The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

Chapter 3 Don’t flatter Me,Yet

Wayne walked into Grandfather’s sitting room and sat down. He had requested to see him alone.

Not with Aiden, but just him.

Wayne didn’t need anyone to tell him what his conversation with the old man is going to be. It’s definitely going to be about his grandson, Wayne’s Boss.

He stood up to greet Grandfather when he saw him walk into the sitting room. Then he sat back down after the old man was seated.

“It’s been long since you last invited me over alone, grandfather. Is every thing okay?” Wayne asked and the old man looks at him.

“Is it?” He questioned him back and Wayne look at him, confused.

“Huh ? Sorry..”

Grandfather didn’t respond immediately as he adjusted his chair and wave at Wayne to come closer. Wayne obeyed and sat on the couch, closer to the old man.

“Aiden is not here, so you can be free to tell me the truth. Is everything okay with My grandson?”

Wayne swallowed as he tries to understand what grand father is talking about.

“Nothing is wrong with Aiden, Grandfather. Why? Did you heard anything again?”

“That’s not it. If nothing is wrong with him, then tell me, is he seeing anyone that he doesn’t want me to know? Maybe he’s afraid I won’t approve of his relationship with her . Tell me the truth Wayne.”

Wayne chuckles and push himself not to laugh at the words of the old man. He don’t blame him for being worried about Aidan’s marital status though.

Every responsible family member will also be worried about the same thing.

“With your words, Aiden is still doing his 3 days hang out?”

Wayne laughs and nods. “Yes, grandfather.”

“When you told him I’m going to take the company away from him, what did he say? He freaked out huh!? ”

“He didn’t say much” Wayne lied, he have forgotten to give Aiden that message and he’ll sure tell him once he gets out of here.

“That pathetic old man!” Grandfather cursed and this made Wayne smile even more.

How can an old man be calling someone as young as Aiden an old man too? Making it looks like Aiden is older.

“I’m setting up blind dates for him again. You have to make him attend to every single one of them.”

“Blind dates? Grandfather, you know Aiden better. He told you he’s not ready to go on a date, do you think he’ll ever get serious with any of this set up dates of yours? He’ll just waste their time as usual”

“Who’s talking about him dating any of them? He should find the perfect one to make a baby with!”

Wayne coughs as the words of this old man seems to choke him right under his throat.

Grandfather didn’t say another word, he just look at Wayne and pushes a glass of water towards him.

“You should drink some water.”

Wayne obeyed and drank the water, dropping the glass cup back on the table. Wayne looks at grandfather, now paying much more attention to him.

“A baby!?” Wayne asked and grandfather nods.

“He said he don’t want to date, he’s not interested in getting much intimate with a lady. He’s not planning to get married, what do I do! I need a grand child”

“Grandpa, it’s not like you’re dying tomorrow”

“Shut up!” Grandfather said and raised his stick in an attempt to him with it but Wayne shifted away from him.

“You think making a baby with a random lady is okay? It’s just like having an illegitimate child. And he says he’s focused on the company, do you think he’ll be able to take care of the baby?”

“I don’t care how he do that Wayne! I’m setting up the date. I’ll inform my personnel assistant to help me set up with these rich ladies, people who are of his standard”

Wayne didn’t want to argue further so he just nodded.

“What if Aiden is not interested in any of these?”

“Then I’ll make him end up in the streets with absolutely nothing” Grandfather chuckles and Wayne shakes his head.

This both old men are losing it!.

“I’ll inform him about your request , grandfather.”

“You should pay attention to him now more than ever. I’ll inform you after I set up the dates for him. Make sure he always go to each date and he shouldn’t try to play arrogant!”

Wayne nods and bow. “I’ll leave now, grandfather. Expecting to meet you in the office on Thursday”

Without waiting for the old man’s reply. Wayne walks out of the house. Once he’s outside, he pulls out his phone and call the office secretary.

