastorians started their charity in Lamda at that time."
Mason turned to look at Matthew, then raised his stick again. "What are you doing here?"
Terrified, Caron shieled his head.
"Don't hit me. I'm here for charity
Just a few days ago, I held a
medical conference to help the poor.
I'm really doing charity work

Mason spat on Caron's face and Caron shut his eyes when the phlegm landed on his face. Furious, he clenched his teeth, wishing he could tear Mason apart.
Soon, he started begging again. "Spare me. I'm from Strego. We're both from the same place."
Was Caron really from the same hometown as Mason? The surrounding spectators hurled insults and clamored.
