Kataleya Rossi: A Love To Claim Chapter 52
~ ENRIQUE ~
It's a while later and we are all in the dining hall. Jose and Carlos are not here since Dante Rossi's aura is far too intense for them to tolerate for anything more than a few minutes.
He's now sitting beside Kataleya who sits to my left, Skyla, Royce and Ahren also sit on their side. With Elijah sitting at the other end of the long table. The Lycan is sitting on my right, next to him are Kiara, Liam, Rayhan, Delsanra and then Raihana. Sofia's done a good job and did not hold back in any area, there's plenty of dishes to choose from and they all seem to have found something they enjoy. Although I won't admit it, they are Kataleya's family, and even if a certain smug lycan's face fucking annoys me, I will never make her feel as if they are not welcome here. This is now her home just as much as it is mine, and as long as they are here, they will be treated well.
She's smiling at her brother, her plump lips looking so fucking kissable as she talks to him, her boobs moving with every breath she takes, and her hair tumbling down her back catches the light that shines through the window, a few strands framing her gorgeous face.
"If you're done staring?" Alejandro growls.
Frowning, I turn my attention to him. "Do not tell me to stop looking at my woman unless you want me to make sure you are kept ten metres apart from your woman as long as you remain on my island," I growl back.
"I'd like to see you try." Alejandro challenges. I cock a brow.
"Dad, please," Kataleya says softly. "I thought you were happy for me."Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
"Yeah, Mama, he is acting pretty immature and I'm fucking saying this." Skyla agrees as Elijah chuckles.
"Well, you got engaged pretty fast. What do you expect me to do?" Alejandro grumbles.
I tilt my head. "Get used to it. Now unless you're a woman, you have no excuse to act like one who is on her period, or one going through menopause."
Kiara laughs before kissing Alejandro, who looks like he just ate sour cream.
"He's not wrong, Dad, you need to learn to accept that Kataleya is not a baby anymore," Skyla adds.
Kataleya nods, and Alejandro simply glares at her and Elijah before giving me one final scathing glare. "Yeah, well try to be a little fucking subtle. Do we have a plan for tonight?"
"We do, but I will leave soon, and Kataleya and the rest can fill you in," I reply, although the unease of me fucking up or hurting someone makes me lose my appetite. What if it all goes wrong? Kataleya reaches out, taking my hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. "So, what is the hold it has on you? How does it even have a hold on you more like?" Alejandro asks.
"We can only assume. That is something I don't have the answer to." I admit, "I know it's risky not knowing what might happen out there."
Dante looks across at me, leaning back in his seat, and I know something annoying is about to come out of that obnoxious mouth of his.
"So you're confident that you won't hurt her again?"
There it is.
"Don't twist my words, Rossi. I know there's a risk, and I don't doubt my feelings, but I am not a fool to be overconfident."
"Some would say overconfidence is backed by determination, a mindset to make sure there is no room for failure." Dante counters arrogantly. "Or is it all half-hearted?"
"Well, aren't you a cocky cabrón? For someone who is a so-called demi-god, you sure do act like you know all."
"I do clearly know more than you, don't I?" Arrogance drips from his words, a mocking smirk on his fucking face.
My eyes flash as I try to calm my rage, placing my glass down.
"Dante, please. Don't fight," Kataleya says quietly.
"We're having a conversation, you need not worry," I say to Kataleya, my eyes cold the moment they are back on the cabrón's face. "If you know so much, then why is it you have not been able to protect every single person around you?" I challenge. He clenches his jaw. "I didn't say I'm all-knowing. You said that." He counters, a glimmer of irritation in his eyes.
I scoff as I take out a cigarette and light it. "But you sure like to act like you do. You might be a demi-god, but on this island, you are not better than anyone else. You are simply just another guest. Remember that." I stand up, taking a drag on my cigarette just as Kataleya stands up too. I cup her face with one hand, kissing her forehead.
"For someone who acts so arrogant, you don't even know how the crawlers even have a hold on you," Dante remarks.