“Hello”

“Help me check on Aiden’s evening schedule” Wayne told her.

“Hang on in a minute, sir.”

There was silence as Wayne still placing the phone on his ear, walks into the car and get in.

“Hey. He’s to have a dinner date with Blossom. That’ll be in a hour time”

“Okay thank you.” Wayne disconnected the call and place his phone back into his pocket then he turns to the chauffer.

“Drive to boss’s penthouse”

Back at Grandfather’s house, the old man happily calls onto his personal assistant who’s always next to him.

“Are you feeling okay sir?”

“Yeah. Get me my drugs from my room and come sit, I’ll be needing you to help with lot of things.”

“Just two minutes sir.” He walks away.

Grandfather lean back comfortably on the sofa and smile. He can’t let Aiden be a pain in the ass, he’s already trying to be.

Aiden is his only grandson, and now he’s refusing to get married or have a serious affair with ladies more like giving people negative thoughts to believe he’s either gay, or something is wrong with his body.

Grandfather no longer care if he gets married at all or not. All he wish for is that he makes him a grandchild.

He don’t want to know how he will do that, but he hopes he does just that. Having a child, whether a son or a daughter will really pin him down.

It’s not always about running the company and making money. He needs to make his own family too.

Tihana walked into the sitting room the next morning, she had woken up feeling very tired and really yearns for a glass of water.

Her body feels so weak like someone who had a hangover. She drags herself to the kitchen and opened the fridge to take out some bottled water.

While drinking it, she heard the door click open and then she walks back to the sitting room and saw Diana removing her foot wear while carrying some grocery bags.

“You went to the market earlier?” Tihana asked and Diana nods dropping the bags on the table.

“I went to pick out some things, you were so asleep and looked tired so I didn’t bother to wake you up” Diana said as Tia nods.

“I’ll take this to the kitchen then” she smiles and made to carry the bags but Tihana stopped her.

“Sit. We have something to talk about.”

Tihana looks at her and without hesitation, she drags out a chair and sat opposite Diana..

“What do you want to say?.”

“You’re gonna act like things are alright?” Diana raised her brows.

Tihana sighed, swallowed and look away. In an attempt to make no eye contact with Diana.

“Seriously?”

This time, Tihana looks at her and then flash her a fake smile..

“Everything is alright, you don’t have to worry about me.”

“Really? Are you sure I shouldn’t worry?.” Tihana nods and Diana sigh and look away.

“Don’t give it much thought, he can stay with his real family then. As from today Tihana, we’re sisters. We’ll always be by each other”

Tihana’s eyes sparkles as she smiles sadly and went to hug her friend amidst tears.

“Thank you so much Diana. I would have probably been in the street now if not that I have you ”

“You’re welcome. I’ll be leaving for work in an hour, you should prepare breakfast”

Tihana nods like a kid sent to an errand and then she carries the bag and exits the sitting room.

Diana sighed and pull out her cell phone and open her father’s message for the third time. She stepped out of the house and stood outside, dialing her father’s number.

“Sweetheart” her father’s voice came up first and Diana smiles.

“Father. How are you doing?” She asked and look back at the door, more like ensuring Tihana is not close by.

“I’m fine Baby… What’s the problem? Your voice doesn’t sound too strong. Are you sick again?”

“No father, Were you able to get the job for her?”

“Tihana?”

“Yes Father.. she’s going through a really tough time since after finding out about all these things.”

“I feel so bad for her. Anyways, I’ll see what I can do since she’s your tight friend.”

“Thank you so much. I’ll hang up now”

Diana disconnected the call and walk back inside where she sees Tihana dishing out the foods and she smiles at her.

“Come over and eat , Diana” Tihana told her, without ignoring, Diana approaches the table.

“It’s been long I last eat what you cooked. My mouth is already watering, Chef Tihana.”

Tihana giggles. “Don’t flatter me this early , babe.”

Diana smiles as she sat down and waited for her to dish out the rest of the food so they can eat together.
