The Invincible Arthur Gardner

Chapter 50 - A Taste of the East

Chapter 50 - A Taste of the East

Alicia opened the door to her apartment, her face lighting up with happiness as she jumped inside and

turned to face Arthur.

"Welcome to my new home, Arthur Oppa," she said. "Come on in!"

Arthur smiled, then stepped into the room, which was one floor wide. The setting of the room was a

combination of minimalism and modernity, complete with a wide range of facilities that allowed

someone to live comfortably, although it wasn't as expensive and luxurious as his room in the Golden

Chamber.

"Did you spend all the money I gave you to buy this apartment room, Alicia?" Arthur asked, trailing after

her as they approached a set of sofas near a large-looking glass that overlooked the building and the

city beyond.

"Aren't you spending your money too much?" he continued, settling into the sofa next to her.

"Why?" Alicia smiled. Her expression was friendly. "At least I didn't spend tens of billions of dollars to

rescue a damsel in distress, did I?" she replied, her laughter bubbling up.

"But...," Alicia interjected, quickly throwing her hands up to show she was only joking. "I'm just kidding,

Arthur Oppa... I know you didn't do it for that purpose. Moreover, I'm sure Claudina is not a woman you

can buy with money..."

Arthur leaned back into the plush comfort of the sofa, basking in the warm sunlight that streamed

through the wide window in front of him.

"And how did you feel when Claudina expressed her love for you in front of millions of people, Oppa?"

Alicia asked, a wide smile illuminating her face.

"Why are you asking the same thing Edna asked?" he replied.

"Is Edna your lovely personal assistant?" she added, her face lighting up with excitement. "I want to

know her too... She is very beautiful and charming."

"Sure," Arthur said, turning to Alicia. "You'll be working with her a lot after accepting my offer to work for

me too."

"Hum!" Alicia answered with a sweet nod. Her glossy black hair cascaded forward, framing her soft

white face, which was delicate and radiant.

With her half-Asian blood, Alicia looked even younger than her nineteen years of age. She usually

acted like a child, but she could be very stern and assertive when someone dared to provoke her. She

was able to completely conceal her ferocity behind her soft, cute, and harmless appearance.

Alicia then stood up, her wavy hair slightly covering her face. "Arthur Oppa," she began. "I have

prepared some Korean food for you. Would you like to have lunch with me?"

"Korean food?" Arthur replied. "Sure, sounds good!" He then stood up and followed Alicia to the dining

table.

Arthur then seated himself at the dining table, where Alicia was seen bustling about, preparing their

lunch for that afternoon.

"Wow, did you make all this food, Alicia?" he asked, astonished.

"Ha!" Alicia was taken aback, then she turned to Arthur with a wide-eyed, innocent expression.

However, she quickly broke into a light chuckle. "Do you think I'm Claudina that has a heavenly voice

and is even good at cooking?" she asked, her voice full of amusement.

"I can only kick a man in the face, and talk sweetly when I'm a vtuber," she added.

Arthur smiled at Alicia's words and said, "I think that's why I'm offering you the job, right?"

When she had finished preparing their lunch, she grabbed a small bowl and chopsticks before asking,

"Arthur, Oppa, have you ever eaten Korean food?"

"Huh?" Arthur replied, taken aback, "I think this will be my first experience eating Korean food."

Alicia grinned in delight and began to point out the various types of food. "This is Kimchi - fermented

vegetables. We Koreans really can't eat without this thing, haha."

He picked up the fermented vegetables and tried them, feeling a strange sensation when he ate them.

"Are you guys really eating this thing?"

Alicia couldn't help but laugh, seeing Arthur's response. "You have to eat it with other foods, you know."

She then pointed toward another dish. "This is Jajangmyeon - noodles with black bean sauce. I'm sure

you will like it."

Alicia enthusiastically explained every food on the dining table, which was quite a lot. "This is Bulgogi -

marinated beef," she said as she helped take the meat with chopsticks and fed it to Arthur.

He accepted it and immediately nodded, feeling that the food was really very good on his tongue. "I

think Asian food has a rich and quite unique taste, huh?" Arthur said while continuing to taste every

dish that was served by Alicia.

"Sure, Oppa," she said, then looked at Arthur with fierce eyes but, even though she still looked cute,

"how can someone as rich as you have never eaten Korean food? You are really weird."

Alicia had an amazing day with Arthur; it was a moment she had never experienced before. She felt

incredibly comfortable being close to him, not worrying about being treated with disrespect. Arthur

didn't look at her with a lecherous gaze, unlike other men.

Arthur also enjoyed the afternoon they spent together, remarking on Alicia's cheerful personality and

her ability to dominate conversations. She had a knack for finding interesting topics to discuss, never

missing a beat as her mouth kept talking and laughing. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

"Woahh...." Alicia beamed with satisfaction as she finished most of the lunch. She then covered her

mouth with the back of her hand, turned her head to the left, and let out a burp.

"You really are a lady of sophistication, aren't you?" Arthur chuckled.

"Ah... Sorry Oppa," she turned back to him, laughing lightly. "I just couldn't help myself."

"It's alright," Arthur answered casually. "I'm happy if you can be yourself around me; I'd much rather

that."

"I'm so glad you accompanied me to my new place of residence today," she said with a cheerful

expression. "I'm really very happy." She nodded emphatically.

Alicia and Arthur quickly cleared the dining table, with Alicia still chattering as she worked. They

washed the dishes together, working very well together.

Just as they were about to settle down for the day, watching a movie, a siren flashed in the corner of

the room.

"Huh?" Alicia looked surprised and changed the screen to the CCTV view. "What happened?" She

seemed shocked to see dozens of men in black suits forcing their way into the apartment area.

"Who are they?" she asked.
