Chapter 1111 Did You Notice Anything Strange Around Here?
The city wasn’t the most developed place in Monaerim, but it was not bad, just a bit chaotic.
After pondering it for a while, Jenny realized that a chaotic place was more suited for someone of Evan’s status. What she needed to think about now was how to pass on the information that she was here. Unbeknownst to Jenny, her worries were actually unnecessary because when Evan’s private jet landed at Duxdence Airport, Alec had already received the news.
At that moment, opposite the airport, Alec was looking through a telescope at the airport entrance. He saw Evan and his group walk out from the inside. Perhaps because this was his own turf, Evan wasn’t cautious and didn’t bother to take any precautionary measures to conceal themselves. Because of that, Alec could clearly see their movements.
When he saw Jenny, he noticed that she’d lost weight. He deduced that she must not be living well under Evan’s care, which made his heart ache. Evan and his group came out of the airport and got into the car parked at the entrance. Alec and his men followed; he also sent people to install a positioning system on Evan’s private jet to help him locate their position accurately. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
“Where do you want to go?” Evan asked Jenny, who was sitting beside him, in a very gentle tone.
Jenny glanced at the scenery outside the window. To be honest, she wasn’t interested in going anywhere, but she couldn’t say that. She needed to prolong her stay in the city as much as possible so that she could find an opportunity to leave messages for Gilbert, Zack, or Alec. She knew they would definitely come looking for her.
“Let’s go have a look in the mall. I don’t have many clothes, after all.” The few sets of clothes she had were given to her by some women on the island. She’d gone there suddenly and didn’t have any clothes with her.
Hearing that, Evan felt a bit embarrassed. “Sorry. Let’s go to the mail.’
With that, the car headed toward a nearby mall. Soon, they arrived at the location, and Evan took Jenny shopping. Whenever he saw something nice, he would buy it for Jenny without any regard for the cost. Jenny felt helpless about the situation. After a while, she found something she liked. When Evan was about to pay, she quickly said, “Let me try it on first. What if it doesn’t look good?”
“You look good in anything,” Evan replied.
Jenny couldn’t help but roll her eyes at him. This wasn’t shopping-he was basically clearing any existing stock the shops had to offer. At this rate, they would be done soon, and she wouldn’t be able to delay the trip any longer so that she could have an opportunity to send out a message.
Evan smiled and didn’t refuse. “Alright, go try it on.”
With his permission, Jenny took the clothes and headed toward the fitting room.
After she went in, Evan’s smile disappeared. ’Did you notice anything strange around here?”
“I haven’t noticed anything that seemed out of place,” Howard replied.
“Keep an eye out. Alec and the rest won’t just give up like this,’ Evan instructed.
He knew that Jenny had come to the city hoping to pass on a message to Alec and the others, but he wasn’t worried. This was his turf, so he wasn’t afraid of Alec.
Inside the fitting room, Jenny called out, “Can someone help me with the zipper?’
A salesgirl went in to help her, and although Evan wasn’t happy about it, he didn’t say anything. He had his people all around, so he wasn’t worried about Jenny escaping.
Inside the fitting room, Jenny chatted with the salesgirl. Just as she was about to ask her for her phone so that she could use it to send out a message, Evan’s voice came from outside the door. “Are you done yet, Jenny?”
Jenny broke out in a cold sweat and quickly replied, “Almost.”
She was nervous because she hadn’t gotten the chance to message Alec yet. If she missed this opportunity, who knew when she would get another chance again?
