The Mafia Bride (Katrina and Silas)

Chapter 79

Katrina's POV

I walked into the classroom, spotting him almost immediately. The unfortunate soul who Silas had planned on kidnapping.

He sat near the window, leaning back in his chair like he owned the place.

His dark hair was styled perfectly, and his sharp features made clear why the girls around him couldn't stop staring.

And I was supposed to get close to him, lead him outside the gates where Silas' men would be ready to get him.

I had asked Silas if I would keep going to school after the kidnapping and he ignored the question

I wasn't sure of the answer myself.

If someone sees me walking out with Aiden' before he gets kidnapped, I could be a suspect,

A new student kidnaps another on her first day of school.

I could already imagine the headlines that would be going around after the kidnapping

And I wasn't ready to be on the run; I would get caught immediately after I started.

I took my attention back to Aiden, scanning the girls who fawned over them

One of those girls was impossible to miss-a tall blonde with a perfect figure and a face that belonged on a billboard. Okay. It seems we got ourselves a Barbie.

She laughed loudly at something Aiden had said, her hand brushing his arm like it was her right.

Was she his girlfriend or what?

Either way, it seems like she is going to be a problem if she's always around him.

Unless we could kidnap her as well, then it was no problem.

All I needed was to get close to Aiden and lead Jim outside; it shouldn't be that hard.

I took a deep breath, gathering my courage as I walked over to where they sat.

"Hi," I said, my voice steady despite just how nervous I was.

A pair of blue eyes belonging to the blond girl snapped to me immediately, irritation filling her face as she gave me a once-

Over

The guy glanced at me, raising an eyebrow.

He had never seen me before, and yet I was here trying to talk to him in front of how many other people.

could feel their gaze burning into my back but I tried to ignore it.

Most of these kids were younger than I was, paying them any attention made no sense.

waited for Aiden to speak, standing there awkwardly as I stared at them.

Sefore he could respond, the blonde cut in

"Who are you?" She asked, eyes raking over r my outfit.

But before I could reply, she threw a remark my way, her lips pulling into a smirk.

"Wait, don't tell me you're one of the charity cases they let in to meet the quotas." Her laughter was sharp and cruel, and her friends joined in like a pack of hyenas. Lame.

Was that supposed to hurt me? I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

Such remarks would only hurt if I was like thirteen.

"Yes," I replied, ignoring her and focusing on him. "I wanted to talk to you for a moment."

He looked mildly curious, but before he could say anything, the blonde rolled her eyes and spoke again.

into a fake smile

"Anything you need to say, you can say it here," she said, her lips curving into a fake smile.

How desperate could she be to keep butting into his affairs?

I wasn't even certain what I wanted to tell him, just wanted to get him out of the classroom.

But what would I do after that?

It's not like I could say, 'Follow me, and he would.

But they seemed curious now, and I couldn't just say never mind and escape.

Maybe I should have waited for a few days before I did this, but I was here already

"Why being so quiet! You mute now?" Blondie quipped, flipping her hair back as she blinked her eyes at me.

"If you don't want to say why you decided to talk to Aiden on your first day of school, then you leave,"

I clenched my jaw, holding back the urge to snap

"It's private." I said firmly, my gaze locked on his

The blonde huffed, crossing her arms. "Listen, I don't know who you think you are,

"Blair," the guy interrupted, his voice calm but commanding. "It's fine."Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

but-

Blair? Of course, she had a name like that.

Just one sentence was enough to shut her up, and I smiled at her

She looked annoyed but stepped back, her sharp eyes glaring at me as if I'd personally offended her

Before I could say another word to him, a voice rang out from the doorway.

"Take your seats."

I froze, my heart sinking.

That voice

No, no.

AK 66%

There was no way he was going to be here, no fucking way.

And yet, I couldn't ignore the obvious sign

Turning toward the door, my stomach twisted into knots.

Silas

He walked in with his head up, his hair slicked back. He had unbuttoned his sleeves and the first two buttons of his shirt.

He looked hot, really attractive.

Like whatever hot snack you could think of fresh out of the oven

And I wasn't the only one who thought that,

The whispers started immediately from all around us.

"Is that our substitute professor?"

"Who is he He's so hot.

Even Blair seemed to be eyeing him, completely forgetting about Aiden.

His eyes roamed over the students, clearly searching for me. I couldn't move, couldn't breathe until his dark eyes found

His eyes flickered to Aiden, who was still sitting, and then back to my face.

"Well, well," Silas said, smirking. "Miss Katrina, already making trends, I see.

Blair Turned to look at me, her suspicion growing as Silas's attention stayed locked on me.

I wanted to disappear, but there was no escape.

Silas smirked again, his tone casual but cutting. "This should be an interesting lesson." "Everyone. I'm your substitute teacher,"
