Chapter 364 Secrets by the Sea
noveldrama
Nathaniel nodded, carefully touching Frey's hair. His heart skipped a beat, filled with unease.
The next day, a weekend, Nathaniel planned to take Frey on a relaxing trip to nearby tourist attractions.
As they were getting ready to leave, Nathaniel received a call. With Frey right beside him, he heard it. It was from Taylor.
Nathaniel had promised Frey he wouldn't hide anything about Abigail from her, so he had to be transparent and put the call on speaker.
"Mr. Nathaniel..." Taylor's voice was hoarse and dull as if recovering from a hangover. "Mr. Nathaniel, I've always been grateful for your care. I want to catch up with you."
"Mr. Nathaniel, bring Ms. Frey with you. I have something to say to her too. Let's meet at my villa by the sea."
Nathaniel frowned deeply, and Frey was equally puzzled.
He was Nathaniel's subordinate, yet he insisted on meeting both of them, specifically mentioning Frey by name.
Frey looked at Nathaniel, suspecting it was related to their child. She sensed Nathaniel might be hiding something from her.
Feeling uncomfortable under Frey's gaze, Nathaniel agreed to Taylor. "Okay! I'll be there right away!"
"Mr. Nathaniel," Taylor continued, "I only want you and Ms. Frey to come. No one else."
Nathaniel frowned but agreed. He didn't even have time to unpack the stuff he packed into the Hummer and drove Frey to Taylor's villa by the beach.
When East Saeville was first developed, Nathaniel had given each of his confidants a garden villa and a share in the group.
People followed Nathaniel because
he always treated his brothers well.

Nathaniel's Hummer arrived at Taylor's villa. The electronic gate was slowly opened by Taylor with a remote control.
He stood in the study on the second floor, observing the scene outside.
During renovations, Koen and the others teased him. Despite having the lowest education among them, which was only up to fifth grade, Taylor's study was the largest.
He had no relatives or friends and didn't need many guest rooms, so he filled the second floor with books, creating a massive library.
There were quite a lot of books, and Tayloe couldn't understand them anyway.
Visiting Koen, they all marveled at the collection, especially the children's books in the far east corner, which earned Taylor more teasing.
As Frey followed Nathaniel to the second floor, she was surprised. There was no living room, no bedroom, and no social spaces as there were only books.
They found Taylor sitting on the floor in the children's book area, leaning against a bookshelf, drinking.
Taylor had drunk too much. His beard had grown out, he looked much older, and the hair at his temples had turned white.
Seeing Taylor, Nathaniel initially wanted to punch him. He had tasked him with a job, and now he looked disheveled and ghostly. "Nathan! Sit down!"
Nathaniel was stunned. Taylor
calling him "Nathan" took the wind out of his sails. For years, Taylor had stood by him, no matter the danger, always ready to face any challenge together.
