The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

Chapter 44 Please, Don’t Go!

*DAYS LATER*

“Yes sir, I would bring it to your office as soon as I am done with it.”

“Alright sir.” Diana said again and dropped the telephone back.

She sighed as she brought out the file she needed to work on and submit to her boss before lunch break.

She opened it and set to start working on it. She typed on her laptop when the need arose.

Her mobile phone started ringing from her purse, diverting her attention to it. She ignored it at first but picked it up when the call came in the second time.

“Hello!” She said as she put the phone on speaker and dropped it on her desk whilst she continued her work.

“Hey babe! What’s up?” Wayne asked cooly. Diana lifted her eyes from the file she was working on and smiled lightly.

“I’m good and you?”This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

“Good as long as you’re also good.” Diana chuckled at this statement.

“What if I’m not fine?”

“Then I might as well not be fine.”

“Are you trying to flirt with me right now?” She asked in a giggle.

“Of course not.” Wayne replied.

“Alright then, can you tell me why you won’t be fine if I’m not? ” She asked with a raised eyebrow like he could see her.

Somehow, she was enjoying the conversation and doesn’t want it to stop.

“Because I care.” Wayne replied with no stress and she only smiled.

“Okay, what are you doing now?” Wayne asked.

“I’m in the office doing my job.” She replied with the ‘duh’ tone.

“Oh! I wanted to ask if you would be free before the end of today, maybe we could hang out together or something.” Wayne proposed and Diana bit her lower lip.

“Yeah, I would be free.”

“That’s great news.”

“I will call you when I’m done in the office

“I’ll be waiting.”

“Yeah, bye.” Diana said and cut the call.

She smiled giddily as she rested her head on her chair, forgetting for a moment that she was working on a file.

Tihana catwalked into the huge building in front of her.

“Good afternoon madam.” The secretary greeted with a smile in a standing position immediately she saw her.

“Afternoon, please is your boss in?”

“My husband in?” She corrected immediately to avoid raising suspicions.

“Yes, he is.” The secretary replied in a bright smile.

“Thank you.” She said and left the desk, going upstairs.

“Mrs Tihana?” Mrs Linda called out surprised to see Tihana in the company again.

“Good afternoon Mrs Linda.” Tihana greeted in a wide smile as Mrs Linda approached her just close to the elevator.

“Afternoon dear. Where have you been all these while? The boss said you went to pay your mother a visit and that you would be back soon.” Tihana scoffed within her but didn’t take the smile off her face.

“And just like he said, I’m back now.”

“It’s good to have you back again.” Mrs Linda smiled at her and she nodded.

“Thank you ma.”

“I would go back to my office now, I hope to see you around again.” Mrs Linda smiled at her again and left.

Tihana changed her expression immediately to a serious one as she proceeded to her mission in the company.

Aiden raised his head up to look at the person who barged into his office and he paused for a moment.

Tihana remained at the door with the knob still in her hand. She and Aiden maintained eye contact for seconds and she only broke it when she closed the door behind her.

Aiden also took his eyes away and replaced his surprised expression with a smirk.

“Finally, you decided to come back.”

“Do you really think I would accept you with open arms?” He asked, placing his hand on his desk.

Tihana sighed out and let out a light smile.

“For your information, I am not here to return back to you or anything that has to do with you. Instead, I want us to talk about something important.”

Aiden stopped smirking upon seeing how serious she sounded and looked.

Tihana moved closer to him but didn’t sit down.

“I’ve thought about our relationship together and I see we aren’t going anywhere with it as I can’t give you what you ask of me, so in order not to waste each other’s time, I’ve come to a conclusion.” Tihana paused for seconds as she took in a deep breath.

“I want us to end whatever thing we have between us and forget we ever met.” She brought out some files from her bag and threw it on his desk.

“Those are the contract papers and in them, is the cheque you have given me and my resignation letter.”

Aiden out shock, drew the papers closer to himself to confirm all what she was saying.

He was too shock to contend with what Tihana just uttered but he tried to cover it up.

“Do you really think the contract is this easy to cut off? You can quit your job for all I care, but the contract is something you don’t have a say on. I say when the contract will be over and right now, it isn’t.” Aiden said coldly.

“I have a say too, because I am a citizen who has the same rights you have and I’m not your slave.”

“The contract is over to me and if you still insist on being stubborn, then I have no other choice than to leak the secret of this marriage to the whole world, where they will have to give their opinions and you know what that means.” Tihana challenged with all confidence.

She came prepared and was so ready to return back any tantrum he throws at her.

“And do you think that would scare me? You’re free to take it to wherever you want.” Aiden said with a slight frown.

“I didn’t say it for you to be scared but I told you because I want you to be aware of what you would have to deal with if you force me to leak this out to the world.” Tihana replied with a little smirk.

“I also have proofs to show to them, you know, so it is best you take this as your own defeat.” Tihana said again and turned around to leave.

“Wait!” She heard from behind and halted in her steps.

She didn’t hear anything from him again and turned around to see what he must be doing but was startled when she saw him behind her.

How did he get there without her notice?

She raised a brow at him when he said nothing.

Aiden took few steps forward and Tihana took the same steps backward. They repeated the process till Tihana’s back hit the wall and he placed his hand on the wall, caging her there.

Tihana suddenly remembered back in the room in his house, when he trapped her just like this in a towel.

His strong cologne filled her nose that it was beginning to intoxicate her and she stared into his eyes.

“You’re being too close, step back.” Tihana said, trying to act fierce like earlier but it didn’t help as Aiden only brought his face close to hers.

“Is there anything bad if I decide to be this close to my wife?” Aiden asked amorously.

Tihana gulped down nothing.

“I am no longer your wife, I explained this to you earlier before.” She managed to reply.

“Really?” Aiden asked as he brought his lips to her earlobe and nippled on it softly.

Tihana didn’t realize when she moaned as his teeth touched her ear.

She closed her eyes tight when he took his lips to her neckline and sucked on a spot for some seconds.

What was he doing to her?

Her whole body was on fire and she knows he was doing this on purpose to make her weak.

Aiden was a man who knew when and where to make a lady beg under him with his flirtatious attitude and she guessed that was what he was doing right now.

“Step away from me.” She managed to say weakly.

She was trying to act strong like he was having no effect on her but her body failed her woefully. It seemed like her body also wanted him.

“Tell me one good reason why I should let you go.” Aiden said hoarsely still nibbling on her neck.

Tihana tried as hard as she could to bit back the moans that were trying to come out.

“Because you are selfish. You forcefully slept with me and didn’t apologize for your mistake.” She stuttered out with her legs beginning to shake.

“You didn’t even bother tell me your reason, instead, I heard it from another source, how fair was that?” Tihana continued and Aiden left her neck as he brought his face back to hers.

“Alright, I’m sorry if that is what you wish to hear from me but please don’t go.” He said in a low whisper and crashed his lips on hers.
