Theo stretched his hand out and caressed my head as he said in an affectionate voice, "Let's give him the box, then."

His words surprised me, and I stared at him with wide eyes. "Why?"

I wanted to give the box to Jordan at first, but Theo swapped it with a fake one so that I could keep it. Yet, now he was actually asking me to give the box to Cole, which confused me.

Seeing through my doubts, Theo explained, "The reason why I didn't give it to Jordan was that I thought the box contained land deeds. The Fredericks have selfish motives, and I don't want them to gain any advantage from the deeds.
