At that, she yanked her arm free from Noah's grip and rubbed the sore spot, saying icily, "You can put your grandfather's medical bills on my account. I'll cover them, but as for giving you money, that's never going to happen, you disgusting freeloader!"
The word "freeloader" made Noah furious. He glared a Samantha with resentment, then lunged forward, wrapping his hands around her neck. Samantha reacted quickly, kicking him hard in the stomach. Noah doubled over in pain, but when he regained his breath, he charged at her again. "Samantha, I'm going to kill you!"
They began to wrestle violently in the hospital room.
Meanwhile, Finley and Elain were at the supermarket, shopping for snacks for Samantha. Elain carefully examined the snack aisle and asked, "Mr. Dean, what kind of snacks do you think Samantha would like?"
"She's not picky," Finley replied, but despite his words, he picked out the most expensive snacks on the shelf and placed them in his basket.
Compared to Finley's selection, the snacks Elain had chosen were much cheaper. Feeling awkward, she put hers back. "Mr. Dean, you keep saying she's not picky, but you're only choosing the priciest ones for her."
Finley's expression remained indifferent. "That's because I want her to have the best. She may not be picky, but I am. I don't want her eating cheap, unhealthy food."
"Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it tastes better"
"At least it's healthier than the cheap stuff," Finley replied with a quirked brow, continuing to fill the basket with high-end snacks. Before long, the prince of the few items he'd chosen had already totaled in the thousands. While Elian could afford it, if Finley kept going, she wasn't sure she could keep up.
Elain followed him, glancing nervously at the price tags on the items. She was stunned. A small bag of snacks cost several hundred dollars. Unable to contain herself, she spoke up, "Mr. Dean, I don't think it's good for Samantha to eat too many snacks. How about we buy her some fruit instead? It's important for patients to eat fruit and get their vitamins."
Finley nodded in agreement, and they headed over to the fruit section. While Elain was busy picking bananas, Finley was selecting fruit that cost over a hundred dollars a pound, shocking Elain. "Mr. Dean, what about these blueberries? They're good for vision. How about we get some for Samantha?"
Finley nodded again but continued to pick the most expensive fruit available. Elain's heart sank as she imagined the cost piling up.
After they finished with the fruit, Elain watched as Finley headed over to where the toothbrushes, towels, and pajamas were sold, picking out the most luxurious items for Samantha. The shopping cart wasn't overflowing, but the price had already climbed to nearly ten thousand dollars.
Elain nervously swallowed as she followed Finley to the checkout. He had already taken out his card when she tried to sound polite, "Mr. Dean, we agreed that I'd buy the snacks and fruit for Samantha, so let me pay for these."

She expected him to refuse, but instead, Finley simply turned to the cashier and said, "Ring up the snacks and fruit under her. I'll pay for everything else separately."