"Dante, enough. It's not like anyone found the answer to that. Why are you being like this?" Kataleya asks, sounding upset, which angers me more.
"Yeah, you're being a dick. We've all put our heads together but found fuck-all," Skyla hisses whilst Raihana, Liam, Royce and Delsanra agree.
"And you're upsetting your sister. If you want to have a word with me, let's take this shit somewhere else." I counter, my eyes blazing as I jerk my head to the door.
"Dante, please," Kiara warns him as he stands. He simply gives her a nod.
"Sorry, Cherry Blossom," he murmurs to Kataleya, about to reach for her but she turns her head away. I catch a glimpse of her teary eyes which only makes my anger double-fold, my wolf surging forward ready to rip apart anyone who makes her shed a tear. "It's not a big deal," I say to her, giving her a small smile. Although I am raging inside, I refuse to cause her stress over it.
Alejandro's smirk is gone, a small frown on his face as he watches us both. "Remember why you're here," he simply says to his son, the subtle warning there. Dante simply smirks.
"He's a big guy. I'm sure he can handle it."
I don't respond, leading the way out before I end up punching his fucking face and knocking all his teeth out. The moment we are outside I don't hold back my aura. Letting more than half out, he counters with his own, but I hold my ground.
"Whether I know or not, I don't need your stupid fucking arrogance to point out the obvious. I know that I need to figure it out, yet until now we haven't. I'm man enough to fucking admit that, but I do not need a cabrón like you to come onto my land and act like a fucking god, because to me you're still that pathetic arrogant hijo de puta who thinks he's above everyone else," I hiss, my voice dangerously low.
"I didn't say I was above you, unless, of course, that's what you think? You now directly affect my sister, and she's marked you, a mark that won't just go away. All I know is the Rey Carmesí that Hecate has so generously blessed us with holds power that harnesses darkness - you are darkness. What guarantee is it that you won't go to the dark side when the time comes? How do I know that you won't drag Kataleya down with you?" He now removes his shades, glaring back at me with those red orbs that make everything heighten around me, muting out even sound, yet the surge of everything else is enhanced.
"I don't know. What I do know, pendejo, is that you are a fucking asshole. And that even if I hold powers that pull on darkness, it does not make me bad, just as it doesn't make your lycan sister or father bad. You like to dictate, right? Show everyone that you are a fucking all-knowing god? Then let me give you some advice that your all-knowing ass doesn't know," I snarl, glaring into his eyes.
My aura swirls around me, glowing gold and orange as it swirls around me. I can sense Benigno and Antonio behind me, ready to protect me if need be.
"And what might that be, asshole?" he counters, his voice icy, irritation clear in his eyes.
I know that I won't go to the dark side.
"That I am not a cabrón like you, I have nothing to prove to you. And next time you speak to me, remember I am not one of your pack members, nor are you my future father-in-law that I will tolerate this attitude. I'm Enrique Escarra, and I fucking bend to no one." He scoffs as he crosses his arms, "Arrogant asshole."
"As are you. And one last thing, make Kataleya cry again, and you will lose the privilege of visiting her."
That hits a nerve as he reaches out, grabbing me by the collar.
"You can't dictate that!" he snarls.
"No, but I know Mi Reina, she will choose me, so fix your shit up." I challenge. His eyes widen slightly, and I smirk arrogantly. He knows it just like I do. She'll always fucking choose me.
He's about to reply, but I grab his wrist, letting my claws dig in. The smell of blood fills the air, and he shuts his mouth.
I can smell his skin burn under my hand as his grip tightens. His aura surges forth, but it's then I realise he's trying to figure out how strong I am. But I'm not about to show this cabrón about the untouched powers that are just waiting for me to pull on. He may be a demi-god, but my ancestor is Hecate herself.
I rip his hand off me, and he steps back, his sharp eyes burning into me. I raise my cigarette to my lips, irritated that it's burnt to a crisp. I toss it to the ground and take out another. "Stay the fuck out of my way." I warn coldly before I turn and storm off.
