Chapter 6 – Shouting
She saw the brown wolf again. The animal had a serene and confident appearance.
Sera tried to approach, but there was a barrier between them. The woman heard the wolf’s howl and the animal heard her wail. But there was nothing they could do but feel their separation.
Sera woke up in a place where everything was white. A headache made her keep her eyes closed. The sense of loss could still be felt by her.
“Say nothing to her.” – Sera heard Karim say and, soon after, detected increasingly distant steps.
Finally, Sera managed to open her eyes. Next to her were Kyria and Thomas, worried.
Sera smiled and took her notebook that was next to her.
“I’m fine. Don’t look at me like that. What happened?”
“You got weird. Your body twitched and your eyes turned yellow. It sounded like you were screaming. I thought you were going to die. But, only fainted.” – Kyria said relieved.
Sera thought about it for a moment. As she couldn’t reach her wolf, her body probably went into shock.
However, she did not have time to say anything, as Cordelia entered the room. The headmistress asked her friends to leave so she could talk to Sera alone.
The woman sat next to her and asked in a serious but angry way.
“Someone removed your wolf from you, Sera. Who was it?”
The young woman looked away, ashamed, not knowing the reason for that feeling. Guilt took hold of her, perhaps because she felt weak.
“It was him” – she wrote. “My father.” – His lyrics came out a little shaky and almost piercing the paper.
“At the age of six.”
Cordelia looked at her with a mixture of pity and surprise. And in a gesture of affection, she hugged her.NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.
“I’m sorry, honey. You’re safe here. I promise. We’ll find a way to help you get your wolf back.”
Cordelia did not know what to say. Only these words remained.
“Rest a little more.” – Said withdrawing from the site.
Sera closed her eyes and when she opened them again, only Kyria was by her side, as Thomas had work in the library.
“Who brought me here? Thomas?” – Sera asked curious, after all felt strong arms holding her, and well, did not seem the case of her new friend.
Kyria looked around, as if there was no one else around. And then she approached Sera’s ear and whispered.
“It was Karim.” – Sera widened her eyes upon hearing such a name. ” He almost transformed, his eyes became even more yellow, if at all possible. So he stood in front of you and he caught you. He didn’t let anyone near him. He wanted to protect you at all costs.”
Sera didn’t know how to process that information. After all, Karim should be her enemy. Why would he protect her?

A few hours passed and she was able to leave the ward. The young woman reassured Kyria, and said that she would just take a quick shower.
She heard wolves before that. But, it should be normal in a college like that.
The bathroom was empty, which relieved her. At least the shower box brought her some privacy.
She removed her clothes, showing the scars on her skinny body. She turned on the shower, avoiding thinking about them and the one that brought her more shame.
She closed the shower, drying and changing, leaving his hair last.
As it dried, he felt the sensation of being observed. That sensation had never passed since the day he left home.
But she avoided thinking about it. After all, if not even a dark forest attacked her, why would they do it in a safe place like WolfPaws?
Sera wished to be right. However, this was not the case. Time seemed to close, shadows appeared around the bathroom and she tried to escape.
Unfortunately, she was unsuccessful when she saw a gloomy lupine figure, made of black and blue shadows, without sharp eyes and teeth.
“The last clan is here, the clan that hurt me so much, the one that abandoned me. That woman’s child is here. And from what I feel, she can’t even scream.” – The voice said somberly with a sadistic laugh.
Sera should shout. It was what could save her. But no matter how hard she tried, the voice wouldn’t come out.
Unconsciously, she remembered the last time she did.
Sera didn’t know what her mistake was this time. She hadn’t knocked anything down and the food wasn’t bad. Maybe his mistake was just existing.
She was thrown against the wall, he squeezed her neck, making more marks than those already there. Sera tried to breathe, but her grip grew stronger, causing her gaze to lose focus.
He threw her on the table, face down, with his back turned towards him. The man tore her dress, the same as she had already sewn several times.
Sera tried to cling to the table when he touched her from behind, the girl did not scream, did not cry, did not expose any reaction. She just wanted to breathe, but he still kept his hands around his neck.
Until something different happened that day. Sera felt something hot in her body. She was frightened to see a hot iron in his hands.
Sera screamed when he marked her, for years she had not heard her own voice. But that day she screamed as loud as she could, trying to cling to the table, but her hands just slipped.
He cursed her, demanding that she be quiet. She was used to cursing, but could not stop screaming.
Tears of pain trickled down her eyes. Sera could smell her burning skin and felt useless for failing to stop. Her vision was already blurred when she felt him go deeper and deeper inside her.
In the end, she couldn’t take it without erasing. When she opened her eyes, his residue dripped down her legs. The tears slide even hotter down her face. Sera was soiled once more and now humiliated even more, as if it were just an object with a mark of property on its body.
” Clean that up.” – That’s all you could hear from that voice you hated so much.
And that was the last time she screamed until now.
Somehow, her voice came out. She screamed with all her might, asking for help. And she came, in the form of a gray wolf with whom she had already dreamed.
